Welcome to The Tree House! Our 12-sided cabin has a high, slanted roof and a large tree holding up its center. The ambiance is best described as lofty, warm and cozy, and the neighborhood is generally peaceful and quiet. Our cabin comfortably accommodates up to nine people. The Master and Guest bedrooms feature Queen-sized beds, while the spacious loft has two Queen-sized beds and one Full bed. The expansive back porch beckons readers, snoozers, musicians and yogis. Its pond hosts a school of goldfish and two bullfrogs. In Summer, guests frequently arrange group yoga, tai-chi and massages there. Our new Jacuzzi hot tub is large and inviting, and offers a terrific view of the Milky Way on clear, cold nights. Nestled among the trees within sight of the burbling pond, this tub is deep, comfortable, and easily accommodates 4-5 people with room to spare. It is kept impeccably clean as a rule. ** As the father of a three year-old, water safety, and the safety of all guests, is my primary concern. Access to the jacuzzi is only granted after a separate "Safety/Responsibility Agreement" has been signed. The front porch wraps around the other side of the house, and is ideal ideal for sunbathers, loungers and readers. Its large, rustic table and benches are perfect for dining in the Spring and Summer. The entertainment system is super-easy to use. We feature free Netflix, "HBO Now", Hulu Plus and "Showtime Anytime", and guests with iTunes accounts can purchase TV shows and Movies as they like. A Universal Blu-Ray/DVD/CD player stands at the ready. Our system also allows guests broadcast music, over-the-air, from their iPhone and Android phones directly to the house speakers via wifi. Infant/Toddler furnishings and protections are also available, upon request. PETS: Clean and well-behaved dogs will be considered. NON-US VISITORS: FlipKey Damage Protection insurance does not cover non-US guests. In this case, a fully-refundable $1000.00 deposit will be requested. The Tree House is ideally situated between town, ISOMATA and Inspiration Point. Outdoor concerts and theater productions occur year-round. "Art and wine" events are common in town. The Christmas tree-lighting ceremony and town parade are both big draws. The food-culture in Idyllwild is very good, and runs the gamut from fine dining to greasy spoon.

The SpaceThis lovely home sleeps four. Super comfortable laid back environment with an updated kitchen and bathroom. Relax on the porch and breathe in the fresh pine air. You'll find the quiet soothes your every worry away... The house is on a fenced half acre so your dog will have as much fun as you! Walk a few blocks and you have all the conveniences of a most friendly and quaint town center. Restaurants, a movie theater, coffee shop, health food and grocery stores, pizza place, post office, art studios...you'll find it all within walking distance. Walk just a block further and make your way down to Strawberry Creek. And of course there are walks and hikes and mountain biking trails all close by. Tahquitz Peak, Lilly Rock, Suicide Rock. There's a Ranger Station just a few blocks down the road for hiking tips or you can check out the nature center as well for trail guides. There is Fulmor Lake to play in or fish, or rent a boat on Hemet Lake just a 15 minute drive. So much to explore in this beautiful enclave! The house has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds. The attic is carpeted and comfy for kids to play in. There are some fun board games downstairs. And lots of videos too which you can watch on the tv up in the attic while you lounge on a beanbag chair... This is our fairly new home away from home, so it's still a bit of a work in progress.. But nevertheless, it is equipped with the basics and it's a comfortable and lovely spot for low maintenance types who are content with the simple things in life! (i.e. no cable tv...though we do now have internet service!) We want to be as flexible as possible with our check in/out times as well, and if we don't have other guests checking in or out we are happy to accommodate early check-in times and late check outs! But in certain circumstances we will need to adhere to our 3PM check in and 12PM check out times...Thank you!! (During the Holidays we generally stick to a three day minimum stay. We do consider one night rentals, but generally we don't book those far in advance. If your trip is over a week away, we usually ask for a two night minimum, but if it's coming up soon and our place is available we're happy to rent for one night! Thanks for understanding!) The NeighborhoodWe love that we can walk to town! We are so close to the shops and restaurants, yet still immersed in nature. Other Things to NoteWe have a "strict" cancellation policy because "moderate" is a little too moderate! We would prefer an option somewhere in between those two... If you cancel two weeks before your trip we are okay with that, just not 5 days! (as in the "moderate" option) We do consider every case individually and if we are able to rebook we are happy to refund. Thank you for understanding!

The SpaceThis home is 4 miles north of the Village of Idyllwild off of Hwy 243. A bright green sign with the Street name Fosteriyah is on the right hand side of Hwy, turn there and this is the only home on that street. If you enjoy nature and the mountains, you will love this room I have for you. Our home is in the middle of a forest with a vast view, a lake near by, mountain trails to explore, a quaint village to check out, decks on which you can read and enjoy the nature around you, sip coffee, relax or take beautiful pictures to enjoy latter. Crickets will lull you to sleep and your king size bed is so comfortable you will be tempted to sleep all day, but you can't because of all the "mountain things" you will want to do. Before your day begins, you will have a continental breakfast to get your started. Guest AccessThe guests have access to their own private deck off their bedroom with only the forest to enjoy looking at. Guests have their own private bathroom. You may possibly see a deer scampering by. A private loft off the bedroom with endless views. Trail heads for walking within walking distance if you enjoy hiking. Also, you do not need to bring bottled water to drink unless you want the convenience of it because our water is from a Spring feed source and is delicious. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy visiting with our guests to get to know them and understand what they enjoy doing so we can better guide them if they choose, or if they want privacy, that can be done with ease also. The NeighborhoodWe enjoy the wilderness and natural surroundings of our home. We have neighbors, but you can't see them. The sky is so bright at night, the stars twinkle beautifully. Off the decks you can see the city lights off in the distance. Sometimes the cloud cover covers the lower altitude but we can have bright sunshine in the mountains. We have been told it is a million dollar view. Getting AroundYou have to provide your own transportation. Other Things to NoteThe village of Idyllwild is a small place with many interesting little shops in it. It has many forms of art all over it. The people are friendly, there are many churches to choose from if you want to go to any, there are some excellent restaurants and some just average. I will let you know the good ones. Many evenings the Art Institute will be presenting very good productions you are invited to as their guests for free.
