The SpaceThe dorm room has 2 single beds, and one double bed available.
THE PRICE IS PER PERSON, or you can rent the entire room, for 4 people, for a special price of $40.
Downstairs hosts a large but cozy kitchen and dining room as well as a lotus-themed living room with lots of seating. Upstairs has a half-sun, half-shade azotea-courtyard which I call the Sultan's lounge.
There are two other rooms in the house for rent (see Frida Kahlo suite and Breezy & Sunny homestay ads). The home has a lot more space and privacy than most in Uruguay. And if you need an extra single bed or mattress, we might be able to find space.
I like cooking vegetarian and gluten-free food so the kitchen is well-stocked and I prefer that you don't cook a lot of meat. I also do a lot of arts and crafts so the house is perfect for creative-types!
There are two bathrooms, one large bathroom upstairs shared between the two rooms, a half-bathroom downstairs and the Frida Kahlo room has a private full bathroom. Guest AccessYou have complete access to the all of the spaces except the other bedrooms and the washing machine. If you need something washed, I would be willing to do it for you, and you can hang it up. Interaction with GuestsI love the city of Minas and can give you lots of great recommendations, including local towns-people to meet! There are also extensive guide books and maps available for guests The NeighborhoodThis town dates all the way back to the late 1700s. so is a historical pleasure to wander around. Borrow one of Martita's colourful bicycles! Getting AroundMinas is located 2 hours by bus from Montevideo. The bus ride is comfortable, has wifi, bathroom, beautiful scenery and only costs 218 pesos. The beaches of Punta del Este are 45 minutes from Minas. The river Santa Lucia, and its lovely beaches, is 12 km away. Other Things to Notethis is a quiet little town, but i love it here. a nice mix of all kinds of folks. i dont speak spanish, so that impacts the way i live here. It isnt necessary, as long as you are willing to write out in Spanish, draw or pantomime what you want, as very few people in this part of the country speak English. - the people are very helpful, if they understand what you need, they will bend over backwards to try to get it for you. This area has many great places to hike, and this small town has 4 museums. Nearby are waterfalls, lakes, and other natural places to visit. I am a pretty good tourguide, if you need ideas of things to do here. Mostly, you ll get to see what the countryside of uruguay, the non city, non beaches , is like. And it is BEAUTIFUL.
