The SpaceYou are more than welcome to share my nice and cozy 2-storey wooden house with me. You'll get your own bedroom right in the center of Tromsø. The room is located on the top floor and has a lock. On the same floor you can find the bathroom and my bedroom and on the ground floor you will have access to the living room and kitchen, on this floor you will also find a small entrance and the door to the garden.
The bedroom has 150cm queen size beds and is suitable for two persons to share. Even if you will have one in your room, wardrobe-space might be a little limited if you are coming for a long stay, but there´s room for hanging suits and dresses, as well as a drawer or 2 if you need it. Guest AccessWe will share the common areas, including kitchen, living room and bathroom. Upon your arrival, you will find towels and blankets available. Daily use products such as toilet paper, paper towels or soap are also available for your use.
The flat has a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with washing machine that is available for the guests. In the kitchen you will find a refrigerator with freezer exclusively for you. You will also have access to the dishwasher, microwave and utensils for cooking. If you have any questions regarding how to use the washing machine, just ask me and I'll help.
There is a television in the living room, but unfortunately there are no channels available. However, you can connect your PC via HDMI easily. You can use the wireless network without any problem!
You will also have access to the small garden and a balcony from which you will be able to see the northern lights depending on the weather and solar activity. Interaction with GuestsIn the mornings I work at the university, but I will be as much available as possible during your stay. If you have any emergency you can contact me via private message or telephone at any time. The NeighborhoodThe house is located right in the heart of Tromsø, just 600 meters away from the main street Storgata, but still in a quiet area. From here you will be able to easily walk to the center if you fancy a coffee or a beer, eat something in one of the restaurants in town, visit some of the museums or just walk around. Most museums are reached by walking distance and the same applies to all the tourist information areas as well as the companies that organize excursions. Getting AroundAfter less than two minutes walk you can find bus stops for most of the relevant bus lines of the city: 20, 24, 21, 26, 28 and 40. With these buses you can easily reach the Arctic Cathedral, Botanical Garden, the university campus, the Jekta mall or the airport.
If you decide to rent a car there is a parking place available in the house, but you must let me know that you will need it in advance. It is also possible to park on the street right in front of the house, but unfortunately is not free and limited to 2 hours (Paid parking from 8:00 to 17:00 - Monday to Friday) . On Saturday the payment schedule is only from 8:00 to 15:00. Sundays, holidays and weekdays from 17:00 to 8:00 the street parking is free. Other Things to NoteAs I live here on daily basis, I would like to welcome you here upon your arrival. However, if I'm not at home, I will leave a copy of the key for you so you can enter the house as soon as you get here.
