The SpaceI hope you enjoy my vintage, funky, Morro Bay cottage and patio as much as I do.
It is a small shared house, but private with no shared interior areas. The studio has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Two separate bedrooms, each with a comfy queen bed, plenty of pillows, allergy protectors, and soft linens.
The main room is set up like a studio with a queen bed, a small seating area, desk, closet, TV and a kitchen nook. Sorry, no full kitchen. The studio has a mini frig/freezer, microwave, coffee, tea, cream, filtered water, paper dishes, cutlery and a few basic kitchen tools. There is no stove, cook top or kitchen sink, but there is a gas grill on the patio.
The second bedroom is small, but cozy, with a queen bed, two night stands, lamps, TV, small closet.
I offer a Roku player on a 38" wall mount TV in both rooms to access internet TV. I have Netflix, Hulu, Pandora for music, and more. Plenty of movies and options and Free WiFi, however there is no cable TV.
I have off street parking with additional room for a RV or boat! Sorry, no pets. Smoking is permitted outside only. Guest AccessThis is a small cottage that has been divided and is shared with the host, who is often gone, but available when needed. The studio has been securely divided from the rest of the cottage, along with it's own locked, private entry. You feel like you are in your own apartment.
It's set up like a studio with a second bedroom. There can be some noise heard from me if I'm home, like doing dishes, cooking, walking around. I've had no complaints, but I'm usually gone. This studio does not include kitchen access. There is a great patio to relax outside, with a propane BBQ, plenty of seating and a hammock.
The bay and Embarcadero are 3 blocks away. The local theater, coffee shops, restaurants, health food store, post office, thrift stores, pretty much everything is within several blocks. Let the distant fog horn and barking seals lull you to sleep from this cozy, quite, downtown location. Interaction with GuestsI do enjoy the Central Coast lifestyle, so I'm out and about when not at work. I'm around enough for your questions, but gone most of the time so guest have plenty of privacy. The NeighborhoodGreat, central, downtown neighborhood location. Quite, peaceful, from which you can walk almost anywhere. Three short blocks to the Embarcadero, where you can rent a kayak, stand up paddle board, or take a tour to see the beautiful, scenic bay and wildlife.
Lots of great nearby restaurants, small town movie theater, and Farmer's Market every Saturday, are all within walking distance. Be sure to take advantage of the many hiking trails and beaches of Morro Bay, and don't forget our magnificent Morro Rock.
Visit the quaint town of Harmony and Cambria, or head further up the coast to Hearst Castle, Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery or up the coast to Big Sur, all a beautiful scenic drive north.
Stop and visit world class wine tasting throughout San Luis Obispo county or take a wine tasting tour. There is lots to do and see throughout the county! Getting AroundThe cottage is a few blocks to pretty much everything. Take advantage of walking around to visit the bay, restaurants, pubs, shops, thrift stores, antique shops, our hippy, vegan, Shine Cafe and health food store, movie theater, wine tasting, and live music. Public transportation is a few blocks away, along with Uber service to explore the county. Other Things to NoteWe are in a severe drought, so I respectfully remind everyone to take quick showers, use your towels more than once, and don't expect sheets to be washed or changed, unless you are staying longer than one week. I really appreciate your cooperation, and please recycle.
