The SpaceThis wonderful one bedroom apartment is situated in an area called Årsta, very popular for its perfect location close to the city centre and close to green areas. If you are attending an event at Globen or Tele2 arena, this apartment is perfect. Both arenas are a 15-20 minute walk away, or a three minute bus ride. Communication to the city centre of Stockholm is easy accessible, via bus, metro, tram or commuter train. You will reach the very popular, hip and artsy neighborhood called Södermalm in 5-10 minutes and the central station in 15 minutes.
The apartment itself has a small and cozy bedroom with a king size bed, perfect for two people. For more the third and fourth guests, the accommodation is not as comfortable, but I offer a big queen size airbed and an extra mattress to put on the floor in the spacious living room. The sofa might also be an option for not so tall people, up to about 175 cm. Guest AccessThe apartment is about 45 square meters big, with a small bedroom, a spacious living room, a small bathroom with a bath tub and a small kitchen with a lot of working space, fridge and freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, etc.
The apartment also has a small balcony facing south, wonderful for breakfasts or dinners in the sunshine. The living room has a comfortable sofa, a flat screen tv and a dining table perfect for four. There is also a washing room in the building with two washing mashines and two dryers. The washing room is available upon booking, although this requires some foresight (one or two days). I also have an electric piano that you may use – as long as you are careful...
For those who like to get around on bikes, I also offer two bicycles. They may not be in perfect shape, but good enough to get you around in Stockholm (a very bike friendly city). You can reach Södermalm in 10 minutes on the bicycle.
I have no specific rules, other than that you should use common sense. Don't be too loud too late, don't break things, and so on. If you happen to break a glass or so I won't mind, but if more valuable things gets broken we have to come to some kind of arrangement. Interaction with GuestsI will be available for questions and try to make your stay as perfect as possible, but I will not be in the apartment during your stay. The NeighborhoodÅrsta is an amazing area, lots of green areas nearby and a short walk away from Årstaviken, with Södermalm on the other side of the water. The area is beautiful for walks or running. There are also a few restaurants in the area - Chinese, Greek, Kebab, Nepalese, Pizzerias, cafés, and so on. There are two supermarkets at Årsta Torg, open until 10pm. Getting AroundTo get to the city centre you have several options. The easiest one is to take the bus or the tram to Gullmarsplan, 5 minutes away, and then take the metro north (2 minutes to Medborgarplatsen, 8 minutes to T-centralen). As mentioned, you can also take the bikes to reach Södermalm in 10 minutes and T-centralen in about 25.
