Stonegate Retreat is a stunning 2 bed/2 bath apartment on the top (1st) floor of a small and exclusive residential building.
We are a two minute stroll from York Minster, Bettys Café, Stonegate's shops, bars and restaurants and a ten minute walk from York train and bus station.
The spacious lounge has comfortable seating for 5, a double sofabed and a corner window complete with swivel chair providing fabulous Minster views.
There are double doors opening onto a small balcony also with Minster views, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the sun or a glass of wine!
There is a 40 inch LED Smart TV with complimentary Internet access and wireless keyboard, Blu Ray player and an IPod docking station/radio. Free WiFi is provided.
The dining area provides seating for 5 and the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, oven/hob/microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere and coffee maker.
A steam iron and ironing board is stored in the hall cupboard if needed and all standard cleaning products are supplied.
A complimentary bottle of Prosecco and tea/coffee/sugar/milk is provided.
We are happy to organise celebratory champagne, cakes, flowers, chocolates etc, any of which can be supplied at cost – please just ask!
The large master bedroom has a king size bed with crisp white bed linen, ample storage, dressing table, full length mirrors and a hair dryer. There are double doors to a Juliette balcony.
The ensuite shower room is equipped with heated towel rail, magnifying mirror, supersoft Egyptian cotton bath sheets and locally sourced organic toiletries from the Yorkshire Soap Company.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed with crisp white bed linen, ample storage, full length mirror and hair dryer.
There are double doors leading to a balcony with seating for 2 plus table – a real suntrap in the afternoon and evening and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day's sightseeing!

Please advise us when booking if you require parking. We provide one “City of York" parking permit valid in most city centre car parks throughout your stay. The closest car parks to the apartment are Bootham Row, Marygate and Esplanade. Each of these car parks is a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment along riverside paths, the museum gardens or through historic streets! Other Things to NoteFor the comfort of all of our guests, the apartment, balconies, indoor and outdoor communal areas are all strictly non-smoking.
A lift (elevator) is available at street level up to the piazza level. The apartment is located on the 1st (top) floor of the building and is accessed by a short flight of stairs from the piazza level.
