The SpaceThis old ranch house is nestled in an Avocado Orchard in a small town outside of Santa Barbara, Ca. Although you have the feel of being far from the craziness of life this peaceful setting is five minutes from downtown Carpinteria and the beaches. Bikes are available to cruise into town on a thursday for farmers market, or take the beach chairs to the beach for the day or to watch the sunset. We welcome our guests with wine and refreshments. Fresh eggs from our chickens, Nellie and Ralphina. We have a ping pong table and dart board to unwind at the end of a long day. Enjoy a campfire and sleep under the stars in a hammock if your heart so desires. Information available for local restaurants, festivals and activities .....Come, relax and enjoy a time away at The RUSTIC AVOCADO RANCH.

The private guest room and bath is conveniently located on one side of this relaxing, peaceful home. The guest room offers a very cozy queen-size bed, down comforter and pillows for a good nights sleep. The private, full bath is attached to the room and has a very large shower, fresh towels, hair dryer, complimentary: soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste. There is access to a gourmet kitchen for preparing meals there is complimentary coffee and tea, laundry, dinning room, living room with a flat screen TV/ HD DVD player. Free WiFi though out the house and tranquil sun-room with views of the garden and the Los Padres National Forest as a backdrop. There is also several outdoor spaces to enjoy a book in the shade on the patio, take in the sun or relax in the hot tub. There is easy, accessible street parking available right in front of the house. I have called Carpinteria and Santa Barbara my home for my whole life. I have hosted International students from Holland, Japan and Switzerland. I have a Wealth of Knowledge which I would love to share with you and help make your trip a wonderful experience. I will pick up or drop off at the Carpinteria Amtrak Train Station no charge. There are bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, and a cooler for you to use during your stay. The house is located 1 mile from the Carpinteria State Beach and charming downtown Carpinteria with many shops, cafes, ice-creamery, local brewery, wine bar, and great little places to eat. There is also a shuttle which picks up in the neighborhood and will take you all the way to the beach. Carpinteria has little gems like the Bluffs Nature Preserve, and the Salt Marsh wetlands both are magical places to take and evening stroll. Easy accesses north to Santa Barbara, Summerland, Santa Ynez and Montecito and south to Ojai. Guest AccessI welcome you to my home. The kitchen, and sunroom are my favorite. There are 2 patios and a hot tub to help you relax and enjoy your stay. Interaction with GuestsThis is my primary residence and I live in my home. Since joining Airbnb 4 years ago, they have helped me share it with many wonderful guests. I am available to help you with suggestions of things to do during your stay. As well as if problems arise. The NeighborhoodThe small town feel starts at El Carro park where the shuttle picks up one block from the house to down town Carpinteria and the beach. Take backpack chairs and boogie boards and head to the beach. There you can rent kayaks & surf boards. Walking up Linden there are many wonderful restaurants and shops. Take the bikes and ride the 4 mile round trip and see the "bluffs" and Seal rookery. Getting AroundThere are bikes for your use. The neighborhood trolley can be picked up 1 block from the house. It goes around town for fifty cents.

The SpaceSleeps 4-5. Queen bedroom with ample space and lighting, queen comfortable sleeper bed in sofa. Luxury linens and towels provided. If there is a 5th guest (best suited for a child or teen), we will provide a cot with bedding. There is wood floors, lots of light and comfortable touches throughout. The kitchen is well-stocked for all of your food preparation needs. There is a large microwave, large toaster oven, and a full-size fridge. It features a convenient drawer-style dishwasher. Also for cooking there is an outdoor grill, a hot plate and plug-in griddle for pancakes and the like. The kitchen has ample counter space and a deep sink, and overhead there is a skylight. The bathroom has ornate tilework, a glass bowl sink and fun decorative touches. The stacked washer/dryer is available for your use. Relax on the balcony, and enjoy the view of downtown Carpinteria, complete with many palm trees. Parking is available for one car behind the apartment, and there is plenty of street parking for any other vehicles. Check in is 4:00 pm (and no later than 11:00 pm please), and check out is 11:00 am. Other Things to NoteThere is a TV/DVD player, and some DVDs provided, but no TV channels accessible. You can access your own personal Netflix account through the DVD player.

The condo is available on weekends, week days and for extended stays with a week's notice. Minutes from downtown Carpinteria with an array of restaurants, hiking trails, bike rentals, seal rookery, Amtrak Train, shopping, and the world's safest beach. A 20 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara for additional shopping, Sterns Wharf, night life, kayak & paddle board rentals, rock climbing gym, and endless dining opportunities. Uber is always an option. Other Things to NoteOne off-street parking space is included with your rental. Uber is recommended for travel from the SB airport (approx. 20 miles away) to our home. If arriving at LAX airport, SB airbus stops in Carpinteria, about 1 mile from our home. Several students use this option and simply wheel their suitcase from the bus stop to our place.

                        Our cozy Beach Bungalow is warm and welcoming. Just an easy two blocks from the worlds safest beach. Downtown shops and restaurants are just three blocks away. If you wish to visit Santa Barbara it's a short 15 to 20 minute drive up the coast or hop on the train. Relax on the front porch and watch the kids across the street in the playground or toast the end of the day while taking in the sunset. The mountain views are especially beautiful at this time of day. We have many different guests who come to stay here from Grandparents with their adult children and grandchildren to members of wedding parties, graduation and other special events. Sometimes just a couple escaping cold winters and soaking up our Seventy plus degrees winter temps. All of our guest are very happy and appreciative of their stay here and we invite you to come join us and enjoy the beauty and hospitality of our little community. This 1920's bungalow is spacious, charming, cozy and an easy 2 block walk to the beach. Shops, restaurants, parks, tennis, community pool are all within 3 blocks. Explore the restored salt marsh, view migrating birds and the natural wonders unique to Carpinteria, the last small beach community in southern California.

                                      The SpaceThis quiet room, nestled in the foothills of Carpinteria is just minutes away from downtown Carp and only 15 minutes from Santa Barbara. It is an easy bike ride to the beach, and is just down the road from the newly renovated Franklin Trail (a scenic hiking trail). It has a designated off street parking spot, private entrance and bath, and the side patio is surrounded by lush foliage. At night, the sound of crickets and frogs from the nearby creek is just about all you will hear and the sky is full of stars as we away from the lights of downtown. Guest Accessguests have access to their private room and patio. Interaction with GuestsI will be here for you as needed, but there is tons of quiet and privacy. The NeighborhoodThis neighborhood has mountain and ocean views, it is close to both Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, the beach, and great restaurants and shopping, but it feels secluded. Getting AroundFrom this location, it is probably easiest to drive, but there is a great bicycle rental in Carpinteria, Rincon Cycles ( www. (URL HIDDEN) There are buses to Santa Barbara about a 15 minute walk away, you can also drive or bike into town and take the train into SB for the day. Other Things to NoteThere is a cat named Olive who is a presence on the property and may demand a chin scratch, and occasionally there is also a dog (I share with my daughter) who is also a love to people of all sizes and ages.

We live in a residential area close to downtown restaurants & shopping and the pristine & safe beach and state park. Getting AroundStreet parking is almost always available near our home. We ask that you park on the cross street (El Carro Lane) to make sure our neighbors have adequate parking. There is also bus service from Carpinteria to Santa Barbara. Other Things to NoteWe do have animals (cat, dogs, chickens & quail). We speak English, Spanish, German and French and would love to practice if you're so inclined.

                                      The SpaceWe are on the corner of Sandyland Road and Elm St. in the La Cabana complex, just across the street from the beach. We have a heated swimming pool at complex (May through September), beautiful landscaping and gas grill. The wildlife refuge is a short walk and has excellent birding. The seal rookery is down the beach. Dolphins and whales swim offshore. Carpinteria is a lovely beachside town with good restaurants, shops, parks, artists' shops, antique stores, and palm tree lined streets. Santa Barbara is 15 minutes up Rt. 101, with many family activities and attractions: shops; zoo; botanical gardens; bike paths; watersports, art museum, natural history museum . Summerland is a great nearby town for antiquing and many wineries are nearby. Guest AccessGuests have access to pool, BBQ area, shared patio, shared Wi-Fi, one off street parking space and laundry facility onsite. There is also one outdoor shower for rinsing feet. :) Interaction with GuestsThere is an onsite property manager readily available. The NeighborhoodThis unit is close to charming downtown shopping, restaurants, movies, park, Twenty minutes south of Santa Barbara & Cottage Hospital and thirty-forty minutes north of Ventura. Getting AroundYou can walk the town but there is a train station within walking distance with transit to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Other Things to NoteThis space is approx. 560ft so no more than 3 adults and the 3rd guest is an additional charge. The bed is a queen and the couch folds out to a queen size bed. This is upstairs.
