The SpaceCats and Lemons self catering apartments: We offer fully equipped 1 bedroom apartments. In the on suite bedroom there are 2 single beds which can be used as a king size bed. There are aircons in the bedrooms of the apartments upstairs. We provide towels and bedding. The living area is furnished with a daybed/sleeper couch, table, chairs and a TV set. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, two plate stove, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is parking on the driveway with lights and sensor lights at night. Guests are welcome to arrange the use of the pool with us. We are close to the mountain with lovely hiking and cycling trails. Stellenbosch is rich in history and culture and surrounded by beautiful wine farms. The Slow Food Market on a Saturday morning is not to be missed. We are 50 minutes from Cape Town and the Waterfront. Please note that the rate quoted is for a single person. The rate for two people sharing is R700 per night. If there is a third (and fourth) person in the apartment, the third (and fourth) pays R200 per night. The first two people use the beds in the bedroom and the rest have to use the sleeper couch in the living area. On arrival there will be a welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, rusks and cereal for the first morning. We are about one and a half km from the centre of town. For most people it is a pleasant walk. This is a quiet residential area and as safe as any place in South Africa can be. Because the apartments are fairly close to each other and many guests are here to study and attend courses, we cannot allow a loud noise. Guest AccessWe have free wifi. Guests are welcome to use the pool and washing machine in the courtyard. Interaction with GuestsHowever much they want. From time to time we invite all guests to have dinner, breakfast or a cup/glass of something with us. The NeighborhoodBeautiful, quiet, close to mountain, about 1 - 2 km from town. Stellenbosch is a nice town to use as a base for doing day trips to Cape Town, Cape Point, Blouberg, Hermanus, Franschoek, etc. Getting AroundWalk or cycle. I am able to help with transport when I am free. Many guests use Uber or rent cars. There are shuttles and a tuk-tuk available. The SpaceDalsighof 16 is a spacious three bedroom [sleep six (6)] self-catering apartment situated in a safe and upmarket neighbourhood in Stellenbosch. The apartment has an open plan dining/sitting room, a newly renovated kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the mountains and sport fields. Two bedrooms have twin beds and the main bedroom has a double bed. One of the bathrooms has a bath, toilet and a washbasin and the other bathroom has a shower and a washbasin with a separate guest toilet. High quality linen and towels as well as soap in the bathrooms are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, and oven. A television in the sitting room has SABC channels (feel free to bring your DSTV decoder should you like more TV channels). To assure absolute comfort on those warm summer days you can make use of the air-conditioning. The dining/sitting room has beautiful views of Stellenbosch and from the balcony you can enjoy sundowners while taking in your surroundings. Two parking places are available, of which one is undercover with an automatic garage door. The apartment is ideally located close to the Stellenbosch town centre. The SpaceWhile this is a private villa, guests have access to the L'Ermitage Hotel restaurant and bar, as well as the swimming pool. Interaction with GuestsWe live in Cape Town and unless there is a problem, do not usually have contact with our guests in Franschhoek. The key is collected and dropped off at the hotel reception.

The SpaceQuiver Tree boasts a beautiful and contemporary 2-bedroom apartment. This apartment is newly renovated and has a balcony overlooking the Stellenbosch mountain and beautiful church. Its a fully equipped self-catering apartment that caters to all your needs. The apartment has a stunning and compact kitchen, small dining area and desk area for work or studies and WIFI. The living room has a TV and a selected DSTV bouquet. We have a laundry room on site and also offer cleaning services for short and long term stay. Quiver Tree is a vibrant space where you can relax and at the same time be productive. Its close to all the attractions and the surroundings. Its a short 5min drive and 15min walk to the centre of town. Quiver Tree is close to the N1 and N2 main routes which will take you to the airport in approximately 20min. The property is access controlled and extremely safe with 24hour security. Each apartment is allocated an underground parking and we also have a safe space to store your bicycle on the premises. The NeighborhoodQuiver Tree is surrounded by some of the most beautiful wine farms South Africa has to offer. Its enclosed by a majestic mountain and we urge all guests to explore the historic town of Stellenbosch and definitely pop into all the amazing wine farms for tastings. The University of Stellenbosch has beautiful architecture and is only a short 11min walk from Quiver Tree. The nearest grocery store is a quick 10min walk. Stellenbosch also offers weekend markets like the Slow Food and Root 44 markets for those fresh goodies. Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is a approximately 8min drive from Quiver Tree and offers beautiful mountain bike and hiking trails which are highly recommended. Getting Around 2. Bothmaskop Bothmaskop is situated to the south of Helshoogte Pass, and forms the north western boundary of the Jonkershoek Valley. There is some good single-track here, although not well maintained. It is mostly steep up followed by steep down type of riding, thus forms a good bit of riding to throw into an extended training ride! Cycling tips: Not so extensively used by mountain bikers, but well worth the effort. Good to practice those climbing skills and train the legs! Generally safe, but try to ride in a group or don't ride here too late in the day. Enjoy the views and the burning sensation in your lungs! 3. Coetzenburg This area forms the southern boundary to Stellenbosch University grounds and is situated on the slopes of Stellenbosch Mountain. Extensively used by runners and dog walkers as well as mountain bikers in the late afternoon, you can be sure of having some company. Cycling tips: Generally safe to ride, but there has been some incidents, be prepared and ride with friends. Great single track riding, a bit rocky in places. Ride your bike there from town and head up through Welgevallen experimental farm onto the Mountain Road. Not such a large area, thus great to make it part of a longer ride at the start or end, as you can just descend back into town. 4. Eden This is the small forestry area further south towards the coast from Coetzenburg. You can ride here from Coetzenburg if you climb to the top of the single track on the right of the dam, find the contour track and follow it to Eden. There are also some downhill routes for the not so faint hearted! Cycling tips: Great single-track mountain bike trails in a relatively small area. Bring the climbing legs, you'll be climbing, descending and traversing - over and over! Great on windy days as it is very sheltered behind the mountain and the trees. Close by is a little gem of a track recently completed, but you'll have to know someone... 5. Pappegaaiberg Riding here used to be exceptional before all the plantation trees burnt down durnig a big fire. It still has some nice mountain bike trails and jeep tracks, albeit a bit erroded now due to the trees being gone. Unfortunately not a very safe area to ride anymore and hardly visited by mountain bikers. Cycling tips: Not safe to ride unless in a large group, has had a number of incidents. Great views over the surrounding wine farms and towards the coast. Close to town Other Things to NoteWe offer long term stay as well: 1 - 12 months: R12500 per month Deposit: We require a one month deposit for stays from 1 - 6 months and two months deposit for stays 6 - 12 months. Cleaning Services: Short Term Stay: Cleaning service (only applicable for stays of longer than 3 days): The apartment will be spot cleaned between 10h00 and 12h00 every Tuesday and Friday. Towels and bed linen will be changed once a week. Cleaning Services will not be available over weekends. The cleaning of dishes will be the guest's responsibility. Long Term Stay: The monthly rent includes a weekly spot cleaning service and linen and towel change.

We have a luxury room (De Luxe) R1250 per night with a kingsize bed which can be made into two single beds if you wish with a large complete bathroom consisting of bath, double basins, bidet, toilet and large shower en-suite. We also have a Family Room for groups or the single traveler or those who do not wish to share a double bed at R550 per single bed per night. This section of the house consists of a room with a King size (R1100) or two single beds and two single beds (R350) in the adjoining lounge. The room has a shower, basin, bidet & toilet en-suite. Large bright rooms leading out to a spacious dining/lounging terrace with views of vineyards and mountains. There is a screening room with 20 huge leather armchairs in which to watch quirky movies, while sipping complimentary wine. Hiking trails, trout fishing and horseback wine tours are optional diversions, as well as dozens of wineries for tasting and myriad shops to explore. The valley is bordered on all sides by mountains, and lush vineyards are everywhere. The SpaceBerry Cottage is a 2-bedroomed self-catering cottage set in a garden on a small berry farm. It is 5kms from Franschhoek. 1 x double-bedroom ensuite, 1 x 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds with an adjacent bathroom. The cottage is well-appointed with cotton percale linen. It has a relaxed and warm feel. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a microwave, 2-plate stove with small oven and fridge. The fireplace in the lounge allows for cosy winter evenings. La Motte wine estate is the immediate neighbour - its restaurant, art gallery, museum and wine tasting is within walking distance, as are Goederust Farm Kitchen and Bread & Wine restaurant. Franschhoek offers wine tasting, culinary experiences, art galleries and spas. Nelson Mandela statue is close by at the Drakenstein prison and is worth a visit. There are also hikes, mountain biking, trout fishing and horse riding for the energetic in the area. Berry Cottage is an ideal place to experience the many Franschhoek festivals such as the Literary Festival in May, Bastille Day in July, the music festival in October or the Champagne Festival in December.

The SpaceCats and Lemons self catering apartments: We have fully equipped 1 bedroom apartments. In the on suite bedroom there are 2 single beds which can be used as a king size bed. We provide all towels and bedding. The living area is furnished with a daybed/sleeper couch, table, chairs and a TV set. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. A two plate stove is available on request. There is parking on the driveway with lights and sensor lights at night. We are close to the mountain with lovely hiking and cycling trails. Stellenbosch is rich in history and culture and surrounded by beautiful wine farms. The Slow Food Market on a Saturday morning is not to be missed. We are 50 minutes from Cape Town and the Waterfront. Single rate is R500 per night. For two people sharing the rate is R700 per night. If there is a third person in the apartment, the third (and fourth) pays R200 per night. The first two people use the beds in the bedroom and the rest have to use the sleeper couch in the living area. On arrival there will be a welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, rusks and cereal for the first morning. We are about 1.5 km from the centre of the town. For many people it is a pleasant walk. Guests are welcome to use our bicycles. We can do airport pickups for R300 and we also do day and half day trips on requests. The SpaceNO.2 Paris Crescent is a Victorian style self catering cottage, nestled below the Franschhoek pass,with lovely views of the Franschhoek mountains. The cottage has two big bedrooms, Queen and King, or 2 singles, with two bathrooms. There is a extra bunk room, perfect for the kids. Comfortable spacious well- equipped open-plan kitchen, lounge/living/dinning room area with cosy fireplace, satellite TV. This charming Franschhoek cottage, leads onto a covered verandah with comfortable furniture and a small plunge pool/jacuzzi with a lavender filled private garden. From here there are amazing views of the Franschhoek mountains & vineyards. There is plenty of off- street parking available and is ideal for families & kids. The cottage is a perfect place from which to enjoy all that Franschhoek has to offer. Franschhoek is only 45min from Cape Town city centre and only 1 hour away from Cape Town’s newly built International & Domestic Airport. Franschhoek also has some of the best restaurants in South Africa, not to mention the the outstanding wines on offer. Outdoor activities include hiking, paragliding, road and mountain biking, horse-riding, and fly-fishing for trout in the local dams and rivers. The SpaceHere at Cats and Lemons we have one bedroom self catering apartments. There are two single beds, which can be used as a king size bed, in the bedroom. In the living area there is a daybed, table and chairs and tv. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Up to 4 people can sleep in the apartment. The single rate is R500 per night. If two people share, it is R700 per night and if there are more, they pay R200 pp per night and have to sleep on the sleeper couch in the living area. We are about 1.5 km from the centre of town and for most people it is a pleasant walk. Upstairs apartments have aircon in the bedrooms. Downstairs apartments have fans and heaters. We are about 300 meters from the mountain with lovely hiking and very popular mountain biking trails. We provide bedding and towels. Cleaning is the guest's responsibility but can also be arranged at R250 a day for one day a week. We have a washing machine in the courtyard which the guests may use. We do however invite guests to a light breakfast, tea of dinner from time to time just to meet one another. Many of our guests stay longer and become friends with others here. The NeighborhoodLovely, quiet, green, close to mountain and walking distance to town - about 1 - 2 km. Getting AroundPublic transport is a problem, but a plan can be made. You can walk everywhere in town or use our bicycles (old, but OK) or when I am free (most of the time) I am willing to help. Many people use Uber or rent cars. Other Things to NoteStellenbosch offers something for everyone: nature, culture, markets, wine farms, sport facilities, etc. Guests can easily do day trips to Hermanus, Greyton, Cape Town, Cape Point, Blouberg, etc. from here.
