The SpaceThis beautiful Estate is located on the border of Nipomo, and Arroyo Grande, California. Central Coast, the best place to be! In the country, but a short 8 minute drive to the beach . 2 1/2 acres of english gardens, gazebo's, pool, jaquzzi, and an incredible home to top it off.We get the best weather ever, a micro climate, because we are below the Mesa, and do not get the fog. We are in- land enough from the beaches, so we do not get Gloom of fog, and the drive is short and sweet, if we do want to get to the Ocean.. The Schoolhouse was built in 1891, and later restored and converted into a family home. The house has 4 bedrooms, a family room for entertainment, a formal living room, with a baby grand piano, and a formal dining room, with a gorgeous Farm Table, that seats 10. There is a ton of light in the kitchen, with an entire wall of windows looking out to the pool and yard. There is an Island, with bench seats in the kitchen, too.The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, and a comfortable couch, to sit in. The house is very lived in, love has defiantly dwelled here. Our family of 6 and dogs and cats , My husband and I moved here from Manhattan Bch in 2000, and raised our four children here. We have had goats, chickens, snakes, dogs, puppys cats, birds, & have made tremendous memories here. There is detail, and character in every inch of the house and grounds. There is a laundry room, a separate art barn, and a separate Yoga Studio. Three car garage, and guest house, which is rented out separately. There are 3 queen beds and CAL King. There is a queen sofa sleeper in the formal living room. So technically, 12 people can sleep here, if the beds are being shared. There is so much space in this house, there are 7 couches to choose from to kick back and read a book! One of pour favorite thing to do!

The SpaceWELCOME to the MINI RANCH! A private apartment (a walk out basement) on a small family "ranch" very close to the quaint village of Arroyo Grande. This spacious apartment is a great base to explore all the natural beauty on the central coast. One of our guests left a review that said, "Everything is for sharing" . YES! That is exactly how we feel about being hosts. Our desire to share all that we have is why we love being hosts! Meeting our guests from near and far has enriched our lives. Guest AccessThis listing is for a PRIVATE ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT ON THE LOWER LEVEL OF OUR HOME. It is designed as a "walk out basement". WE WILL BE LIVING UPSTAIRS DURING YOUR STAY. Your will have a large living space, one large separate bedroom, and one bathroom. It is about 650 sq. feet, and will accommodate up to five guests comfortably. Please note the posted nightly fee is for ONE or TWO guests. There is an additional $20 fee for each extra guest up to a maximum of 5 guests. We consider your children to be "guests". Babies under 1 year are welcome with no charge. We do not accept "toddlers" or children between the ages of 2 and 5. The apt is not suitable for this age. We prefer guests over the age of 6 years. Please include the number of children when you make your reservation. The apartment has its own separate entrance with parking for two cars. There are stairs in the apartment that lead up to our living space, however the stairs are blocked off and not usable. (see the pictures) Please note: YOU MAY HEAR SOME NOISE FROM UPSTAIRS WHEN WE ARE HOME. ONE BEDROOM: There is ONE very large bedroom with three beds: a full size bed, a queen size bed, and a single bed. Guests always comment that our beds are comfortable and that they sleep well. All three beds have additional foam toppers, and quality bedding. . There is closet space, a dresser, mirrors, reading lamps, and original artwork. ONE BATHROOM: The bathroom is small, but has a large shower with good water pressure. There is no bathtub. Feeling adventurous? You are welcome to use our outdoor shower, next to the hot tub in the garden. It's hot, private, and you have an amazing few of stars, or sunset. Its our favorite shower in the whole house. LIVING AREA: The living area has a custom made concrete dining table, two comfy couches, (NOT a pull-out sleeper) good books, and large TV with lots of channels. The rustic concrete floor is heated so it feels quite cozy in the winter. There is original artwork throughout the apartment, primarily abstract female nudes. Kate's mom is the artist. KITCHENETTE: Please note:There is NOT A FULL KITCHEN IN THE APARTMENT. There is NO oven or stove. Do NOT plan on cooking a full meal. However, there is a "kitchenette" which includes: a small sink, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hot water kettle, and a toaster oven. . A light breakfast of cereal, coffee and tea are provided by the hosts to make your morning convenient. Interaction with GuestsWe prefer to meet all our guests at check in time. We like to explain the details of the apt, show you the garden, and introduce you to the animals if you would like to meet them. However, often we can't be home when you arrive, or you may arrive after our bed time. In that case, you will receive directions for a simple "self check in". Please keep us updated as to what time you plan to arrive. We are always available by phone or text if you have any questions or need something. We LOVE meeting our guests and getting to know you. We are more than happy to give you advice about how to enjoy your time on the central coast. We can recommend hikes, beaches, restaurants....whatever you need. But we also respect your privacy after a long day of travel. We will follow your lead on how much interaction you would like to have with us. The NeighborhoodYou will be close (approx one mile, or 20 min. walk) to the charming village of Arroyo Grande where you will find.... shops, restaurants, bars , and a Saturday farmer's market. Nearby beaches are....Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and Shell Beach. Montana De Oro State Park , Morro Bay, and Cayucos are a 30 min drive north. Some guests drive to Santa Barbara for the day or up the coast to Cambria and San Simeon. These are easy full day adventures. A 20 minute drive through beautiful wine country will take you to San Luis Obispo.... a lively college town. There are wonderful wineries all around us. Also, just a few miles away in Lopez Lake Campground. Nice place for camping, water sports, trail rides, mountain biking, and hikes. They even have a ropes course with a zip line.... super fun for kids! Getting AroundYou can walk or bicycle to the Arroyo Grande village, but you will need a car for most other adventures on the central coast. Other Things to NoteYour children are welcome as guests, however, we'd prefer kids to be SIX YEARS OR OLDER PLEASE. Our apt. is NOT baby proofed for toddlers (age 2-5), and we do not have any toys, or other baby equipment on hand to loan you. (We don't have kids) It is important to message me with information and details about your KIDS and DOGS before booking. Without detailed information about the guests who are coming, I can't accept your booking. We happily share our outdoor space with you, including our hot tub! There are....decks, patios, outdoor tables, chairs, gardens, outdoor shower, and a fire pit. Our house is very well insulated, and there is radiant heating under the floors. Our electricity is powered by solar panels, and we feed all green waste to the chickens, so you can feel very "Eco-Friendly" during your stay with us. We are ANIMAL LOVERS and have two friendly dogs, Blu and Luna. They are a quiet, friendly, family members. The dogs will not come into your apartment. But you are welcome to meet them in the garden. They are gentle dogs and are sweet to respectful older children. If you are allergic to dog hair, you may not be comfortable staying with us. Many of our guests do bring their own dogs to stay in the apartment, and although we clean thoroughly, pet dander may bother people who are allergic. This is a "ranch" (URL HIDDEN) addition to the dogs, we have 1 horse, 2 goats, and a small crew of chickens. (no noisy roosters though!) So be prepared for "ranchy" type smells and a bit of dust on your car. Yes, our home is PET FRIENDLY! If you are traveling with a well mannered, socialized dog, we'd be happy to host your dog as well. Tell me in advance if you are planning to bring a dog....there is an additional charge of $10 PER NIGHT. I would like to know a few details about your dog before booking. (such as size, breed, sex, age) There are many dog friendly beaches, hikes and restaurants in our area and we can direct you to all of those. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE" HOUSE RULES" ABOUT DOGS BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR RESERVATION. This is also a HORSE HOTEL!! I have room for two horse guests. If you are interested in bringing your horse along please let me know and we can discuss more horsie details.

The SpaceWelcome to The Victorian where you experience peacefulness and tranquility while reconnecting to both the now and the past. The Victorian rests upon two lovingly sculptured acres edged with fruit trees, a vegetable garden (seasonal) and a majestic oak tree. The Victorian is perfectly situated near the beaches and wineries of the Central Coast and the historic Village of Arroyo Grande. Play bocce ball on the broad expanse of the lush lawn or nap in the hammock on the patio. In the evenings relax under a starry sky while basking in the warmth of the natural gas fire pit. Special features of The Victorian include 12 foot ceilings with crown molding throughout, a luxurious bathtub in the master bedroom and imported white Italian Carara marble counter tops in the kitchen. The dining room is graced by an antique rectory table. Reconnect to nature by feeding the miniature goats and harvesting herbs and vegetables from the garden (seasonal). The house has a full bath with custom tiled shower. The master bedroom has a soaking bathtub and a beautiful four legged pedestal sink. Enjoy the game table where you can play chess and checkers. My wonderful caretaker lives in a charming cottage about 75 feet behind The Victorian. She has a pet-sitting business and is often not there. The cottage is far enough away and separated by the large patio and mature landscaping so that it does intrude upon the privacy of The Victorian. The house is finely appointed and is not a "party" house. It is more suited to adults, couples or two couples. Other amenities include two spa robes, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner and an iron and ironing board. Potential guests must have a completely filled out profile with photo and online and offline verifications as recommended by Airbnb. Guest AccessEntire house, patio with hammock and table/chairs, natural gas fire pit, large manicured lawn. Interaction with GuestsI meet my guests at check-in and I usually come onto the property to feed the goats and water the garden. The NeighborhoodPeaceful, quiet, rural setting a few miles from Pismo Beach and Shell Beach. San Luis Obispo is about 15 miles north. The Village of Arroyo Grande is a 15 minute walk or only a few minutes by car. There are many local wineries nearby the property. Paso Robles, which is a 45 minute drive, has many wineries. Getting AroundA car is necessary. Other Things to NoteThe house is finely appointed and is not a "party" house. It is more suited to adults, couples or two couples. Potential guests must have a completely filled out profile with photo and online and offline verifications as recommended by Airbnb. Your profile should not be limited to your name!

The SpaceOlive Tree Cabin, the newest addition to our vacation rentals, was one of the original structures on our property. At one time our 11 acres and the adjoining acreage were part of a large ranch. Originally a tack room this rustically charming cabin was turned into a studio apartment by the previous owners in the 60’s. True to its origins we have preserved it’s rustic nature and went with the 60’’s feel for the interior. As with the Cottage, nearly all the interior furnishing are repurposed or vintage pieces. Olive Tree Cabin sleeps 2 in a queen size bed. The ample living space allows for a rollaway for those who may be a 3 person party or have a small child. The elevated deck gives a beautiful view of the surrounding pastures and oak studded hillsides. Just steps away is the private hot tub. Amenities include a BBQ, fully appointed kitchen with stove top, microwave, frig, coffee maker and all the necessary kitchen tools. A large bathroom with corner shower complete this space. We are unique, because we have a historical monument on the property. We live in an old schoolhouse built in 1891. This shares the 2 1/2 acre parcel with the guest house. Very quiet set in the country, although we are minutes from surf, paddle boarding, wineries, shopping, restaurants We offer private Yoga Instruction, if you wish, I am a Yoga Works Certified teacher and have a private studio on the property. We love to share our mountain bikes for touring around the neighborhood, or for Mountain biking in the local trails around Avila, Pismo, or san Luis. There are dozens of fabulous hikes in our area. Great for all ages, and levels. I would be more than happy to cook for you as you are here. I cook with all organic vegies from a local farm in AG, fresh fishes, hormone free meats, and I LOVE to bake!! This is just an added request on your part...you can even choose your menu. This is a private area, gorgeous for relaxing by the pool and reading a good book. The wineries are as close as 2 miles away, and all around the area, Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, as well. There is a water slides park up in Paso as well. Our home has been featured in Central Coast magazine, as well as A full featured movie back in 2012. This was in fact a running school with several children from the area, and closed back in 1935. We have a fuji apple orchard, with 100 trees, several plum trees, orange trees, cherry trees, tomato plants and more. If you are interested, please e mail or call me, I am happy to send more photos. I was un able to up load any more photos to the sight....... Hope to meet you soon, and to share our lovely space with you. Guest Accesspool/jaquzzi/washer/dryer/grounds of property Interaction with Guestsvery minimal The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is a dirt road, in the country,I strongly discourage staying here if you have allergies. I have a field on either side of us....Making dust and pollen a problem. Just a heads up:

The SpaceExperience the good life in the heart of California's Central Coast, Arroyo Grande. Relax in the privacy of an artfully appointed guest room that opens through French doors onto a secluded, landscaped Mediterranean-style courtyard (for your use alone). After the day's activities, sunbathe or read by the gently gurgling fountain. Sip wine or chat together under a starry night sky while enjoying the ambiance (and warmth) of a fire bowl. A bountiful breakfast featuring local, seasonal treats from the Central Coast will be served in the courtyard to a chorus of songbirds, if requested in advance and weather permits. (Breakfast served Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.) With its own entrance, your guest room features a queen size sleigh bed (with lots of pillows and a down comforter) as well as an en suite shower and jacuzzi. Electric kettle, coffees and teas, Bose iPod speakers, hair dryer, magnifying mirror and wireless internet are also provided. Beach chairs and beach towels are also available for guest use. There is no TV in paradise. My home is centrally located halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco on California’s spectacular Central Coast just ½ mile off the 101 in a quiet residential neighborhood. Beautiful beaches and miles of sand dunes (5 min), vineyards and wineries (5 miles) abound. Walk the piers at nearby Pismo and Avila beaches. The charming Village of Arroyo Grande (2 miles) and the culture and night life of San Luis Obispo (10 miles) are on everyone’s must-see list. (Don’t miss the Thursday night farmer’s market in SLO.) There are great restaurants to match everyone’s palate and budget, and I can provide you with a book of menus, as well as directions to local attractions. Going a bit further north, most tourists visit Morro Rock in Morro Bay (30 miles) as well as the incredible elephant seals in Cambria (50 miles) and Hearst Castle at San Simeon. Traditional California landscapes and more wineries entice travelers to Paso Robles (45 min.) and Lake Nacimiento (one hour). Guest AccessThis room is separate from the house with its own private entrance and does not have kitchen facilities. Interaction with GuestsI honor my guests' desire for privacy but am always pleased to join them at breakfast or chat if they wish. The NeighborhoodMy neighborhood is a mix of young families and retired people. It's a safe place to live and walk around and is generally very quiet and peaceful. Getting AroundWe do have buses that run between Arroyo Grande and the beaches as well as to San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay, but they do not run frequently. Driving is easy here and you rarely have trouble finding parking anywhere you go.

The SpaceThis home is not designed to be modern, plush, fancy or lavish, nor is it suited to be a "party house", just clean, spacious and enjoyable. 5 beds have quality mattresses for a comfortable nights sleep. (Additional trundle cot under bunks w/memory foam mattress). Two bathrooms still carry all the character and style of the 50's but are fully functional and what they lack in modern form is made up in the main bathroom which has been remodeled.. This is a well used and loved vacation home by many and will show signs of age, wear and maybe even some personal items as this is a family owned vacation home. Please respect that there are many items that you may use if convenient but remember these additional items such as cleaning supplies, kitchen items, pillows, towels, etc. are just here as convenience and if you feel the need for newer items, or find that you are very particular about these types of personal items, please feel free to bring your own rather than those that seem to get used and abused here by many travelers. This home should easily suit anyone's purposes for enjoying the area with the ability to take in great views from back deck or bbq in courtyard with family and friends - large enclosed backyard for child safety. The decor is nothing fancy, just some charming, usable bric a brac treasures acquired along the way. This by no means insinuates that it should not be respected. Two sitting/living rooms, 1 1/2 kitchens & dining areas. Enjoy a nice toasty fire either upstairs or down. Washer/Dryer for your convenience. **Remember this is an older home so there is a steep staircase going down into what used to be a basement. It is off the bedroom with double bunk beds. Watch your step (and your head) going down but you will be pleasantly surprised that it is like a completely separate apartment down there now - just adding to the spaciousness of this home. Close to quaint coastal shopping, fantastic dining, outlet mall and famous Pismo Beach. Close proximity to some of the best beaches on the coast. Guests have access to both units. We are only 25 minutes and a phone call or text message away This is the perfect location to do all the best fun stuff on the central coast. Within less than an hour, you can go north to the world famous Hearst castle of south to cultural city of Solvang or enjoy the wine trail on your way to Santa Barbara. Great beach and wine tasting experiences are at your fingertips So close to beaches, dining, & shopping Monarch butterfly grove is the best snd largest in the world...enjoy it from November - February Famous Pismo sand dunes are a must for the adventurous person to ride dune buggies or ATV's. Incredible wild life is viewed at Avila Beach for kayaking less than 15 minutes drive. Pismo outlet mall for great prices on great designer clothing. Getting AroundWe are 5 miles from the San Luis Obispo airport. Other Things to NoteSmall dogs and cats are welcome. We have one dog who has a big fenced in area, so he won't be running around, and two great cats. We also have a handful of ducks and chickens and we let our neighbors 28 year old horse, Concho hang out in our pastures. If you stay for more than 3 or 4 days, I will swing by to refill the water tank and deal with the trash and recycling, just as a heads up! There is also a boogie board or two and an 8' foam top longboard if you ask me, to make a beach trip that much better!

The SpaceBorghild's Villa (named after my Norwegian Bestemor (Grandmother)) is spacious and relaxing with an amazing south facing view. Our listing only allows us to describe it as offering 1 bedroom but actually we are offering 3 bedrooms with full access to the kitchen and most of the house, all included for the one price. Please read all the descriptions below (Note: this site is not an "entire house" listing). Each of the 3 bedrooms offered is fun and unique with its own private bathroom, a private mini fridge, smart TV, blu-ray DVD player, and a flight of stairs to a spacious loft with a custom iron railing. The first bedroom is more like a suite, and has 1 king bed in the loft (sleeping 2 comfortably) and a lovely sitting room on the main floor. The second bedroom has 1 king bed on the main floor and 1 king bed and 3 twin beds in the loft (no bunks) sleeping up to 7 comfortably. And the third bedroom has 1 queen bed on the main floor, and 2 extra long twin beds in the loft sleeping 4 comfortably. The large roomy kitchen has a complimentary coffee bar, and also if you wish, we can provide a continental type breakfast if requested in advance. The Master bedroom that we do occupy during your stay, is off the kitchen on the opposite end of the house from your 3 rented bedrooms. You will NOT be sharing the house with other Airbnb guests. Of course our main goal is to provide a spacious retreat-type atmosphere for everyone to have fun eventful activities and gatherings, laugh a lot with friends and family, and have a great time creating memories, and alcohol and music is permitted. Suggested Bridal event: We enjoy hosting entire pre-wedding bridal parties, where the bride and her bridesmaids may spend a few nights, and then get ready and prepare for the wedding, before leaving for your wedding venue. Typically the mothers and grandmothers and aunts etc. join in for this occasion, and we serve everyone a lovely brunch while all are getting prepped for the eventful wedding day! Its a great way not only to prepare, but to decompress, visit, and make special memories. With enough comfortable space to have make-up and hair done, everyone is beautiful and ready to go, adding some fun to your most memorable day! Guest AccessOur goal is to make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and at home. Please use the big front doors for your initial arrival. Typically we book only one guest and their group at a time, so you will NOT be sharing Borghild's Villa with other Airbnb guests. Also with the exception of the garage, home office, and master bedroom (we do occupy the master bedroom and will be mostly present during your stay) you will have full access to all of the house, living spaces, patio, and the finished landscape areas. This includes full use of the the kitchen (I can help you navigate) and all the appliances, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, outdoor gas grill, etc. The patio (comfortable and entirely usable, however some landscape in the back of the house is still a work in progress), has chairs and tables available to sit and enjoy coffee, wine or cuisine looking out over our lovely view, and we are happy to announce that our new outdoor fire pit is now completed! Each bedroom door has its own number code lock. Also the 3 private bedrooms are on the opposite end of the house from our master bedroom, that we occupy. Also we would like to mention that each bedroom has a flight of stairs from the main floor of the bedroom to the upper loft. Please note that the stairway design does not support a baby gate either at the top or the bottom of the stairs, and take this into consideration if you intend to have your precious children as guests. Free parking is available for a number of vehicles. Smoking tobacco, e-cigs, and e-vape is allowed, but outside only please! Thank you! Interaction with GuestsWe are open to discuss any requests, desires or concerns you may have during your stay here at Borghild's Villa. Please check out our Guidebook on this site for some of our many recommendations for our beautiful Central Coast California area. A few of the many things we have available are card games, board games and ping pong, corn-hole, trampoline, etc., all of which you are welcome to enjoy. You will have full access to the living spaces, and kitchen with all the appliances, dishes, utensils, stemware, ice buckets, etc., so please feel free to cook or BBQ your own cuisine whenever you like. We do have an outdoor gas grill available and open for you to use. The house is large enough that we can provide you as much privacy as possible, if more privacy is what you prefer. However please be aware of the fact that we ourselves do occupy the house during your stay, and use the master bedroom that is off the kitchen and on the opposite side of the house from the 3 bedrooms you will occupy during your stay. Our price includes our 10% local Transient Occupancy Tax we are required to collect from all our Airbnb guests. The NeighborhoodOur expanded neighborhood offers a full variety of things to do; Visit several lovely beaches, golf, sand dune buggies/rental, wineries, breweries, hiking trails, bicycling, kayaking, an easy stroll on the beaches and piers, night time beach bonfires, fishing, surfing, paddle-boarding, sea animal life, whale watching (seasonal), horseback riding, and great restaurants, just to name a few (Please refer to our Guidebook on our site). Our weather is usually moderate, and our greener months are usually in winter, from November to early May (given there is no drought), and our summer season is typically in the late spring through October, this is when the many vineyards are green and colorful! The walk around our immediate neighborhood is quite nice with lovely views, and the end of our street you can see the Pacific Ocean at a distance. Also our immediate neighborhood is basically 5 small cities squished together, and we locals call it the 5 cities area. Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, and Shell Beach. Other cities such as San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria towns are fairly close by as well. Solvang is approximately a 35 minutes drive south. Getting AroundOur home is not close to public transportation, so we recommend having your own vehicle, and of course, GPS. The closest train station is about 9 minutes from our house (Grover Beach) and there is public bus transportation in town but not within walking distance from our home. There is no subway system here. There is however a Hop On wine/beer small bus tour service in our area for private and social tours, you can hire and book ahead of time, that will come and pick you up from our door (HopOnBeerTours). I recommend booking in advance as they are a popular service. The good news is, we only have one freeway (Hwy 101) and no smog! Traffic usually is not problematic. We are approximately a 8 minute drive to Pismo Beach and a bit further for Shell Beach, Avila Beach, Pirates Cove, and further up the Hwy 1 to Morro Bay and beyond for more beautiful beaches. We are a few minutes from shopping and dining in our 5 Cities Area including our quaint town of Old Arroyo Grande, and a few minutes more to several shopping centers, wineries, wine-bars, breweries, golf courses, Oceano Guadalupe Sand Dunes etc. Other Things to NoteDuring Summer season and most Holiday weekends we have a 2 night minimum. (Airbnb does not offer a space to enter this information) Also all children 6 months and older will be counted in the final guest count. Our home is fairly new, and because of our severe CA drought, we are currently forced to working very slowly on finishing the landscape in the back and to the side patio of the house, a work in progress, so we pray for lots of rain this season! There is a private lock and number code on each of your bedroom doors. We do own a outdoor dog and cat. We want to accommodate you as best we can, so please notify us when booking if you have any special needs, or dog or cat allergies. Also let us know if you have any specific food allergies, or dietary concerns, or anything else you think we need to be aware of. Smoking tobacco, e-cigs, and e-vape is allowed, but outside only please! Thank you!

The SpaceOur private in-law unit is located below our main house, but has a separate entrance from the outside. It is a spacious 1 BR, and with the queen-sized murphy bed and the futon located in the main living area, it can sleep five comfortably. Guest AccessEnjoy your morning coffee or sunset glass of wine on the private outdoor patio located right outside of your door. Take a soak in the hot tub. Stroll around the small pond. Take a break in the hammock under the large oak. Or just enjoy the view down the hillside to the distant oceanside dunes. If you're here on a Saturday, join Rachel's community yoga class at 9am in our home yoga studio. Interaction with GuestsWe're flexible. We're happy to give you privacy and only interact if necessary, but we're also open to socializing. Do you have young kids? Perhaps they can jump on the trampoline with our 6 year-old and 4 year-old, or maybe they can all play together in the playroom. As our guest, you take the lead as to how much interaction you would like. The NeighborhoodWe're about 1.5 miles east of Arroyo Grande village, up on a hill. "The Village" is very cute! A great spot to go to check out the farmer's market, have a nice meal, or grab a delicious ice cream at Doc Burnstein's. We're a 15 minute drive through beautiful wine country to San Luis Obispo, a fun and lively college town. Many beaches are within an easy drive - Oceano, Pismo, Shell, and Avila. A bit further away but still accessible are Montana de Oro, Morro Bay, Cayucos and Cambria. Lopez Lake recreation area is also just up the road, a great spot for water activities, camping, hiking and mountain biking. Ask us for a recommendation on what to do! Getting AroundYou will need a car for getting around because we are located in a rural setting, more than a mile from restaurants and shops in the village of Arroyo Grande. Other Things to NoteOur main living area is above the in-law unit and we will be there during your stay, so you may hear some noise from us (likely the pitter-patter of little feet). We will do our best to keep our noise to a minimum. You will also hear the frogs in our pond at night between the months of February-June, their mating season. They can be quite loud, starting at dusk, but most people aren't bothered by them, and it becomes "white noise" in a country setting.
