The SpaceWe have 5 fully furnished bedrooms with king size beds, each with en suite. Maximum 2 adults and 1 child per room. A large downstairs open area for family, a separate Sitting room with TV and a fully equipped kitchen. Outdoors in front is a large tiled patio where we spend most of our time. The rear has another large covered tiled area where Eiam does her 'Thai' cooking. We have a large pond out the back full of fish waiting to be caght. The property area is three acres. Plenty of room to play.
Our home provides a restful and convenient stop over point on the way from Bangkok to places north - Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Laos, etc. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all areas of the home and can fish the pond if the desire takes them. Interaction with GuestsEiam is a qualified chef and previous manager of three Melbourne Thai restaurants and will be happy to pass on some of her Thai cooking knowledge. A 4 wheel drive Toyota Fortuna (8 seater) is available for hire or Peter can drive you where you want. We can also arrange to pick you up from the Bangkok airport. The NeighborhoodTha Phon is situated between two mountain ranges with numerous water falls and national parks. All within easy reach.
Phetchabun city is only 17 km away and reachable by 'Thai' taxi for 20BHT (or by Peter's taxi service). Plenty of night life and restaurants to be had.
Our home is set on the fringe of the village, 5 minutes from the market. It borders onto farmlands which produce rice, tobacco, corn, garlic, bananas, etc. They will be grateful for you to get in there and give a hand if you like. Among many other things the area is famous among Thais for the production of Sweet Tamarin (Makhaam Wan). Getting AroundThere is a air conditioned bus that comes to Tha Phon on the hour from Bangkok. Other Things to NoteEiam was born in Tha Phon so has a detailed knolwledge of the area and it's customs. Peter is a relative late comer of 20 years in the area but is catching up (albeit slowly).
