The SpaceThis luxury lodge is fully staffed and is run as a five star safari facility for its owners and guests. The entire lodge is booked out for one group at a time for their sole use, anywhere between 4 to 10 guests. The lodge is managed by an experienced lodge manager and his team. The lodge staff will also service your rooms, cook for you and do your laundry as required.
The lodge has five bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom including indoor and outdoor showers and bath and fireplace. All but two of the bedrooms are free standing made from natural stone and thatch. Two of the bedrooms are connected with their own private lounge and can be used by two couples or for parents with younger children who wish to have their kids closer by. The main area comprises of a lounge, dining room, bar area and swimming pool. The main living area comprises of a lounge, dining room, bar area, large patio and swimming pool and outside boma and firepit.
The cost is based for full use of the lodge per night (maximum of 10 guests). It includes all your game drives (two per day - morning and evening), plus three sumptuous meals per day, local drinks (unless abused or consumed in excess),park fees and daily housekeeping.
Additional costs that will need to be settled at the lodge directly are any premium beverage costs and staff gratuities. We also recommend that all guests take out full personal travel insurance when travelling.

There is also an airstrip for anyone wanting to do a private charter into the Reserve.
Guests will arrive at the Welgevonden Game Reserve main entrance, where they will be met by the camp manager. Guest's vehicle are parked safely at the main gate and from then onwards they will be travelling to the lodge and around the reserve on the lodge's specially converted 4x4 Landcruiser open game-viewer vehicle Interaction with GuestsThe lodge is fully staffed and is run a by an experienced lodge management couple as a five star safari facility. Your safari guide will host you on twice daily game drives in the Reserve. The schedule can be tailor made to suit you but generally focuses on a morning and late afternoon game drive with the heat of the day enjoying a swim or siesta. The NeighborhoodThe "neighbourhood" is a 75,000 acre private game reserve that has all the "Big 5" wildlife and all the regions naturally occurring plains game. Wildlife here includes, elephants, lion. rhino, buffalo, leopard, zebra, giraffe, impala, waterbuck, klipspringer, duiker, wildlebeest, warthogs etc Getting AroundGuests will be met by the lodge manager at the Welgevonden Game Reserve main gate . Here their vehicle will be safely park and from then on they will be travelling to the lodge and around the reserve on the lodge's specially converted open 4x4 Landcruiser open game-viewer vehicle. Other Things to NoteThis area is a non malarial area so no malarial prophylactics are required and therefore a great alternative option for family safaris.
The lodge is owned by a small group of individuals who use the lodge for their own personal enjoyment . The lodge is booked out for the solo use of one group at a time and guests have the personal service of the management couple and their staff to look after them . The cost includes game drives, three sumptuous meals per day, cleaning of your rooms and laundry. All bookings (including these via AirBnB) are on a first come-first served basis. The lodge's internal reservation system is not able to connect to AirBnB's so all bookings are on a request basis.
