The SpaceMy flat has many pieces of colourful art and fabrics from all around the world, especially from Africa where I lived for many years. There are hand-made quilts and cushions in the flat, as I have a small patchworking company at home. I have a large music selection too, which guests are welcome to enjoy, and the kitchen and living room are free to use too. I provide breakfast for guests to help themselves to in the morning: home-baked bread, local eggs, home-made jam, and muesli. Many kinds of tea, and coffee, are available and complimentary for guests to enjoy. The flat is right on the water and is centrally located for pubs and restaurants, and perfect for people who like hiking, swimming, horse riding, bird watching, swimming, or just being outside. The bathroom has recently been renovated to a high standard, with bathtub, shower and underfloor heating. I am always happy to share knowledge of the local area, good restaurants to visit, cozy pubs, walks, artists to look out for. I will do my best to make your stay a good one! As I welcome single-traveller guests, the price quoted is for one person, with an additional fee for a couple. Guest AccessThe flat is shared with one other person (me), and the bathroom is shared too. You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook your own meals, but please leave it as you found it. I can also provide information on local places to eat and buy locally-grown produce. Interaction with GuestsI work from home, in a separate office within the flat, so in the day-time I am at home. While I need privacy at this time, I am happy to provide information for your stay. In the evenings, I enjoy sharing a meal or a drink in front of the fire (or at the pub along the street!). The NeighborhoodThe street has a friendly atmosphere, local shops and a good arts centre with great live music and theatre. Tobermory is close to waterfalls, beaches, woodland walks and moors, so there is plenty to keep you busy, especially when the sun shines. If it's a rainy day, my flat is a warm and cozy place to spend some relaxing time. Getting AroundThere is a bus service to the ferry and to other parts of the island, but it is infrequent, especially in winter. Other Things to NoteDuring the summer, there are many things to do and the town gets quite busy with tourists. Some things, like restaurants and wildlife trips, close for the winter, but there are still lots of cozy things to enjoy, like Christmas fairs and music shows.
