Sunset Beach House is a very nice house on the beach situated in a small peaceful fishermen village in a well-protected bay, which serve as a rich-fishing ground for the whole village, a perfect place for being at peace, living a very simple life...a place to witness the most beautiful and spectacular sunset. The house has been built with natural materials located in the middle of a long white beach, full of marine life.
The beach house is divided in two completely independent apartments, each apartment(80sq.m. per unit) is furnished with hot and cold shower, 2 rooms with matrimonial bed,complete kitchenware with stove and refrigerator, dining place, a veranda with hammock for great ocean view and efficient lighting system and ceiling fans for those who wish to enjoy the cool island breeze.
Sunset Beach House is very accessible for only 1-hour flight from Manila or only 2 hours by boat or cruise ship from Boracay (Boracay is the No.1 tourist destination in the Philippines, they provide services such as renewal of visas). You can arrive by the sea with 2go is a beautiful cruise ship from Batangas (1 hour and 30 minutes south of Manila) every Tuesday and Friday (departs at 9pm, arrives at 4am), the ship arrives in Odiongan the capital of Tablas which is 40 minutes away from the house. You can arrive by the sea with 2go ship also from Caticlan (Boracay) 1-hour flight from Manila, the ship departs from Caticlan every Thursday and Sunday at 8am arrives Odiongan at 10am.
Have your breakfast in an open space veranda with hammock where you can enjoy the nice ocean view and see fishermen arriving early morning with freshly catch fish where you can have it for a very humble price. The easiest way to cook dinner is grilled potatoes and grilled fish, the BBQ is in the front yard of the house. Other food necessities such as rice, eggs, fruits, veggies, beer, soft drinks can be purchased from the village.
If you do not want to cook, shop your food and let our service lady prepare the food and rearrange the table after each meal and washing the dishes:Lunch and Dinner preparation(the same day): 400Php
The city of Looc is 15 minutes by boat or 50 minutes by car or motorbike, it is a very small city but there are amenities like hospitals, pharmacies,internet point,local food shops,wet markets. Markets are open everyday where you can shop for fresh local foods for very low price...there are also imported wines. There are fishermen in the village willing to take you to Looc and back whenever you want for only 300Php, there are also passengers boat going to Looc early morning, the fare is 30Php per person.
In the shoreline of the village, everyday we experience the low tide and high tide, the rise and fall of the sea level. There are times when you wake up in the morning, there are no water at all. The water can be reached beyond the islet in front of the house which is about 80 meters, during this time you can see fishermen or their wives and children collect edible mollusks, squid,crabs, and algae. There are also a lot of starfishes with different colors and dimensions, slowly around 10 in the morning, the water has already reached the shoreline.
