The SpaceThe unit is on a section shared with other residents. Restrictions on the use of the driveway mean that it is necessary to park on the concrete pad at the front of the unit or out on the road so that the driveway is clear for the residents in the back unit to have access at all times. The unit is in a quiet cul-de-sac with friendly neighbours. Close to town it is an easy walk to buses, (Taxis are available at certain times). Guest AccessYou will have the unit to yourselves with two bedrooms, laundry with washing machine, separate toilet, separate bathroom with shower, mirror and vanity. The kitchen area has a fridge/freezer, oven and microwave, jug, toaster etc for your use. The dining area, breakfast bar and sheltered seating area outside, provides a good indoor/outdoor place for meals. The lounge area has a TV and DVD player (Controls on the TV stand) and a heat pump/air conditioner (Control on the wall). Wireless internet access is available and a landline phone for local calls, 0800 calls, 111 calls or calls from a Telstra Clear or Spark card. Interaction with GuestsWe will leave a folder with notes about local sights and places to visit as well as a guide for the various eating places. Please note that we do not provide breakfast in this price so please arrange to buy in food or eat out according to your needs. Breakfast is available at a number of places in town. We have a container with basic coffee, sugar or breakfast tea sachets for your convenience. The NeighborhoodCentennial drive is approx. a 4km walk through tree lined avenues.
Hot springs 10 minutes away provide a 25m swimming pool and a deeper soaking pool
Hobbiton 17 minutes in the other direction has farm tours, the tour of the movie set complete with tour guide explaining the history and more,
Firth Tower (3km) has the iconic Tower built by Josiah Firth which you can climb the stairs inside, with old NZ homestead and historical information.
BMX track (1.1km) is beside one of the many parks in the township. The local skate park is beside McDonalds
Local council pools provide lifeguards and a variety of pools for 8 years and older or for the whole family.

Taxis by phone Other Things to NoteMost places in town with the exception of restaurants and petrol stations are closed by approximately 8.00pm each night. We don't have a dryer but you can use the clothes line at the side of the unit or if the weather happens to be wet, the Laundromat opposite the I-site building opens around 8.00 and closes at 5pm most days, 9 - 12.00 noon on Saturdays and is not open on Sundays.
Visits to Hobbiton need to be booked in advance and can be done at the iconic I-site building.
