The SpaceThis 60 sqm private open plan apartment with a separate entrance consists of a mezzanine sleeping area looking down upon the main living area with large windows, giving the impression of living in the large, kept garden with its abundant birdlife. Air conditioning is available to help regulate the extreme temperatures of Paarl, or make use of the pool during summer. Downstairs is a kitchenette equipped for selfcatering. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and basin. There is a communal barbeque area in the garden and other communal options of dining outside, next to the pool. The property is at the foot of Paarl mountain with the start of hiking trails, mountain biking and birding virtually on your doorstep. Mountain bikes are available for hire at Cycle4 life. Please book in advance. The 27 hole Boschenmeer Golf Estate, with clubs for hire, is minutes away. Being in Southern Paarl, reaching Stellenbosch, Franchhhoek and Cape Town is made much easier. As with the wineries. From mega like the KWV across the road, to large like Fairview, to Garagiste operations of which the owner will be proud to share his. Pick your restaurant. Some across the road, some within walking or short driving distance or, if you choose, the best of Franschhoek, all perfectly able to satisfy your needs. I will be available to provide guidance should guests need more information. Close to the Paarl Nature Reserve, my property provides access to hiking and mountain biking trails. It is advised that guests rent their own vehicle or arrange own transport. Although it being a spacious en open plan apartment, the bathroom and kitchen facilities are at most suitable for two people. The SpaceThe house has a lot of character; having been built between 1800 and 1812. It has a thatch roof, very thick walls and has been restored to its original style, i.e. the so-called Kaapse Volksboustyl. The room is spacious with an equally spacious en suite bathroom. It is private with a lovely view of the ivy-covered granite rock at the back with plenty of natural light. All bedding as well as bath towels provided. Heater, electric blanket and extra blankets in winter. The entire upstairs lounge area is available exclusively to guests. Swimming pool. Guest AccessSwimming pool at own risk. The NeighborhoodThe house is situated in the first street that Paarl had; it used to be the main street. It is a historic street with a lovely vibe; the community members take their dogs for walks, children ride their bicycles and people jog. There are other beautiful historic houses in the street and we have our own neighbourhood theatre just 2 buildings from our house. The school sports field across the road from us also (email hidden) space. We are also within walking distance to the town centre and a number of restaurants. Getting AroundThere is a taxi service in town and we are also within walking distance to the town centre; various shops, a laundry, a gym, a supermarket, cafe's, a gas station, banks with ATMs and restaurants. We can provide transport / transfers at request and at extra cost. Other Things to NotePaarl is the biggest of the Boland towns. We have top rated restaurants and wineries in and around the town. It is easily accessible from Cape Town and within short driving distance to Wellington, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Riebeek Kasteel.

The kitchen is well equipped. No wifi is available. Washing machine and tumble dryer is for your use. Getting AroundIt is best if you have your own transport, since places are far apart and our public transport is not great. Other Things to NoteNO smoking in the house. This is very important.

          The SpaceLa Estancia is a working Olive and Buchu farm in the Hawequa Moutains above Paarl. The farm is situated inside the nature reserve and is exceptionally peaceful. A rare place where you can walk in the mountains in perfect safety, with views over the Cape Winlands. The Manager's House is self catering. We can supply breakfast on request and tea, excellent coffee and milk are always provided. If you are booking for a larger group, consider booking The Guest House at La Estancia as well. The Manager's House has only one bathroom, while the Guest House has an en-suite, so allows for more privacy. The Manager's House is priced per person, the Guest House is priced for the room, so you might get better value too. We don't mind if you book the Manager's House for one, the Guest House for two, or indeed any combination that works for you. Walks on the farm are spectacular. You are welcome to use all the facilities on the farm - even swim in the dam which is completely safe. One of the most beautiful sights in the world is the sun setting behind Table Mountain 60 KM to the west and you are welcome to have sundowners on the lawn by the dam and watch the sunset from there. This is a working farm, so there will be some noise on weekday mornings. Evenings and weekends are very peaceful. During winter and early spring the fynbos (Cape wildflowers) is spectacular and fynbos safaris and sundowners are available on fine evenings. The NeighborhoodPaarl is in the heart of the Cape Winelands making this the ideal point to explore the Winelands. We are situated 15 minutes from Paarl, 30 minutes from Franschhoek and 40 minutes from Stellenbosch. Many of the best restaurants and winefarms in the Cape are within 30 minutes drive of the farm. We are always happy to recommend favourites. Getting AroundThe farm is only 10 minutes from the N1, one of the main arteries of the Cape. It is 45 minutes from The Waterfront in Cape Town and 1 hour from Constantia or Camps Bay. The farm is less than a kilometre on the public road from the wedding venues at Ashanti, Palmiet Valley, Mountain Shadows and Nederburg. Access is via another couple of KM of private dirt road. Other Things to NoteOur dogs are part of the family and very friendly. They will probably pop in to say hello! If you are not a dog lover this might not be the ideal accommodation for you. If you are, you are in for a treat! Dogs are very welcome and ours are very sociable. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a dog with you and please respect the furniture!
