The SpaceLakefront Landing is your private entrance 1,000+ sqft Mother-in-Law apartment. The spacious 3-room place is yours, not shared! Complete with an equipped kitchenette & dining area, master bedroom (queen & twin bed), and two other private rooms which sleep four more (URL HIDDEN) real beds (full & two twins)! This is great for the larger traveling group or good for just a couple. Come and go as you please. AND NO CLEANING FEE! (Pak 'n' Play crib available as well). The kitchenette does NOT have a cooktop stove. It does offer a microwave, toaster oven, electric fry pan, crock pot, & waffle press. There is also an outdoor charcoal grill available. The lakefront property is located in the heart of Alaska's scenic Mat-Su Valley, 1 mile off the Parks Hwy. Enjoy the property by taking a paddle boat ride around the lake, followed by outdoor cooking in the picnic area and an evening campfire. The scenery cannot be more beautiful! Use your private apartment as a base for your day trips to various points of interest in this region which include: * Guided fishing, kayak, jet boat, or bike trips. * Glacier viewing * Alaska Railroad scenic day trips into the back country * Touring the musk ox and reindeer farm. * Self-guided tours of historic Independence Gold Mine & Gold Cord Hiking trail * Flight seeing over mountains and glaciers. Wasilla is home to the "Last Great Race", the Iditarod sled dog race to Nome. Visit the headquarters or come for the start of the race in March. Local fun! The owners have lived in Alaska for more than 30 years, teaching public school in Alaska's rural communities. They continue avid interests in aviation, hunting, fishing, and skiing.       The SpaceWe live in a house on land that's backed up to 60 acres! For a real Alaskan experience, our house is the place to be! We have a private room available in our 3 bedroom 1.5 bath house! We are surrounded by trees and live across the street from a beautiful lake. 4 miles from the nearest town, so it's truly an Alaskan retreat! Guest AccessYou'll have a private bedroom with a queen size bed, and a bathroom with a shower/tub! Your room has its own heat settings, a closet for your stuff, and if you need any special accommodations, we'd be more than happy to help! Moose love to hang out in our back yard, and we're across the street from a beautiful lake! With the midnight sun up 24/7, you can enjoy it any time! You can have a fire in the back yard and it's even legal to set off fireworks in Houston! We have a TV but no internet or cable. We have a bunch of DVDs you're welcome to use! Interaction with GuestsWe will be living at the house while you are there, but we are normally out of the house a lot! If you'd like to have a bonfire with us, let us know! Otherwise, you're welcome to have a bonfire on your own! :) Getting AroundThere is no public transit, we highly recommend renting a car while you're here in Alaska! Other Things to NoteWe have two dogs (and they're mostly driving around with us) and two cats, but they will not have access to your room.

Our rustic funky dry cabin is off the grid: NO SHOWER, we do have a lake to cool off in. Outhouse ( we call it Slum dog). Cooler provided no refridgerator, simple kitchen with stove, pots, pans, plates, glasses and unlimited pancake mix! You will need to bring in your own water. Its a cabin dust and dirt happen. If you need Hot showers, WIFI, or housekeeping we suggest you stay at the Princess Lodge,or Captain Cook. We have to offer you a truly unique AK experience that is safe and comfortable but no luxuries; rugged, rustic, simple and easy. Easy like Sunday morning. Valley Cabin is a great get away for a few days or stopover as you travel the parks highway to or from Denali. A nice break from camping or shelter when the weather turns. Valley Cabin is a easy access base to explore Matsu valley. Did we mention? No Television, or Wifi but LTE cell reception. Listen to the loon song, enjoy; birding, paddling, reading, and relaxation. Do not be alarmed or afraid our neighbors are kind, friendly, and the lake is a safe and secure communtiy. With a open mind you may just get invited to a BBQ, or get to take a ride in a monster truck. Birding, paddling, easy access to matsu valley. Eclectic neighborhood with a few other houses on lake. Do keep in mind you are in the valley so anything and any adventure can happen!Be on the look out for Monster Trucks, Mud Buggies, and Sarah Palin.Close to the birds of prey rehabilitation center look up AKwildbirds for showings and open house opportunities. Getting AroundNo public transportation: rental car required.. The best car rental in the state is Uhaul 19.95$ a day for a small truck or van.. We have a queen bed in one of the bedrooms and a double and twin in the second bedroom. The apartment has everything you need for a short -- or an extended-- stay, including a washer and dryer. Guest AccessEat your breakfast outdoors at the picnic table, or indoors with a view of the lake and gardens. Depending upon when you visit, fresh garden vegetables may be available. We have 2 bicycles for your use. We also have a canoe, paddle boat, and 2 kayaks you may use upon approval. The NeighborhoodWe live in a very quiet neighborhood. The main noises you hear will be loons, and float planes taking off and landing on the lake occasionally. Although we feel secluded, we're only half a mile from the Parks Highway, and 5 minutes from Wasilla. There are restaurants and grocery stores from 2 - 7 miles from here. A good selection of natural foods and organic produce is available in Wasilla, just 5 miles away. Getting AroundYou'll need a car to explore the area. Other Things to NoteThis is a great place to stay while taking day trips. Hatcher Pass is only 45 minutes from here and provides endless hiking trails. Flight tours from Talkeetna, only 90 minutes from here, can take you to Denali. The Matanuska Glacier is spectacular, just 90 minutes in a different direction. You can walk on the glacier, or take a white water rafting trip on the river. A zipline is also available near-by. If you want to explore Anchorage, it's just an hour's drive. The Musk Ox Farm and Reindeer Farm are other places of interest nearby, in the Palmer area. Summers in Alaska are spectacular, and our long summer daylight allows you to enjoy it even more!

Rent one or both for a larger group. The Guest Suite is 260 square feet with luxury queen mattress, dresser, closet, and ensuite bathroom with travertine floors and glass shower. With the room rental, you will have access to our spacious kitchen, dining room, living room, back deck (with grill), and laundry room. Our house is located five minutes from downtown Wasilla, a quick drive to many outdoor activities. A pack-and-play is available upon request. Children under 2 are free of charge.                             The SpaceThe Loft Guest Suite is exclusively located on the house's top floor and is equipped with a desk and chair, a bookcase (that also serves as a coffee and teapot stand), cable TV, and nature views. As with all rooms, it has its own door key for security. Please note that guests may be present on the lower main living and dining areas at different times of the day and evening to enjoy the common area TV, have breakfast or make use of the kitchen and teapot. Your host will also start breakfast preparations as early as 7:00 am. We strive to maintain the maximum amount of quietness for our Loft guests until at least 7 am but voices may sometimes be heard during breakfast in the dining area. A Continental style breakfast is available daily at no charge upon request. Guests who want to have an A-la-Carte breakfast the next morning for a small fee may request it the previous night. Let us know about special diets or restricted foods such as gluten-free, vegan, lactose-free etc. A breakfast brown bag can also be prepared for anyone needing to leave before 7 am. Loft guests are welcome to use the kitchen after breakfast hours to prepare meals or warm up food and drinks in the microwave. We appreciate when our guests who use the facilities also clean up their utensils, stove, appliances, or any dishware they used after breakfast hours. Use of dishwasher may or may not be available, so be prepared to wash your dishes manually if you choose to make use of the kitchen. Thank you! Guest AccessHOUSE ACCESS: A unique code number will be sent to confirmed guests prior to arrival and check-in. This number is required for entry into the house in order to get access to the loft . Guests in both the Loft suite and the Single Occupancy room have access to the main areas of the house: living room, kitchen, dining area, central bathroom, and laundry room. All guests have free access to the deck and picnic table area during summer months. Please use caution when using stairs up to the main side door during winter months and freezing weather. LAUNDRY ROOM: All guests must request$2 fee for use of washer and $2 fee for use of dryer which includes wash/dry supplies. A fair-sized neighborhood grocery store, Three Bears, is only 5 minutes away. . Getting AroundThis home is not easily accessible by public transportation; a car is essential especially in winter months. If you need a ride due to unexpected circumstances, send Isabelle a note and she may be able to help out. Other Things to Note1. There is a resident and friendly kitty in the house. The NeighborhoodWe are right outside of Wasilla core area, which makes it close to stores, yet we are on a lake and far enough away to give a fantastic Alaskan experience. Because of the lake and woodsy area, the view is spectacular year round. We can see a little of the mountains also. In the summer feel free to use out canoe to enjoy the scenery or go fishing during your stay. We have beach towels, and a large dock with lounge chairs, and a floating dock. A small donation is appreciated for the use of our canoe, life jackets, and floating dock. Fall brings our breath taking golden leaves. The lake view is absolutely gorgeous. It is also a very popular time to fish on the lake and go sight seeing while visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. Winter brings the Iditarod and the Ice Classics in Fairbanks. Ice fishing is very popular - just ten feet from our dock is the best spot on the lake. Getting AroundTrain station, cars rentals, boat rentals in nearby Wasilla center. Ask your host for a menu the night before. Guest AccessThe keyless programmable lock provides private access 24/7 to your suite. Each guest is provided a unique one-time code during their stay. Guests are sent the code number after booking and one day prior to their arrival. The number is de-activated on the day of your departure. Interaction with GuestsOur goal is to ensure each guest a comfortable stay. Although this suite is accessible 24/7, we request that all our guests check in and arrive on their first day no later than 10 pm in winter (or 11 pm in summer). Arrivals after these hours shall incur a $25 late arrival fee payable on arrival to the host. This is to insure all our guest’s security. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding! The Laundry room is available to our guests during the day only and is accessible from the upstairs door of the main house, so guests must communicate and set a time to do laundry with host since the code downstairs does not work upstairs. Guests having their own detergent may wash clothes free of charge, or may pay a small fee for detergent and supplies. The NeighborhoodOur home is located outside of the city limits of Wasilla in a small and peaceful neighborhood. The road from the main street is not paved and is a mostly gravel. We are about 7 miles (3 km) from Wasilla center. A fairly large warehouse type grocery store named Three Bears is about 5 minutes by car and sells food, liquor, sporting goods, and has a pharmacy. Take a leisure 15 minute drive into downtown Wasilla to shopping centers and stores like Starbucks, Target, restaurants, post office and gas stations, local museums and more. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation around or to our area. We are about 52 miles (24 km) from Ted Stevens Airport in Anchorage. Once you enter into Wasilla, it takes about 15 minutes on a weekday to travel to our property from the Parks highway or Palmer-Wasilla highway. Other Things to NoteParking: Please drive up the drive and park your car in front of the white door. Special Instructions: This suite has some particular items that require instructions for operating, such as the heater, shower faucet, jet tub, toilet, and light switches. There is a 3 page list of information & instructions kept in the kitchen which are a MUST READ for guests wanting to stay in this suite. Your host will review this list on arrival as well.

                            The SpaceThe Great Lakes room is located on the second floor and faces the lake with beautiful views and sunsets. Queen captain bed has 4 dresser drawers and feather mattress. Cozy chair and TV provide private setting. Shared "Jack & Jill" bath with the Alaska room next door. Guest AccessFamily room on second floor has picture window facing the lake, 65" TV and comfortable seating. Larger groups can add an air mattress to this room if necessary. Two other bedrooms avail. Main floor living room has fireplace, dining area, full kitchen and laundry facilities. Covered porch off living room faces the lake provides a delightful setting for morning coffee! Two kayaks, a canoe and paddle boat are available for guest use. Entire home is available for use except owners bedroom and garage. Breakfast served at indoor dining area. Summer months (weather permitting) option of lakeside porch or on the lawn under umbrella, Interaction with GuestsWe are available to assist with your travel plans, step-on guide service or to simply provide you a peaceful setting to relax for a weekend or week! We also own Northern Experience Tours specializing in the Iditarod. A full hot breakfast is served. The NeighborhoodOur home is in a quiet neighborhood of lake/water enthusiasts! We often see beaver, loons and other water fowl on the lake. Moose meander by quite frequently with occasional sightings of other wildlife too! Getting AroundWe are 5 miles from Big Lake and 20 miles from Wasilla. Big Lake is a friendly community with parks, public access to the lake, public library, grocery store, gas station, restaurants, post office and more. Other Things to NotePaxson & McKinley are our Siberian Huskies. We do not have any other pets. You are welcome to bring your own beverages.

                            The SpaceMountain Vista House is your 3-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath, 1750 square foot Alaska vacation retreat. The entire house is yours to use for your stay, and you will enjoy complete privacy. Enjoy panoramic views from throughout this unique home, bright and airy with large picture windows to enjoy the view and let lots of light in. The master bedroom is equipped with a comfortable queen bed with a high-end BeautyRest mattress, as well as a private bath. Bedroom #2 is also equipped with a high-end BeautyRest queen bed, and bedroom #3 is equipped with two twin beds with quality mattresses. For larger groups we also have a queen air mattress that can be set up in the living room. The rear patio is completely private and looks out toward a 180-degree view of the Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet. It features a fire pit and comfortable Adirondack-style chairs. It's a great place to bask in the sun during the long Alaska summer days or to gather around the fire in the evening, toast marshmallows and visit. In the summer months we also have raised beds where we grow organic vegetables which we share with our guests. The gourmet kitchen features lots of counter space, a stainless gas range, side-by side refrigerator, espresso maker, wine chiller, food processor, dishwasher and Vitamix blender. Our ample laundry room offers high-quality front-loading washer and dryer, ironing board, hanging area and folding table. A NOTE ABOUT OUR CATS We have cats but they do NOT stay in the house when guests come; we take them with us and thoroughly clean the house (including bedding and furniture) and use ionic air purifiers to minimize allergens. Additionally, for the summer season we will be moving them to another location. Guest AccessThe entire house (but not the garage). The NeighborhoodOther nice homes nearby enjoy the spectacular view from the bluffs (we think our view is the best around though :-). There are no other houses immediately on either side of this home, allowing a high degree of privacy. Getting Around6.5 miles from Alaska Railroad station in Wasilla. Rental cars and cabs are available in Anchorage and in Wasilla. 7.4 miles to Wasilla municipal airport, 15 miles to Goose Bay Airport; many other small airstrips are close by.                             My place is close to the heart of Wasilla, shopping, park, dining and entertainment are just minutes away. You’ll love my place because of the quiet low traffic neighborhood it is located in. The home has a large sunny deck with a fully fenced back yard that includes a BBQ and picnic table. The family room has a gas fire place, with large screen TV/DVD player. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
