The SpaceSierra Ballena consists of 3 buildings in strip, arranged parallel to the scenic route, down the ravine, separated by common patios. Once inside the complex, the department 5 is located on the second strip, the intermediate, which is lowered by ramp vehicular or pedestrian staircase. Once in the courtyard of the strip 2, we find the garages. The first unit of this strip, on the corner oriented towards the sea, is the unit 5, identified in the fitting of your wooden gate as U5.
It is intermediate between an apartment and a house; is accessed by a private courtyard, with half covered areas and open areas with barbecue; from there you enter the apartment, and once inside, open aluminum frames, allowing integrate and interior courtyard, so you can come and go freely, like the grill with integrated kitchen, moving the windows on the counter.
the apartment consists of two levels, with public use in the access level (livingroom, dining room, kitchen, toilet, patios) and the private areas on the lower level, descending stairs to bedrooms (one suite and two bedrooms with a bathroom )
The most important thing for us is what the department contemplates their views, wonderful and changing environment, at different times of day, allowing one to be part of the landscape. The equipment is basic and nothing naive, towards achieving that relationship.
WE SPECIALLY RECOMENDED TO RENT A CAR, BECAUSE PUNTA DEL ESTE IN GENERAL, AND PUNTA BALLENA IN PARTICULAR REQUIRES A CAR FOR MOBILITY AND ENJOY.
Interaction with Guestsif you book the apartment, you will get a guide with a series of explanations and information to handle comfortably in the department and in the neighborhood! The NeighborhoodThe Place: It's a no brainer to mention the beauty of La Ballena, in his particular natural enclave. Punta Ballena is the last foothills of the Massif de Brasilia at its southern end, before admission to the sea; its rocky condition, its relation to the vastness of the landscape 360, your complete cycle of rising and setting sun, the grandeur of the landscape in its gigantic dimension, storms, and starry nights, constitute undoubtedly the place with a particular energy. Almost daily, paragliders and hang gliders fly over the building, and dozens of fishermen spend long hours waiting for the fruits of the sea. Those who walk looking shrillness that have nothing to do with the above, they are in the wrong place. Getting AroundThe Beach:
To go down by foot to Las Grutas beach , we like to go out for access to the panoramic, walking a hundred yards toward the tip over the edge of the road, then cross the canyon cross country down the clearing, following a subtle traces that are leading to a carved in stone stair, that after about 40 steep steps, leaves us beside the abandoned hostel, at a side of the caves. There, among the rocks, runs a popular disco at 80s, which left some traces in the cave in the rocks. Ideal for fishing enthusiasts (corvina between November and May place; brótola across whale in winter); on the other hand, extends a quiet beach, family and quiet with lifeguard service. You can also drive down by road to the hinterland Ballena, or from the road at the entrance of the village of Las Grutas, with its particular charm of tranquility. In summer the sun sets over La Ballena, between 9 and 10 pm.

Also recommend walking by in the opposite direction panoramic 150 meters down to Portezuelo, to the Balleneros Club, in a very pleasant walk, which can be finished off in the club bar with good food day and night. Walk or bike, La Ballena, it can become an addictive activity that never repeats itself, and allows new walking increasingly corners.

Another option is a tour of Route 12, which connects with the 10th interbalnearia 9, parallel to east about 15km inland, on a magnificent journey between La Ballena and the lake; this route will surely cross it again a little way farther destinations such as Las Vertientes, Cumbres de la Ballena, Lapataia, Pueblo Eden, San Carlos, or as more distant but equally tempting Jose Ignacio y Pueblo Garzón, and in the limit expeditionary than for the more adventurous. Besides the obvious supply of sea Punta del Este offers the option for the rural interior landscapes are highly recommended as an ideal complement.
