The SpaceYour accommodation is a quiet and relaxing space, furnished and equipped especially for the needs of guests.
The spacious room for two is on the street side of the house, but rather quiet all the same: Most people can sleep there with an open window. It is equipped with a high quality hi-fi sound system to plug in your own mobile music device or connect with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. In your room there is also a big flat screen TV with 135 cable channels (i.a. 23 English spoken channels).
There is a second room which can be be equipped with a mattress etc. to provide another sleeping opportunity if you are three persons.
Our house, built in the 1920s, is not a real beauty from the outside, but if you like the charm of old houses, you will feel comfortable and be surprised about the ambiance inside the apartment, and the balcony facing the courtyard, the privacy and the perfect situation within the city in a lively neighbourhood. Guest AccessPersonally I live in another apartment one floor above. So virtually you can enjoy the whole apartment with main sleeping room, kitchen, balcony, working/relaxing room, working room and bathroom etc. for yourself, cook for yourself whenever you like, (some basic foods are provided). Interaction with GuestsPrivacy and comfort are key features of my guesthouse. Nevertheless I will be there if you need help, advice or a service, just knock one floor above on the otherside of the stairwell. The NeighborhoodBreisibeach is situated in Basel’s most lively and multicultural neighbourhood downtown, with many coffee stalls, bars, clubs and stores of all kind, ideal to explore the inner city by foot, just 100 meters away from the Rhine, the most popular chilling, party, barbecue and – in the warm seasons: swimming area. Your way will often lead directly to the Rhine (100 meters) with its beautiful promenade and sunset view. Getting AroundAll the destinations in the inner city are easy to reach by foot, Basel airport in 20 to 30 minutes by public transport, Basel fair and exhibition area in 10 min. on foot or less by public transport, both railway stations in 4 min. on foot plus 10 min. by bus. Since this is an official b&b, there is a tax for guests of the city of Basel included in the price. So you will get a mobility ticket for the public transport in the city of Basel and its environs during your stay, including the way from the airport or train station to Breisibeach at the arrival day. Bus and tram (streetcar) stations are just 2 to 4 minutes away, a bike rental as well. Other Things to NoteYour accommodation is a quiet and relaxing space, furnished and equipped especially for the needs of guests, tourists and business travellers.
Because there are wonderful coffee bars just around the corner, most guests don’t want breakfast at all. I do not prepare a breakfast table with everything … But you can prepare a simple breakfast for yourself: with tea or coffee/cappuccino (simple Italian espresso machine or French press, freshly bake croissants or bread, butter, marmalade and honey. If you prefer something else or more, you will find everything in one of the shops in our street.
Washing clothes is not allowed for guests, but can be done by me if needed for a fee.
