Sip your morning coffee outside in the nice bistro set as you smell the wonderful scent of the lavender. Then settle down after a long day of activities in the comfort of your Home away from Home. Your guesthouse is in a great neighborhood location of Long Beach. Restaurants and Shopping are walking and short distances by car. The newly remodeled Long Beach Airport is just down the street. Literally! Attractions like Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific... are about a 20 minute drive each. Beaches can easily be reached by car or public transportation, which is nearby. You can take a brisk walk or quick bike ride to one of the biggest regional park in the county, El Dorado Regional Park, where you can indulge in a variety of outdoor activities. Have a picnic by the pond, go fishing, run a mile or three, or bike around as if you are in Le Tour de Long Beach. The Nature Center is also a great destination for the nature enthusiast. Golf courses abound and you are three freeways accessible. Public transportation is around the corner. Newly decorated 1 br. 1 ba in an excellent area of Long Beach. WIFI provided.  Kitchen includes a new stove/oven and refrigerator.  Cookware, utensils, dishes, and microwave also supplied.  Both bedroom and living room have HDTV flat screens.  The bedroom boast a comfortable Queen bed with pillow top mattress dressed in soft coordinated bedding.  The entire guesthouse offers plenty of storage and mirrors.  A skylight in the living room creates a nice warm ambience to the living room especially in the late afternoon.  Relax in a soft microfiber sofa that converts into bed and is partnered with an oversized chair that also reclines for more sleeping options.  Easy access to public transportation.  Shopping within walking distance.  Movie theaters, shopping centers, restaurants -- all are a short drive away.  Clean nice beaches, offering a variety of water sports activities are close. Tourist spots like the Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific can be reached easily by car or bus.  The Long Beach airport is less than 5 minutes away, while John Wayne and LAX each are about 20 minutes by freeway .  Universities are also close, like Cal State Long Beach and UC Irvine.  LA tourist attractions like Universal Studio, Nokia Center, Rodeo Drive, Venice Beach, Malibu, etc... can be reached by car between 30 minutes to 1 hour.  Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are 20 minutes from the house on street.  Orange County beaches and South Coast Plaza Shopping Center again easily accessible.  San Diego attractions like Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Legoland, etc...all within a 2 hour drive.  For a completely different experience, an overnight stay in Catalina Island which can be reached by express boat in an hour, is suggested.

Stay in my beautiful home just 7 minute drive from the beach in a VERY safe and quite neighborhood. -The Room- -You are renting a room in a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house. The room is about 400 sqft, and has one set of window and a slider glass door which leads you to an indoor patio, lots of light! or just with a click down the sun block shade will come down and you won't even know what time it is lol you have your attach private large bathroom, (no sharing, all yours) clean towels, shampoo and soap every 5 days we change the linen and towels or every time our guests leaves, we have the room professionally clean , we travel very often and this is the bedroom that we would like to find when we travel; a wonderful bed!!!! immaculate clean room, and if we want privacy we have it ,you have your own entrance with access to small patio- besides the indoor patio- there is a barbeque and if you want to read and have your fresh coffee this is a great spot .Parking by request, the bedroom has an indoor patio and there is a microwave and a small refrigerator, coffee machine and several breakfast items, there is a portable AC in case it gets hot by July or August The Neighborhood- - Walking distance to gym they let you work out for a fee, Starbucks, Grounds coffee shop has great cappuccino, pastas delicious breakfast croissants and bagels , sandwiches from subway, different banks, four grocery stores like fresh and easy , stater brothers and vitamin city sells only certified organic food, restaurant “super Mex” from breakfast to dinner , juice bar , “Jon’s “ is fast food, Chinese food, Japanese restaurant . Also you can drive 10 minutes or bike 30 minutes and arrive to 2nd Street ,(Belmont Shores) once you are there you will find all in walking distance, Naples island canals, kayaking, gondola rides, great shopping and restaurants. Is my favorite place you can stay there all afternoon ! -5 mins CSULB campus - 20 minutes from Long Beach Airport via public transportation. - This place is near Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, close to Orange County beaches (Huntington Beach, Newport Beach). - Close to bike path to take you either north (to downtown Long Beach and Queen Mary) or south (to Orange County). - Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance - Belmont Pier is 12 minutes driving and 30 by bike and with new ferry service stop that takes you downtown or to the Queen Mary. About us : Ed my husband and I we know all of Los Angeles like the back of my hand and can provide guidance for places to see, restaurants, and hikes or bike routes in the area. Amenities You may be able to rent the scooter is insured, or use one of the bikes , if we can figure out a way to protect me in the event of theft. all transportation routes including red line to downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood. There is high-speed internet service in the house as well as a wireless network. Bring your computer or use one of mine! So, to sum up Positives--Very Safe Quite Neighborhood, Close to Restaurants and Shops, Close to Beach and Bike Path, computer in your room and high speed internet, expert on LA if you need it. Close to the beaches of Orange County. Close to Irvine if you are here on Business. The beach we are closest Bay shore, Mothers beach, the Peninsula on Ocean Blvd. with great bike paths along Ocean Blvd with restaurants along the way you can get to Pine Square and Shore line Village and stay all day ...walking , lots of shops, restaurants all this in your bike , we do it all the time and love it Negatives--Public transportation in LA sucks. It will take you some time to get to Hollywood, and Universal Studios. But you can always use the subway which is 5 miles from home and get to any of those places in 35 minutes. Airbnb does not have an official screening process for members, and though we're sure most members are pretty awesome, it is still the internet! The SpaceThe uniqueness of this space is, ironically enough, the space. Walk into the home and the first thing that strikes you is the massive expanse that is the Living Room, Kitchen and Dining Room (and don't forget about the Shagadelic Loft). With an equally impressive backyard and a newly renovated private bathroom, this place has something for everyone. Oh, and did I mention the 324" Projection Wall? Besides that, enjoy in-home entertainment as if you were out, with my cinematic Projection Wall, connected to an AppleTV and a PlayStation 4! Your privacy and satisfaction are most important to me. I do have my own room and bathroom, so I can be completely out of the way if needed. As I'm not in the house much to begin with, if you're looking for Entire House options, let me know. My neighborhood is just right for me, hope you like it as well. It's very similar to my childhood neighborhood as it's quiet, friendly, peaceful and has many surrounding businesses all within walking distance. If you're into running or biking, I can guide you to a few parks and trails nearby. Freeway access is unbelievably convenient and Long Beach has a ton to offer...been here for about 3 years and love it. If you like Thai food, I'm of the belief the best Thai restaurant is a just over a mile away! Close to the 405 and 605 freeways, you'll be able to get where you need to be quickly. If you're into Public Transportation (like myself), there are bus stops a softball's throw away and the Blue Metro Line and Green Metro Line are both nearby too. Ubers are usually about 6 min away. :) There's an Irish Bar stumbling distance across the street. The SpaceWelcome to Lakewood, Tree City U.S.A.! This is our one bedroom detached guest house with a full kitchen and bath. The bedroom has one full size bed. The mattress is a 13" Night Therapy Deluxe Euro Box Top. There is a private patio off of the bedroom suite for your exclusive use as well as a large wood/gas burning fireplace in the living area. If you are traveling with more than two people I have a twin or queen size inflatable Intex deluxe bed for your use if need be. Just let me know when booking so I can set it up before you arrive. We are in a quiet, safe neighborhood with off street parking. Our guest house is stocked with everything you need to cook your meals while visiting. There are plenty of extra blankets, sheets and towels. You will have access to a washer and dryer (in the garage) for your convenience. There are several parks and trails that run along the riverbed within walking distance from our house. If your a jogger/runner the river trail will take you to the beach (8 miles, one way). We are close to all major freeways. Located just off of the 605 freeway. 25 minute commute (traffic permitting) to Los Angeles and Orange County. Great for business travelers! Less than 10 minutes via surface streets to Cal State Long Beach and Long Beach City College. Great for Students! Nearby attractions: Long Beach Aquarium, Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach Arena, Naples Canals, Sunset and Seal Beach, Catalina Island, Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland just to name a few. Public Transit: A car is strongly recommended if you plan on visiting anywhere outside of Long Beach. That being said there is a bus stop at at Del Amo Blvd (1/2 mile walk) that will take you to The Del Amo Station where you can catch the Metro Blue Line train to the Red, Green, Gold or Purple trains depending on where you want to go. *I use (website hidden)maps App* 10 minutes from Long Beach Airport 30 minutes to LAX (via 105 Freeway) During the week check-in is after 4:00pm. The key that opens the driveway gate ALSO opens the guesthouse entry door. We ask the guests to please NOT slam the gate door as a courtesy to the front house residents. Feel free to reach out with questions, recommendations, or directions, I am happy to accommodate. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is very family friendly, safe, and quiet. It has a residential suburban feel where you can walk to the grocery store, churches, restaurants, parks. It is located close to restaurants and shopping. Access to the freeways is very convenient. Guests will feel as if they are living in a nice residential area of their hometown. Getting Around•Long Beach Transit bus stop is on the corner Woodruff/Wardlow Road. •Metro train to Los Angeles proper connects to Long Beach Transit. •Metro station is 15 minutes by car. You can leave your car in the Parking Lot. •Long Beach airport is less than 5 minutes away using Wardlow Road. •LAX is 25 minutes. •Orange County John Wayne airport is 20 minutes. •405, 605, and 91 Freeways are close by. The public transit is very accessible. Bus stops are walking distance to the guesthouse. Parking is off the street, just in front of the main house. From the airport, you can get a shuttle to bring you directly to the guesthouse. It is about 25 minutes to LAX and 20 minutes to Orange County John Wayne airport. The Long Beach airport is about 3-5 minutes away. Three major freeways (405, 605 and the 91) can be reached quickly. Other Things to NoteThere are two LED TVs. There is a Bluetooth WIFI Blue Ray DVR which can be used to view movies, streaming videos, regular TV, internet, etc. An HDMI cable is provided for this feature. The living room TV has DIRECT TV for your viewing pleasure. There are plenty of laundromats within a mile of the guesthouse. You will need plenty of quarters ($.25 cents).

The SpaceWe offer a small guest suite located in the lovely Los Angeles suburb of Lakewood where the streets are tree-lined and the neighborhood feels like a small town. And our home is completely SOLAR POWERED during the day. Private bedroom for 2 & private bath in gay male couple's home. We offer a queen size tempurpedic bed. The room has a microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, tea pot, coffee press, 2 luggage racks, a 42" flat screen tv with cable & mini Tivo. We have free wi-fi & a keyless entry. There is a small library in the room with lots of travel books & maps of the LA area, California & further afield. The room is adjacent to the garden where there is a tranquil water fountain & lovely plants (in season). A very quiet & comfortable place to relax after a long day of sightseeing in one of the world's great cities. We are owned by 2 lovely, very friendly cats that are clean & quiet. Keep this in mind if you are allergic to cats. The cats are not allowed inside the guest suite at any time...even when there are no guests in the suite. There are dozens of really great restaurants nearby & we sometimes have coupons & can recommend our favorites. The weather is beautiful almost year round, we are approximately 7 miles from Pacific ocean beaches. But we highly recommend that our guests have a car as, unfortunately, the public transportation in LA is not as ubiquitous or as efficient as it is in other great cities of the world. You'll save a lot of time by having your own transportation. We are close to just about everything you might want to see in LA but in a place that feels like you're not in the city. You find hospitality, privacy & a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of sightseeing or visiting family or friends. NO "CLEANING FEE"!!! The SpaceI live in a very quiet safe neighborhood. FREE PARKING in my driveway. There is air-conditioning in the rooms. If you are friends traveling together or a large family you will be comfortable here. There are many nice breakfast spots in the area, however, if you prefer to prepare breakfast for your group, I provide breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, bagels and cream cheese, milk, juice, bread, cereal, rice, and of course coffee and tea. The kitchen has a separate section for guests that is well stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware including rice cooker and crock pot . Refrigerator, pantry and living-room access . There is also a backyard deck with table and chairs a bar-b-cue and fire pit if you would like to cook outside and enjoy a meal and a drink. One room has a real pillow top mattress queen bed and a twin air mattress, three windows, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The second room has a real pillow top mattress full bed and a real twin mattress trundle bed and air conditioning. Each room also has a flat screen TV with local channels. Check out my guidebook for sightseeing ideas. Access to Kitchen and Living room and TV with local channels, DVD player and Net flex . Private full bathroom is only for your group, there will be no other Airbnb guests during your stay. I live in the home but I have my own large room with my own bathroom and separate entrance. I pretty much make myself invisible except to enter kitchen from the back to provide fresh morning coffee and continental breakfast if you wish. You will have total privacy. Very quiet safe neighborhood 5 minutes from Long Beach airport and walking distance from shops , restaurants and parks . Home is within two miles of three freeways for ease in travel . Centrally located between Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange County. There is public transportation nearby but it is highly recommended guests rent a car because it will save a lot of time. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the whole house including the kitchen with a fully supplied area just for guests if they wish to prepare meals and also access to the fridge. There is also free parking in my driveway for one automobile. Guests also have access to the back yard deck and barbque if they wish to prepare meals outside. The open deck is enclosed with a small door. Interaction with GuestsHost works full time Monday thru Friday but will always be available by text or phone if any questions or concerns. Host may not be around much (don't take it personal, I'm a busy lady :D ) and will keep to herself unless she can answer any questions about the stay or the area . The NeighborhoodI love my neighborhood because it is very safe and quiet and I enjoy watching people leisurely walking their dogs. There are many eating places around and two shopping malls within three miles. All the freeways are easy access which is very convenient . House is centrally located with Disneyland, Knotts, Orange County , LA , Hollywood, The Queen Mary and many beaches all within a 20 to 40 minute or less drive. Getting AroundThere are public transit busses and just a short distance away are the rail ways , however LA is not known for having the best public transit so I highly recommend that guests rent a car , it will save tons of time . Other Things to NoteThere is a bar-b-que , table, chairs and a fire pit outside on the backyard deck if guests would like to enjoy a bar-b-que or a drink around the fire.

The SpaceWe own a very comfortable air-conditioned home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a lovely garden and room next to the pool and garden. Children are welcome! It's very similar to my childhood neighborhood as it's quiet, friendly, peaceful and has many surrounding businesses, all within walking distance. I'm also very fortunate to be close to the Convention Center and Downtown Long Beach. Also, if you've never seen Belmont Shore, it's a great walking area for shopping and enjoying food and drink of you choice (and there's a Creamistry there too!). If you're into running or biking, I can guide you to a few parks and trails nearby. My neighborhood is very flat, so a nice run around the "major intersection block" will net you 4+ miles. Freeway access is unbelievably convenient and Long Beach has a ton to offer...been here for about 6 years and love it. You'll be off to Los Angeles or Orange County in no time! If you like Thai food, I'm of the belief the best Thai restaurant is a just over a mile away! There is also a killer Mexican restaurant less than a half mile away!! And, you have to try the Fried Pepperoni Chips at one of our near by Bars!!! Speaking of Bars, there's also an Irish Bar stumbling distance across the street from my Home. Getting AroundClose to the 405 and 605 freeways, you'll be able to get where you need to be quickly. If you're into Public Transportation (like myself), there are bus stops a softball's throw away and the Metro Blue Line and Metro Green Line are both nearby too. I even offer "Tap" Cards for the Metro with complimentary Fare loaded on (URL HIDDEN) get out there on our Public Transportation and go to Santa Monica on me! If you are flying into LAX and wanting to explore the LA area while staying with us, a rental car is advised. We are 20 minutes away from the beach in Long Beach, Second Street, and downtown Long Beach, 45-60 minutes away from LAX airport and downtown LA. ** Traffic is something you want to keep in mind. Coming to our home from LA or LAX can take double the time if you are driving in peak hours (Which is between 3pm and 6pm). Other Things to NoteWe have a dog that will bark at you when you arrive and enter the house, but she is FRIENDLY... just protective of the home and us. All she will do is bark and let you know this is her home... her name is Whidbey though, and she is a sweetheart. Please be careful not to let her out as you come and go, she's our baby.

    The SpaceThis beautiful Mid Century two story home features 4 bedrooms with two single beds in each (can be pushed together for a king). When you enter, you will see the floating stairs that lead to the second story. The large living room with its openness and wall of glass invites you to hang out on the large couches with the beautiful Cadovious shelves with books to enjoy. The dining area has a Saarinen Tulip table set up with Breuer chairs and in the kitchen you find an original mid-century GE wall hung refrigerator/freezer, GE stovetop and oven in a beautiful turquoise color. All in working order. The living area also features a nice big fireplace. There is no A/C in this house (only a wall hung A/C unit in one of the bedrooms), but floor fans are placed in all rooms. The backyard is a perfect space to relax and enjoy a nice book under the shading tree. Parking is available on the driveway next to the house. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire house. The upstairs "patio" is unfortunately not safe for hanging out on yet. We are in the process of reinforcing it. The places that are off limits are the garage and work shop in the back. I can attend to most any of your needs relatively quickly and efficiently this way. The NeighborhoodWe hope you like this neighborhood. It is quiet, friendly, and peaceful. Freeway access is very convenient and Long Beach has so much to offer. Lakewood Mall is just 5 minutes away and has anything you would need. Getting AroundLocated only 15 minutes away from downtown Long Beach, you are close to the Long Beach Grand Prix in April! The beautiful beach is only a short 15 minutes drive on surface streets. With a very easy access to the 405 freeway (5 min) and not far from 605 freeway, you'll be able to get where you need to be quickly. Ubers are usually about 5 min away. Long Beach Airport is conveniently located about 7 minutes away. Other Things to NoteWe do not want any parties in this house. This residential neighborhood is very quiet and there should be limited noise after 10 pm. If you stay for more than a few days, please water the indoor plants. Please be courteous to the Neighborhood and Neighbors. Be cautious of the Street Parking Signs. Trash should be put out on the street by the driveway on Tuesday nights. Family members stay in the front house, and in the rear duplex as well. During the better part of the day they are off to school or work. To the left of the house sits a single-family home occupied by a friendly couple and their two adult children. Sometimes the Husband may play his music when cleaning the yard. They may be found barbecuing in the backyard and playing music, but it is always at a respectable volume. During the day the only noise you may hear is the sound of a siren from the fire truck rushing off in the wind. On the weekends you may here children playing outdoors. Sometimes the neighbors to the rear may play music on the weekends. Nothing overly noisy. It's generally a quiet, friendly, and peaceful environment.
