The SpaceThis lakefront townhouse is a spacious one-bedroom (+1,000- sf) with fireplace, sunroom, "smart" HiDef-TV, super fast internet (w. free long distance phone), and every kitchen appliance one could want. There's a sparkling swimming pool, tennis courts and treed greenbelts w. a bird sanctuary. The views are stunning. CAMARILLO HAS THE BEST CLIMATE IN THE WORLD -- and the world famous Premium (Designer) Outlet Center (w. 200 shops of designer labels at discount prices) is walking distance, as is a verdant city park w. free music concerts, a variety of delicious restaurants, and even a Trader Joe's Grocery across the street.. **There is a comfy futon sleeper in the living room, spacious for one and a bit tight for two, and a top-of-the-line queen air mattress in the sunroom that overlooks the lake. NOTE: The "sunroom" will be "private" after January 11th.** We have our own private airport (if you want to take a plane or heli tour of the area). The artsy center of Ventura is 15 minutes as is the town center of Thousand Oaks with it's opera center. Malibu Beach is 20-minutes, and Beverly Hills, Universal Studios and Santa Barbara are about 45 minutes. If you don't feel like driving, you could walk to the AMTRAK train station from here - and it takes you to Downtown Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, or even San Francisco. -- And the RoadRunner Shuttle takes you from LAX international airport right to my door. The SpaceThis unit is quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. While it's considered a studio-style apartment, WoodRaven features an open layout that feels light and airy. The window and private yard look out to the Santa Monica Mountains, and iconic Boney Mountain. Guest AccessPrivate gated yard and private entrance to the unit. All amenities are private: kitchen, bathroom, and side yard. No shared spaces. Interaction with GuestsAlthough the unit shares a wall with the main house, the unit is completely separated. We are nearby for assistance and questions, but you won't see us unless you want to! The NeighborhoodThe area is safe, quiet, comfortable, and BEAUTIFUL! We can't say enough about the mountains, and the breeze is lovely too. Short walk to trails. Walking distance to Albertsons, CVS, Starbucks, and several other restaurants and bars. Getting AroundLots of street parking, close to bus stops, and local driving services are available. Other Things to NoteWhile still close enough to major SoCal cities, Newbury Park is a smaller suburb of Thousand Oaks, and was recently found to be the 4th safest city in the nation. The SpaceThe Condominium complex, called "Lakeside Village," has a 10-acre lake with waterfowl and turtles, my paddleboat to use, and is close to everything, including Trader Joe's(3 minutes), the Camarillo Premium Outlets(5minutes), and (CSUCI--California State University Channel Islands(easy 15 min. drive), beach(15-20 minute drive), and hiking. I love guests and making sure they are comfortable. Windows have double-paned glass, as well, for keeping things quiet, although this is normally a very quiet complex. Guests may also have use of the pool, tennis courts, and jacuzzi. My friends have told me many times that it is such a peaceful home. It is a pleasure to sit out on the patio and watch the hummingbirds and finches drink and shower in the fountain! There are many varied restaurants within walking distance, and movie theaters are minutes away. Both fully furnished cozy bedrooms have very comfortable double pillow-top mattresses, and include all bed linens and bath towels. Cable and wireless internet are also available to use, as is the fully-equipped kitchen and washer and dryer. For weekend guests, or those staying 2 nights or less, coffee, toast, oatmeal, organic fruit and yogurt breakfast is also available. Guest Accessfully stocked kitchen and laundry, pool and spa and tennis courts. Interaction with Guestsguests can have as much privacy as they would like, and I may or may not be around. The NeighborhoodI love the Jacaranda trees, the lake and its wildlife. Also love the convenience of restaurants and stores being so close, really within walking distance.

The SpaceWe have stayed in B&B's all over Europe, and loved it. Such a great way to meet new people, and get to know the community. This room has a full size bed that comfortably suits a single person. In addition, a small writing desk will accommodate your laptop or iPad, and wifi is available. We have just added a beverage/snack station as well, with a kettle and tea/coffee and snacks. Although the house has air conditioning, there is a ceiling fan in the room if you choose to use it. If you want a personal TV, there is one you can use to access Netflix. Hardwood floors, large closet with shelves, and window with lots of natural light. Room darkening shades make for better sleep. In the evening, guests are welcome to use the 42" flatscreen TV in the open country kitchen/family room. Because we live with two quiet dogs and cats, we can provide an air cleaner for those with allergies, or a sensitivity to dust, or animal hair. If you are very sensitive, you might be more comfortable in a controlled, hotel environment. We try to offer low rates and ask for early notice of cancellation for a full refund. Happy travels! Getting AroundThe best way to see SoCal is by car. There are taxis you can get, and buses in Thousand Oaks. The closest bus stop is a few blocks walk. If you don't have a car, there is an Enterprise rental car service in Thousand Oaks. Other Things to NoteHopefully you won't mind being greeted by our furry friends, as they are quiet most of the time otherwise. We ask for quiet from our guests after 10pm. If you are a night owl, who needs to prowl the house, our home may not a good fit for you. The neighborhood is quiet, and there is a great park within two blocks of the house, where we walk the dogs, and just get exercise. Going the other direction, there is access to two restaurants, drug store, and Trader Joe's within a mile. Another couple of miles is a library, a bike shop, and Italian food. The best way to see any of SoCal is by car. If you don't have one, there is an Enterprise rental car service in Thousand Oaks. If you want a comfortable place to stay, especially if it is for more than just an overnight, you will be much happier here than at any of the local motels. The SpaceMy quiet home in Camarillo is a great place if you are a traveling student or making a business trip and need a short stay to break up your journey! As a student I was fortunate enough to meet new people who were willing to let me stay with them at an affordable rate which is what allowed me to live out of suit cases for a year :) I decided to open up my spare room to guests as a way to pay it forward to students, those in the noble professions and the occasional out of towner who is here job seeking and just needs a short stay. Health professionals are encouraged since you can relate to my lifestyle! Guest AccessOwn bathroom, kitchen privileges - help yourself to coffee. Meals are not provided but you will have room to store food in the fridge and cupboards. Wi-fi and access to the pool/hot tub are provided. Interaction with GuestsProbably not much as I work long hours, but if I'm around I'm happy to provide suggestions for local night life, good restaurants and outdoor activities. If you are interested or enjoy salsa dancing, you're welcome to join me on Wednesdays or Sundays! The NeighborhoodQuiet and clean. Free easy parking and access to the hot tubs and pool if so desired. Getting AroundThere is a great FREE shuttle to the major shopping areas in Camarillo and Amtrak, and it's just a short walk to the closest grocery store and restaurants. There is also a Dial A Ride door to door local option which can be called within 2 hours of your desired travel time to get within the city limits of Camarillo. Other Things to NoteI have one dog and one (transient) cat here so please keep that in mind. They like to dumpster dive and snoop in your room so please keep your bedroom and guest bathroom doors closed when you're gone and at your departure. Unfortunately I cannot accommodate other pets. I also have a housekeeper who comes once a month, usually on Thursdays. If your room is to be cleaned please make sure most of your belongings are set aside or in the closet so that they can clean the floors.

The SpaceThere really is no other airstream like this one. Stripped down and past its aluminum studs, it's been redesigned into a large studio with three large frameless glass panels that slide open to a huge cantilevered deck with unrivaled views of County Line beach, the Channel islands, Catalina and Deer creek canyon. Lounge in the thick wool rugs, drive down to surf one of Malibu's best beaches, have dinner at neptune's net or go hike Santa Monica's highest peak just behind the property. Enjoy incredible starry nights without any light pollution and try to spot the coyotes and deer in the early morning light. IMPORTANT NOTE - There is a bathroom, with a perfectly clean toilet and shower and sinks BUT hot water can be tricky and only available once the sun has heated the tank. Please make showers quick as we have to manually truck each gallon of water up to the airstream. Guest AccessThere's a queen sized bed and another pull out sofa that can fit another person - bring your own sleeping bag for the 3rd wheel ;-). Kitchenette, fridge and separate bathroom with complete privacy and stunning views. The NeighborhoodCircle x ranch, county line beach, matador beach, zuma as well as many other hikes are all less than 10mn away. Getting Around99% of cars will make it up the dirt road. Lowered sports cars will scrape. Other Things to NoteThere are two routes up to the airstream. The short one (not paved, you'll need an SUV) takes 7 minutes to the beach, the longer one (paved and gentle dirt road, all non lowered cars make it ok as long as you are a decent driver and know how to navigate ruts) takes about 11 minutes but is very scenic and beautiful. If you are fearful of dirt roads, care immensely about your sports car, or are afraid of cliffs, skip this booking. For all other adventurers, I make it up with my prius without bottoming out no problem so don't fear.

    Our 3500 sq. ft home is located in the Las Posas Estates on a one acre lot. The home features 4 bedroom, a loft and 4 1/2 bathrooms. Your spacious bedroom will be downstairs with a private bathroom with access to the kitchen, nook, family room, and our outdoor area, which includes an outdoor table and chairs, a BBQ, a heated pool in the summer and a heated jacuzzi in the winter.

This room has a TV with Netflix access, and a full-size bed, it comfortably suits a single person. The bed is a snug fit for two, but has worked for couples. If you don't have one, there is an Enterprise rental car service in Thousand Oaks. In addition, Uber is available here as in other communities. Other Things to NoteIf you want a comfortable place to stay, especially if it is for more than just an overnight, you will be much happier here than at any of the local motels.     The SpaceOur guest house is located behind the main house in a pleasant, safe neighborhood that is both central and quiet. Casement windows and french doors open up to trees, flowers and birds. Our 1/3 acre yard borders a park with public tennis courts and mature trees. The bed has a full sized memory foam mattress - incredibly comfortable. If you need a second bed we can provide an air mattress. The daybed is also very comfortable. We have a Smart TV that's pre-loaded with Netflix and Amazon prime streaming, plus all the regular channels. The kitchen has a small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and hot plate, and there is a full sized grill and outdoor kitchen that you're welcome to use too. We are equidistant between LA and Santa Barbara; close to CSUCI, Camarillo Premium Outlets, Amgen, County Line for surfing, and the Camarillo airport. Newbury Park is centrally located for trips to Santa Barbara (forty-five minute drive) Malibu (thirty minutes) LA or Hollywood. (forty). Disneyland is sixty-five miles away...time varies with traffic on the 101 fwy. CSU Channel Islands is a ten minute drive away and CLU is fifteen. Biotech giant Amgen is one of Newbury Park's biggest employers, and also only ten minutes away. Getting AroundAn Amtrak train station is five miles away in Camarillo. You'll love our home because of the neighborhood, the outdoor space and the comfy beds (most are memory foam mattresses). Our place is good for a couple of small families, couples get away or a larger family. Beds: 1 queen, 2 sets of bunk beds, 2 rollaway beds can be a queen or 2 twin beds, a queen air mattress is also available for the den.
