    The SpaceBeautiful and recently renovated two bedroom cottage on a wine- and equestrian estate only. Lovely finishes were added with fresh new furniture. The perfect escape for some time away. The Space Brand new completely renovated two bedroom cottage on a wine- and equestrian estate only 10 minutes’ drive from the charming centre of Stellenbosch. It forms part of two cottages available for short term rental on the Estate. Both cottages have two bedrooms. Each room has a spacious en-suite bathroom. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, with a lounge and dining area as well as a cosy fireplace. The wooden patio leads out to a private garden with a private barbeque area. The Fijndraai Estate is a boutique wine farm with an equestrian centre and beautiful vineyards. We produce Mediterranean style wines and olive oil. This is the perfect tranquil escape yet close to all the attractions of the surrounding area (easily accessible via the main motorways). The estate is located between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, approximately 30 min from Cape Town and 15 minutes from the nearest beach. Cape Town International Airport is a quick 18 minute drive away. The property is child-friendly, access controlled and extremely safe with a night time security guard. Ideally situated amongst some of the most renowned wine farms in the country, visitors are left with endless options i.t.o. dining and day trips. The nearest grocery store is 8 minutes from the estate. For last minute necessities, there are other closer markets just outside the Estate where you can buy basic groceries like milk, bread and fruit. The Estate is very well located and you won't struggle to get hold of anything that you need. Covered parking is available by the cottage and we supply towels and linen and basic amenities on arrival. Daily cleaning services are available at an additional cost if arranged in advance. Please note that there aren't any pets that stay in the cottage but as it is a farm there are domestic animals on the premises. We also have horses, ducks, geese and a few small wild buck. There are many mountain biking routs around the farm and it is also a safe environment to go for a walk or run. Additional services that are available on request.     The SpaceI have a tidy homely guest room located at the side of the house. It contains a comfortable double bed, chest of drawers, bar fridge and facility to make tea/coffee. It has an en suite shower and toilet. It has independent access. On request, breakfast can be served in the main house. Respectfully this accommodation is only suitable for non-smokers. The location is a lovely quite leafy suburb of Somerset West and is safe for walking/cycling. It is in close proximity to the lovely seaside Strand beach and not far from the upmarket Somerset West shopping mall. The beauty of the Helderberg mountains can be seen from all directions and the Helderberg Nature Reserve is also close by and offers wonderful scenic walks/hikes. Not forgetting two renowned wine estates i.e. The Lourensford Wine estate and Vergelegen wine estate, are also just a stone's throw away as well as Morgenster wine and olive estate. A short drive will take you to Route 44 Market at Audacia Farm and Mooiberge farm well known for its stawberries and farm stall. And last but not least, is the Cheetah Outreach in close proximity where one can have an animal encounter.     The Space###PLEASE MESSAGE WITH PRICE UPDATES - DEPENDS ON NUMBER OF PEOPLE AND ROOMS USED### The apartment has floor to ceiling glass windows that show off some of the most remarkable views all around the building. We are on the 7th floor and can therefore get uninterrupted vistas of False Bay, the Indian Ocean, Strand Beach, the Cape Peninsula, Hottentots-Holland Mountains, Somerset West, the Helderberg and Cape Point! Our flat in the Strand, Cape Town, is on Beach Road and is perfect for those wanting to escape from the madness of the city. The apartment is rented out as a private rental (we don't have more than one booking at a time) and can sleep up to 6 people. The rooms are as follows: Two doubles, one twin. A fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dryer leads into the lounge dining area that makes you want to stare at the ocean all day. Satellite TV is available (R50/day activation charge) along with the HiFi and DVD system. Strand is a quiet neighbourhood on the edges of Cape Town. The city centre is 40km (35 minutes) away while the airport is 20km (15 minutes) away. The Stellenbosch Wine Region is also just around the corner! A number of great restaurants and bars are available all along Beach Road and there is a corner cafe next to the building. Strand Beach is one of the longest in Cape Town and has some of the best swimming and surfing! The building, St Tropez, is well maintained and has excellent security. There is a coin laundry on site and outdoor barbecue facilities are available in the common area. Parking is available in a secure garage. Strand station is 20 minutes walk away and a number of buses and taxis are available. To close, there are just too many attractions within easy reach of this incredible apartment to mention here. Some include scuba diving, wine tasting, surfing, hiking, beach-hopping, sailing, eating, partying, relaxing so we know you will have a fantastic time! The owners live in Cape Town but are always within mobile reach. They have lived in the area for decades and love exploring the region so are more than willing to advise and help out. This apartment provides for provides for a more independent group but we are here to help. Rules: Unfortunately there are no pets allowed in the building. We do not have internet in the apartment No smoking inside. Cleaning fee on request for longer stays R500 (we only service the apartment before check-in and after check-out). Most of the famous wineries offer wine tastings. Feast in some of the highest rated Restaurants in the country. Over the weekends there are several Slow Food Markets between Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Somerset Mall offers more than 200 upmarket shops, restaurants and cinemas. The Cheetah sanctuary is just across the road.

Getting AroundThe cottage is walking distance from the beach and 5 minutes from a shop (for bread, milk etc.). The local train station & Stellenbosch-Strand bus is also about 10 - 15 minutes walk. You would rely on UBER's or taxi's to get around otherwise. Other Things to NoteAt the moment South Africa has a drought, so the garden is very dry and not very pretty to sit in - since we can't water it. The house is setup to accommodate up to 30 people with a mixture of king, queen, twin and bunk beds all with luxury linens in each bedroom. The home has multiple living and working areas including 2 kitchens, a large family lounge and dining room, an indoor bbq (braai) room, an outside pool room as well as a garden oasis for family or team members to spread out. Lots of trees and green areas nearby. 2 km away is a lovely natural Park area where one can walk next to the Lourensford river. There are several good restaurants nearby. My favourite being on Vergelegen Estate, (+-2km away) which has so much to offer apart from good restaurants: the gardens and grounds are beautiful, the historical homestead and museum, worth a visit and then there is the wine to be tasted. Appliances include stove, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, TV & BBQ. The property consists of three bedrooms of which two have sliding doors opening up onto the large deck. The third room has two built-in bunks large enough for both adults or children. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all electrical appliances including a stove, fridge/freezer, dish washer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery and cooking utensils. There is a beautiful view from the kitchen onto the courtyard on the one side and the sea on the opposite side. There is a lounge / dining room with a fireplace leading onto the large deck via sliding doors as well. The deck has a built-in braai (BBQ) with comforatable deck furniture. The aparrtment has one bathroom and shower plus a separate toilet. Guests will have access to the garden and the laundry. There will be a change of linen every third day and cleaning once a week. Additional cleaning services can be arranged. I will be present most of the time but also have an arrangment to have someone there should I not be present. The area forms part of the greater Cape Town and is an extension of the winelands. The mountain and sea views are awesome and it is still looked upon as being a small fishing village. The location is central to Cape Town, the airport, the winelands and to a number of tourist attractions e.g. Cape Point and Hermanus (whale watching). It is within walking distance of the main beach, restaurants and shops. Overlooking False Bay, various water sports including fishing, yachting, jetskiing etc. is on available. Hang Gliding and Shark Cage diving can be arranged as it is offered in the nearby vicinity. There are a number of championship golf courses in the direct vicinity and bookings can be made on your behalf. There are various taxi services available but in general there is no public transport as such. A new City Bus service is being introduced but is not operating fully to all the outlying areas such as Gordon's Bay. The best way to get to the property is by car or to take an airport transfer which can be arranged on arrival with one of the transport companies situated at the airport. Some days could be rather windy but then it is the best time to visit places like Stellenbosch or Franschhoek as the weather patterns are very different due to the mountain ranges in the area.
