You will feel like you are staying in a peaceful Hideaway. Come enjoy our beautiful oasis in the City. This Cottage will be your peaceful hideaway in vibrate Los Angeles. There is an abundance of natural light and cool ocean breezes, because there are 2 windows in every room. Both bedrooms have Lined Roman Shades in every window to darken it for privacy or for sleeping in. The SpaceVery nice fully furnished BEDROOM with mini fridge, freezer and microwave in our home. We have a 4-bedroom, 2-bath house. We dedicate 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom to our guests from the US and around the world. Guest quarters are located on one side of the house, we live on the other side. The 2 sides are separated by a large open floor plan area that houses the kitchen, dining room and living room. The 2 guest bedrooms are seldom rented at the same time so chances are you will not even have to share the bathroom. Although each room comfortably sleeps 2 people, they are most often occupied by a single guest so the house remains quiet and doesn’t feel crowded. Our guest bedrooms have just been renovated. They are bright, airy, comfortable and nicely decorated and furnished. We keep them clean and welcoming. They all have a queen size bed, a large closet where you can store your luggage and hang your clothes, a chest with 3 large drawers, a desk with a chair. Each bedroom has its own mini-fridge and freezer and a micro-wave oven. A ceiling fan will keep you cool during the summer months and central heating warm in the winter. The nicely tiled bathroom has been recently redone and has a tub. We provide all the linen. If you wish to rent the 2 bedrooms at the same time, you will need to initiate 2 separate requests on this site. Just look for our sister bedroom’s ad: "Just Like Home #2". You can also rent our sister apartment that sleeps 4 and save money: "Just Like Home". Guest AccessOur guests have the full run of the house except our and our son’s bedroom and our bathroom. You have access to the kitchen, the dining room and the laundry area. We also have a side patio for you to relax. You will be given a set of keys and you are free to come and go as you please. There is no curfew. We just ask you to be respectful of the other occupants if you come back in the middle of the night. The few “common sense” house rules we have are also designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and peace and quiet of all residents. Our house sits on a large lot with a front yard. Behind the house we have a couple of rental apartments (of which “Just Like Home” that can also be rented trough this website) so you may bump into our long-term tenants on our property. Our gated lot is surrounded by a 7-foot wall to ensure privacy and safety. Interaction with GuestsWe are quiet friendly and welcoming people, French and American, with a 10-year old kid who keeps us busy and a small obedient dog. There are no sidewalk cafés or restaurants on our street. Getting AroundWe are conveniently located close to 2 main freeways (110 and 105) in the southern part of the city of Los Angeles, central to most places. We are only 15 minutes away from LAX International Airport. You will find bus stops a mere block away from the house and a main subway line half a mile from our place. For people coming to Los Angeles for the first time, note that the city is extremely wide spread and that the transportation of choice is the car, even though there is a lot of traffic most of the time. Every destination may therefore seem “far” especially by European standards. Points of interest, beaches and touristic sites are between 5 and 15 miles away (8 to 24 km). Please use the map below or Internet to check our location and see how far it is to the places you want or need to go to during your stay. Other Things to NotePARKING If you come by car, you will be able to park on our street in front of the house. There is always plenty of space and parking is totally FREE. The SpaceThe house was completely remodeled in May of this year. It sleeps six people very comfortably and has a yard with gas grills. Interaction with GuestsMost often, I will personally hand over the keys and show you around the house. Then I'll leave you on your own, but will be readily available to answer any questions or address any concerns. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is diverse and friendly. Although it is not a gated community, there is only one entrance and it's used primarily by the residents. It's a well-kept-up residential cul-de-sac neighborhood. Getting AroundQuick access to several greater Los Angeles freeways. Other Things to NoteOn the other side of the backyard wall is creek and a trail for horses.

The SpaceVery nice and tastefully furnished 500 sq ft (46.5 m²) apartment with large separate bedroom and bathroom. Located on the top floor of a 2-storey house with private entrance and backyard. Plenty of natural light. The apartment has just been renovated. It is bright, airy, comfortable and nicely decorated and furnished. We keep it clean and welcoming. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a comfortable queen-size sofa bed in the living room to sleep 4 people. Ample closets will let you store your luggage and hang your clothes. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge with freezer compartment, a gas stove and a large microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle… Pots and pans, flatware, glassware, silverware and utensils are also provided for you to cook if you choose not to eat out.. Ceiling fans in each room will keep you cool during the summer months and gas heating warm in the winter. The nicely tiled bathroom has too been recently redone and has a tub. We provide all the linen. If your party exceeds 4 people we can also rent one or 2 of our guest bedrooms in our house which sits just in front of the apartment. Each room provides the same level of comfort and sleep 2 people. You will need to initiate separate requests on this site.
