Stay within a typical working farm environment with loads of animal and bird life to enjoy. Vleidam farm has plenty of activities with its picturesque mountain or “koppies', ideal for hiking or 4x4 trailing, which takes you to phenomenal lookout points. Guest AccessVleidam Guest Farm has 3 self-catering cottages (Unit 1, 2 and 3). Unit 1 and Unit 2 both sleeps five people and Unit 3 can sleep up to 4 people. Thus the Guest Farm can take up to 14 people at once.
Unit 1 has two bedrooms, a living room with a flatscreen TV with DSTV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace inside of the kitchen, two bathrooms, a "stoep", a lawn and a swimming pool. The main room has a double bed with an en-suite bathroom, and the second room has three single beds. There are braai-facilities inside and outside the Unit.

Unit 3 is ideal for a honeymoon couple. In this cottage there are a spacious bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a bath, a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with a fireplace inside and an outside stoep area with braai facilities. If needed, two extra beds can be placed in the livingroom so that the cottage can take up to 4 people. Interaction with GuestsThe owners of Vleidam Guest Farm, John and Nikki Loxton, frequently interacts with the guests on the farm. Nikki bakes farm bread for the guests and John tells the guests about the history of the farm and the district. They also take the guests for rides on the farm and to see the farm animals with their "plaas bakkie". Nikki also shows the kids how to feed the little lambs and the children can collect the chicken's eggs in the morning. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is very safe. Everybody looks out for one and another. We have extremely nice neighbours that we have a very good relationship with. Other Things to NoteYou may also want to explore the nearby towns of Moorreesburg, Piketberg, Koringberg, Porteville, Langebaan, Velddrif, Riebeek-Kasteel or Misverstand dam where you can swim, ski, canoe or boat. These touristy towns have plenty of fabulous restaurants, farm-stalls as well as wine farms for you to enjoy, all less than 10 minutes away! Otherwise, enjoy an evening in around the “braai pit" on your personal front lawn where kids can play while watching the sunset over the farming meadows.
