With a peaceful setting above the lovely seaside town of Homer, Alaska, the Enchanted View Inn offers spacious, clean, private, quiet, and comfortable accommodations in a beautiful handcrafted log home – coupled with the warmest of Alaska hospitality -- so that you can fully enjoy your visit to our delightful community along the shores of Kachemak Bay!
We offer a spacious downstairs suite (900 s.f), encompassing the entire lower area of our home, complete with a private entrance and the following amenities: Large and private bedroom, with queen-sized bed, and expansive views of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai Mountains, and Grewingk Glacier; private bathroom (with a shower); continental breakfast (breads & baked goods, fresh fruit, juice, cereal, coffee/tea/hot cocoa) in your suite; living room with TV, VCR/DVD player; reading and work area looking out onto our beautiful gardens, and across the Bay; & use of a refrigerator & WiFi Internet.
Well-behaved pets are welcome!
During 2016-2017, we are offering an additional 32% discount below our normal rates of $169/night!
For our 2017 season, the rate is $115.35 per night (+ tax = $124.00/nt).

Guest AccessIn addition to your downstairs suite, our guests have access to the large deck on the main floor of our home, which has a grand view of the Bay/mountains/glaciers, an outdoor dining table w/ chairs, and lovely flowers. Please stroll around our garden to view our blooms too! Interaction with GuestsWe fully respect our guests' wishes regarding privacy -- and we leave it up to you regarding how much you'd like to interact with us :)
We live upstairs above your suite, and do our best to be quiet & unobtrusive during your stay :) The NeighborhoodOur Inn is located atop a bluff in a very scenic, forested, quiet, and peaceful residential neighborhood consisting of a few homes tucked among the trees (well separated & screened by trees for plenty of privacy). We are situated 10-15 minutes by vehicle from the town center, where you'll find excellent visitor attractions, amenities, and facilities (museums, art galleries, tasty eateries, etc.). The Wynn Nature Center, with its nice strolling paths, hiking trails, & environmental education facilities, is found just 5 minutes from our place; the Ohlson Mountain Ski Area (15 minutes away east on Skyline Drive) offers both Alpine (tow rope) and Nordic (with excellent groomed trails catering to skiiers of all abilities) winter recreational venues too. The world famous Homer Spit has many shops + dining spots, and is the jumping off point where all manner of outdoor recreational activities on Kachemak Bay & Cook Inlet/the adjacent Kachemak State Park (e.g. sea kayaking, wilderness hiking/camping, ocean fishing, etc.), plus visits to the charming hamlets of Halibut Cove & Seldovia (across the Bay, reached by boat), begin. Lots to see & do in Homer By The Sea! Getting AroundUnfortunately, public transportation is still not available in Homer... Guests without vehicles can use a taxi to visit downtown, see the Homer Spit, etc... Fares are approximately $25-30 each way. (Rental vehicles are available from several vendors as well). Bicycles can be rented in town to ride on our nice paved pathways, which include a lengthy route along the Homer Spit (where you can view nice scenery, marine birds and wildlife, and other features).
