The NeighborhoodWe are directly located around the corner from the Geneva International School and on the tram 12 which in 6 minutes will bring you directly to the central shopping and dining district of Geneva. We have many suggestions for trendy restaurants and bars as well as kid friendly ideas and day trips. We are also less than a ten minute walk from the lake. If you are investigating the international school, planning to move to Geneva or are looking for great access to party and life, this is the right place. We hope to offer a great value for money. The neighbourhood is just a 6 minute tram ride (5 stops) away from the hip and happening Eaux Vives neighbourhood where the city is bustling. Around the corner from the house, you will find a friendly local cafe that serves a delicious lunch and dinner. Around the corner from that you will find a bakery, pharmacy and convenience store to grab your food basics but the real super market is 3 minutes by tram at the Villareuse stop on tram 12. Getting AroundWe are lucky to be very near the lake (just a 10 min walk) and the main shopping areas downtown in Eaux Vive neighbourhood (20 min direct walk down the route de chene) and the Natural History Museum (just 3 stops villareuse or a 15 min walk). If you want to visit the iconic Jet D'eau you can expect a 25 min walk but easily arrive there in 10 minutes if you take a direct 12 tram to the terrassier stop and walk toward the lake). The tram 12 is the best of the entire city in my option and will take you literally everywhere you want to be from the French border to Carrouge! if you buy a day pass for 8chf, you can hop on and off as you wish. Other Things to NotePlease be mindful of our artwork and antiques. We have lived all over the world and our collection of objects and books are at your disposal to enjoy but please respect that they are irreplaceable to us and hold fond memories of our travels. We have children and for us, the house is safe but of course you must use your own discretion. There is an older couple that lives below us so we try to be respectful of them after 8pm and before 8am.
