This accommodation is perfect for everyone from all walks of life from visitors, business consultants, visiting friends and relatives. Each villa features a separate bedroom with a private patio, fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave. Lounge area with Sky TV & Radio Player. Dining area has its own private patio. Separate bathroom with large walk-in shower, separate toilet with cedar free flow louvers, private laundry facilities with washing machine & dryer, solar powered electricity, wireless internet free if you bring your own laptop, private phone with international access. Local calls are free, international calls are at your own cost. Villa comes with a private car. There is a private pick up at the airport for all guests. Melanie, Andy and their two girls live in the main house which is set further back on the same block of land. Getting AroundIt takes approximately 10 minutes to walk from Oceansong House to the centre of Neiafu. Some restaurants are closer. Local taxis are readily available for any transport needs. Interaction with GuestsI work part time in Tongatapu so might miss you, if so, Salesi will be your point of contact. I handle the online bookings. Salesi works a lot you might not see him too much, but when possible always enjoy a drink or coffee and if youʻre lucky and catch him on a weekend, a bowl of kava. If you like autonomy no worries we respect space and can help as much or little as you need. If you need help with airport taxi, just ask, Salesi's uncle runs a taxi. The NeighborhoodOn calm days Vava'u harbor looks like glass; Tongans have called it "Lolo" or oil which comes from how smooth it appears from our hillside neighbourhood♡ Neiafu has got an old world port city vibe that doesn't quite fit in the 21st century being in a slow state of change. Restaurants and bars ran by eccentric expats make Neiafu a charmed little world.           A delightful and comfortable, get-away holiday home - in a private location. Boat transfers organised for guests from Neiafu to Hunga Island (this is an additional cost to guest). Set in a beautiful, safe, clear water lagoon, One'atea home has mosquito screens on opening windows and doors. All amenities are provided, including pontoon boat, optimist, sailing and rowing dinghy, 2 kayaks, snorkle/fishing gear, buoyancy aides, books, games, music, VHF radio, mobile phone, safe for valuables, gas barbeque, first aid kit, all linen, soaps, toiletries, and well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer. Comfortable new beds and new toilet and basin 2013. Hot water shower. Internet connection is also available at 'One'atea. This place is a fisherman's paradise. Hunga and the surrounding Vava'u area offers a dynamic mix of fishing options. fishing techniques and an array of different species to target. Inside the lagoon is great for lure fishing, including soft plastics, slow trolled bibbed lures, spinning lures and probably any other lure you try. There are many spots as yet unexplored for rock fishing. Turtles can often be seen bobbing cheekily in the water amongst schools of fish in front of our house. Vava?u attracts many humpback whales between June and November each year - as they head from Antarctica to the warm waters of Vava'u because of its deep water and its? geographical location. Perfect for kayaking, snorkling/diving. Explore the sheltered lagoon by kayak, optimist or Pep'e (3.8M aluminium coastal pontoon boat with 2 stroke 15hp engine, 25 litre tank, rod holders, portable VHF and anchor), and venture out to visit some of the neighbouring islands. Fish off the beach or take the boat out to catch a variety of fish for your dinner. Visit the local village or try local foods and crafts Use of Pep'e our pontoon boat with 15 HP motor is included free of charge, guests pay for petrol or you can book a day fishing or snorkling upon request Special conditions: Transfers will be organised from Neiafu T$250 per trip for 2 T$50 per exta person - the Island is minutes from Neiafu. 'One'atea can provide you (at no cost) with local hosts who will contact or visit you daily, to ensure you are having a wonderful stay. They will also be able to provide you with helpful local advice, organise provisions for the house, an umu/village visit, fishing and snorkling trips if desired and other cultural assistance.
