The SpaceReimersholme offers closeness to the water, green areas, wild animals and city life at the same time!
You'll get fresh sheets, a towel, toilet paper, schampoo, soap and toothpaste.
There's a small supermarket on the island. Open between 9am-9pm.
I live in a small 3-room-apartment and you'll stay in the livingroom (a 20 m2 private separate room) with access to the balcony. Note! You cannot smoke on the balcony nor in the apartment.
In the summer I will sometimes pass through the room to have access to the balcony, but not when you're in it! Or, not without your permission.
Note! I have a limited internet connection. You can check your mail etc. and surf for information. You cannot stream films nor music, nor download anything. Please respect that.
Breakfast is very basic. It consists of coffee or tea, homemade bread (often made the night before, but not always), butter, cheese and marmalade.
I'm very flexible about check-in and check-out, but please tell me in your request about at what time you would like to check in and check out. (However, I understand that these times may sometimes change owing to happenings that are not in your power)
Please note all linens and towels are washed in eco-friendly unscented laundry detergent. I have no way of knowing which guests are sensitive to artificial scents, so I'd like to ensure no one is bothered. Guest AccessMy guests will share the bathroom and the kitchen with me (and occasionally my daughter OR boyfriend). You will most likely be left alone in the apartment at least one night, especially on weekends. Also, on weekdays I leave as early as 6.20 and my daughter at about 8am, so there's a lot of privacy.
Please let me know in advance if you would like to use the kitchen to cook. It's much smoother that way, we can take turns :-). There's a great gas stove and an electric oven.
No heavy or greasy cooking, please. Interaction with GuestsI like talking to my guests, if I have the time. I work full-time as a teacher, so I can be a little tired. Sometimes I cook for my guest, depends on my availability. Please, no offence, I'm not a night-person. I go to bed at 9 pm on weeknights. However, I don't expect my guests to go to bed that early though :-). And I'm super quiet in the morning. The NeighborhoodReimersholme is definitely considered to be in the city center. In fact, many fun events take place at Hornstull, my metro station. It takes 8 minutes to go to the Central Station from Hornstull by metro. But honestly, who wants to hang out in that area? At night it's a mostly a dead commercial neighbourhood. From my house you'll have a lovely waterfront walk to The Old town (40 min). There's a bus 2 min from my house that'll take you to Sofo in 20 minutes.
I love the fact that I have close access to jogging next to the water (bring running shoes!), swimming in the lake, skiing, going to the movies, nice restaurants and cafés while being in the city centre.
On the island Långholmen (which is one big park), 5 minutes away, you can rent canoes in the summer. There's also a beach. If you don't like swimming, running or canoeing, you can just sit on a rock by the water and watch the boats going by.
There's also an awesome second-hand store one subway stop away :-). Getting AroundThere are two buses (2 minutes away) on the island that'll take you to Hornstull metro station or around the city. To walk to the metro station takes about 12 minutes, 15 if you have a lot of luggage.
If you take a taxi, only use Taxi Stockholm. Other Things to NoteIf your departure is late your last day and you would like to leave the luggage in the apartment until the evening, it's usually not a problem. BUT, if you plan to cook a last meal, or hang out in the afternoon, please ask in advance. It might not suit my schedule that day.
