Interaction with GuestsThe owner of the cottage, Jørgen Stubberud, is a lawyer from south of Norway who decided to go back to Lofoten where his grandparents used to live and start fishing for cod during the season. His ancestors lived here for thousands of years. He bought the cottage "Stubberudbua" and a fishing boat, and is now a seasonal fisherman. Our friend at Fiskarheimen, Yngvar, will help when Jørgen and his mrs (me) is home in Sarpsborg and not present in Ballstad. The Neighborhood"Fiskarheimen" ("Fishermans Home"); an institution and a continiously meeting place for working fishermen since 1888, providing food, culture and events is located 200 m. away from cottage.
