The NeighborhoodMngazana is a small village of "mixmasala" - blacks, coloureds, whites, indians living peaceably together-open,respectful and sharing within their various cultures. A wonderful place to chill, enjoy and remember how life was a long time ago.....and still is in Africa Getting AroundFar from public transport. Not a place one would want to come to in order to go away from - in a hurry. Emergencies: "Sugar-man ......wont you hurry!" He is The Man - in any situation that requires immediate transport or an emergency. There is one taxi that leaves once a day........early am. Hospital close by - Isilimela Hospital - about 12km. Other Things to NoteAccess: Sugacottage is accessible by normal vehicles under most conditions although heavy rains may require the vehicle to be parked at the top of the driveway and Sugar will arrange to porter provisions down (40m). If you have a 4x4 at your disposal, bring it along and it will make travel around the village more comfortable (access to fishing spots on the river can be tricky). If intending to go to beach best to take non-slip shoes as rocks can be dangerous!! DO NOT forget to ask Sugar about Mermaids pool and other dipping spots - glorious!!
