The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood (Solna, Råsunda) is 11 min from the central station with the underground. The area is nice and calm and a popular residential area. Close to the grocery store called Coop (2 min walking). Close to Solna centrum (1 stop with underground) where you can find bigger grocery stores (Ica Kvantum, Hemköp), drugstores, clothes stores, cafés and restaurants. Or even nicer, take the bus to Sundbyberg centrum (the bus 515 that leaves just across the street) to enjoy a more authentic small town neighborhood with all kinds of service and restaurants/bars.
Parks and lakes nearby:
Näckrosparken is just outside the apartment if you would like to take a short walk. Råstasjön, Lötsjön (sv. sjö, eng. lake), Tornparken, Hagaparken (sv. parken, eng. the park),
Other sights in the area:
Filmstaden (eng: cinema town) is built nearly a century ago and is just outside the underground stop. Ingmar Bergman made a lot of films here. They still have a very nice café (with old interior) who makes delicious waffles with cloudberry/raspberry jam and whipped cream on Fridays-Sundays. Sundbybergs Centrum; restaurants; bars and shopping, Solna Centrum; more shopping, the new arena city "Arenastaden" including Friends Arena and Mall of Scandinavia with 230 shops, big cinema with IMAX and lots of eating possibilities.
