The SpaceYour inner sanctum has luxury in mind with its spacious and comfortable queen bed, selection of either down or foam pillows, en suite bathroom, private access to the balcony, large walk-in closet, and your own Netflix-ready TV/VCR/DVD.
I love to cook, so the kitchen is well appointed. To get you started, whip up your own morning cappuccino, juice your favorite fruit/veggie, or select a quick k-cup. Help yourself to breakfast cereals and fruit, and I've provided eggs, bacon, and toast in the fridge for your arrival for you to cook up if you prefer. My guest book lists local groceries where you can stock up when that runs out. Guest AccessWhen I’m around we’ll share the clean, cozy, and pet-free living room, kitchen, den, balcony, and den powder room. Consider my home your boutique hotel in a bedroom community. I have beach towels at the ready if you want to sun bath on the balcony chaise, drive to the beach and hit the sand, or lounge by the community pool and Jacuzzi. My dedicated carport is yours during your stay. And you’re welcome to borrow my mountain bike. I have a washer/dryer for your convenience, and ironing board/iron to help you look your best. The upstairs loft and bathroom is my domain and unavailable. Interaction with GuestsI can recommend local eateries and pubs, as well as suggest any number of nearby attractions and entertainment. Consider me your own private concierge for my local knowledge, but I’ll let you arrange for your own tickets or reservations. If you prefer to be left to your own devices, I’m happy to give you your space. The NeighborhoodBorrow my mountain bike and explore the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park only 2.2 miles away with access to excellent hiking and mountain biking and fitness trails, or stroll around or rent a boat and fish the lake at the Laguna Niguel Regional Park less than a mile from your front door. Even closer, run down the street to our local fitness trail after work to decompress, then come back home for a quick swim and a Jaccuzi.
My guest book contains listings of local eateries, gastro pubs, and food shops, such as where to get the cheapest produce, or the most convenient. Trader Joes, Sprouts, and Wholefoods brand grocers are all a short drive nearby, and you can walk to the local supermarket. Getting AroundYou’re only a 20 minute drive from John Wayne Airport (SNA). There is a public bus stop a few blocks from the house, but having a car while in Orange County is the best option. Uber/Lyft/taxi service is readily available and car rental locations are all over and close by. There’s a dedicated carport just for you, with quick easy access to freeways and public transportation.
You’ll be centrally located 15 minutes from Laguna Beach, with its seven-mile stretch of sand, surf, shops and restaurants, or to Dana Point with its quaint and picturesque maritime harbor and very own tall ship, and ferry to Catalina Island. Only 10 minutes to San Juan Capistrano and its famous historic mission, a mere 25 minutes from the intimate seaside oasis that is Newport Beach, or over to Costa Mesa with its world class shopping and performing arts center. Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, and Legoland are each just 45 minutes away. Local spots for sports fans/concert goers: Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, Angel Stadium, The Anaheim Pond, The Coachhouse, The House of Blues, Petco Park. One hour either way gets you, north to Los Angeles, or south to San Diego. You are truly at the heart of it all. Other Things to NoteI live on a second story, so mobility is required, but the view is quite nice. I charge a cleaning fee, and my cleaning service uses only natural products.
