The SpaceThis 1 bedroom suite is part of a large home but has a separate entry. It consists of living + bedroom + 1 full bathroom & washing machine. High ceilings accompany this colonial style home built in the 1950's. The furnishings are mostly original antiques from the Dutch and British eras.
The bedroom is quiet and spacious with air conditioning, 1 king size bed and 1 single bed. Comfortable mattresses and feather pillows. A Sofa bed is located in the living room for a 4th guest, if required.
The living room is spacious and comes with fridge, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities.

'The Colombo Racecourse' is a 5 minute walk down the street. There you will find an array of restaurants and cafes such as 'Tsing Tao' (an upscale Chinese restaurant with great culinary delights), 'Tea Breeze' (which is unbeatable for afternoon high tea), RNR (a restaurant and sports bar), McDonalds & KFC (if you just can't do without it), gift shops such as 'Lakpahana' and some branded clothes/Lingerie shops, such as 'Abstract' and 'Amante'.
If you feel like a quiet peaceful stroll, the historic 'Independence Memorial Hall', built to commemorate Sri Lanka's Independence from British Rule in 1948; is just around the corner. There you will find grounds where you can stroll casually over bridges past ducks gliding on a pond; or exercise amongst beautiful trees and fountains.
If you walk to the other side of the apartment you will find 'Flower Road' which hosts the majestic Prime Minister's office, along with an array of shops including 'Cotton Collection', 'Dillys', 'Leather Collection', and popular cafes and restaurants such as 'Commons Coffee House' and 'Peach Valley Chinese'.
Just before Flower road you will find 'Flower Drum Chinese' restaurant, which has been around forever so you know it's got to be good. 'Cafe on the 5th' which is a go to spot for decently priced local fare.
Close by is also an exquisite Indian restaurant called 'The Maharajah Palace'.

Interaction with GuestsYou will be greeted and shown into your apartment and handed the keys. You will have complete privacy but at any time you need assistance, there will always be someone in the main house who can be easily reached to help.
The NeighborhoodThis is Colombo's most exclusive neighborhood surrounded by embassies and popular restaurants. As such It is quiet and very safe.
The city’s biggest park is located here as well as several sports grounds and Colombo's best schools.
The centre piece of Cinnamon Gardens is the 50-acre University of Colombo (also called the University of Ceylon) campus, which originally opened as the Ceylon Medical School in 1870
