The SpaceI'm ok with direct bookings for shorter stay bookings (max 10 days), but otherwise please message me first.
Room is available for last minute bookings. Best to do a direct booking. Or send me a request (I might take up 1 hour to respond, but if it's not booked when you'd do this, 95% you'd get the room).
I usually start cleaning at the linnen from the rooms first thing after people checked out (and cleaning rooms), but it takes a little time for it to be ready and dry off course, and for me to have made the bed. I can get you a bed to sleep in even late in the evening, if you use direct booking. I also try to see pre-requests soon, but it's not always possible to see them very quickly. As far as checking in, we need to communicate about that a little bit, but I don't have pre-set times, you can drop of your luggage in afternoons also most days, maybe in mornings.
The room includes two comfy bed with top mattresses. On a regular basis I'm letting a professional company deep cleaning the mattresses. The room also has a desk/chair, a build in closet (can be locked) and drawers. The room can be locked.
A big part of the house has recently been renovated (stairs, hallway upstairs, doors and more).
There is WiFi internet available, but also wired internet is possible. Guest AccessFree to use
* The kitchen (with couch)
Rent is not including food, etc.. If you need sometime, you're free to ask for it though. However I might want a small contribution to the costs.

You're free what's in my kitchen, including some places to store food.
Tidy up after use (this goes for all rooms). Please make sure to also mind the other house rules.

I offer some shampoo. Ask me to show you which one if I forgot to tell you during the tour ;)
* Spare kitchen for recycling
Private rooms and therefor optional:
- Spare kitchen aka Laundry area; recycling also happen here. I also use this room to store some things so it's not clutter free.
Laundry may be done for a small contribution.
- The living room
If you do want to watch a little tv or eat at the dinning table, you're free to ask me. Just keep in mind that this is my private spare, so ask me for permission. I also might be up for watching a film here together.
- Back garden.
You may use this for hanging clothes outside after you washed them. You'll get here by walking through the living room. It could happen though that I'm gone and that I've locked the living room, so please let me know in advanced when you'd like to wash a load.
Also ask if you want to sit outside to enjoy the sun. Interaction with GuestsI like a bit of interaction with guests if I'm not too busy. But if you prefer not, then that won't be a problem either. The NeighborhoodBefore I will talk about what you can find in my neighborhood, first let me answer a frequent asked question related to location:
Is my place close to the centrum of Amsterdam? No because I live in Utrecht, which is another town. It's like Amsterdam but smaller, but it's not Amsterdam. It takes 20-25 minutes by train from CS Utrecht to CS Amsterdam. From my house to Utrecht Central will take around 15 minutes. By the way there is also a direct bus to the Uithof. That should also take about 15 minutes.
I will also give a brief list of first and last busses. For exact information, you can use (URL HIDDEN) after you booked. It has an option to see it in English. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps would also do the trick.
To Centrum - Week days - around 6am to 1am(URL HIDDEN)Saturday - around 7am to 1a(URL HIDDEN)Sunday - around 8am to 1am
Busses go every 15 minutes per bus line. A bit before August this will become 6x per hour.
To Uithof - Week days - around 6am to 7pm
Direct busses go every 30 minutes during summer. A bit before August this will become 4x per hour.
(going through centrum, you can reach the Uithof at other times)
This bus will take you to the town Nieuwegein might you get in on the other side.
Nearby are plenty of stores. Closest by is an Albert Heijn, but there's also a Lidl, Hoogvliet and Plus supermarket nearby. If you want a quick dinner: there are snack bars not far too away (Turkish or normal ones), a chinese restaurant and a few other restaurants/dining houses. Also you can order some food online.
Almost next to the house is a nice small park where you can chill. Almost connected to that park is another (big) park.
The center has many nice bars and places to go out; for example Stairway to heaven (rock café), café België (lots of beers) and Tivoli. The latter also has a setting about 5 minutes by bike from the house.
Every Saturday there's a free tours under the dom tower. I can totally recommend that.
A nice thing to do around here is kayaking. It's nice to do that in the canals of Utrecht or nearby Utrecht. My favorite place is Loosdrecht which has nice islands you can chill on.
I can also recommend other places you could go to, wood area's, castles and pancake houses. I have made a list of this that I printed on paper for guests along with other information. Getting AroundParking in the street is free of charge and usual you can find a spot very nearby the house.
It's about 15 minutes from downtown Utrecht (bus, bike and car).
Uithof is about 20-25 minutes by bike and 15 by bus.
(the centrum of) Amsterdam is about 20-25 minutes by Intercity train from centrum.
Public transportation is regular.
For instance for one bus line from/to centrum, during the summer period: 4x per hour Monday to Saturday and they leave around 06:00 to 00:30 (during week days). At Sunday they go 2x per hour around 08:00 to 00:30.
Trains go around 6x per hour. On top of that there are night trains every hour. Other Things to NoteLast minute bookings are usually ok!
I have some bikes that you may borrow from me for a small contribution and a deposit. Also for a small contribution, you may use the laundry room.
I'm flexible regarding check-in time; contact me with when you'd like to check in. Usually I can make sure that I'm home. Please check out before or at noon. Feel free to wait in the kitchen.
I'm also fine with last minute bookings, but I might not be able to have the room ready when I haven't had enough hours to prepare the room. So if you don't mind waiting a little bit, it's usually fine for me.
