Hill: For the adventurous, take a walk up our hill to play on the tire swing, or sit out on the hilltop, enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee with views of city lights. On a clear night, at around 9:30pm you can see the Disneyland fireworks off in the distance from the hilltop.
Charging: Our garage will likely be locked, but if you're driving a Tesla, we can arrange for you to use our HPWC charger for free. ️️
House Rules: No pets, no loud parties outdoors, no crazy parties indoors. :-). My place is good for couples, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. Guest AccessYou can access: both floors, all 5 bedrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, dining room, pool/hot tub, back/side yard, hilltop. Basically everything but the garage. (Plenty of parking left on driveway and in front of the house.) Interaction with GuestsWe'll usually be gone when you're staying at our house, but have family and friends living nearby if you need help, and I'm always available via Airbnb messaging, phone, etc. The NeighborhoodIt's a quiet, private, upscale neighborhood. It's centrally located to LA, Orange County, Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, airports, etc. Grocery store right around the corner. There are some great nearby restaurants. El Cholo is our favorite, just a 3 min drive from the house, great Mexican food and margaritas, perfect family environment. For something more upscale, but also very close, a few doors down from El Cholo is "The Cat and the Custard Cup." Downtown Brea is 10-15 minutes away, and offers good casual dining (Yard House, TAPS, and more). The BEST RAMEN you will ever have is a 10 minute drive away, at Yukino Ya Ramen (cash only). Yes, it's better than the Ramen in LA. Dine in or carry out. Try the tonkatsu ramen, or hot tan-tan if you prefer it spicy! Great Vietnamese phở is available at Olivia's Bistro, 10 minutes from the house. And of course an untold number of amazing restaurants 30-45 min away in the LA area. There are also some unique gems in Uptown Whittier (20 min away), try Phlight if you're in that area (tapas & wine). Getting AroundYou are in LA, you will need a car. :-) Uber/Lyft do operate in the area, and are the most convenient option for a night out. Theoretically you could walk to McDonald's or El Cholo from our house, they are one mile away (20 min walk). You can also reach the grocery store, Stater Brothers, on foot if needed (1 mile). Other Things to NoteTesla charging available at no charge. Let me know a few days before you arrive if you will want access to it, so that I can make arrangements for you to access our garage.
