Within half a mile are several restaurants, including Mexican, Indian, a deli, Lebanese, Italian, pizza, donuts, and Subway. Guest AccessComplex has tennis courts, pool, two hot tubs, gym with sauna, and paddle tennis court. Interaction with GuestsI check in, usually via email, when guests first arrive and, for long stays, every week or so, just to make sure everything is to their liking. The only other time I would contact the guest is if I'm alerted to a problem by security or a neighbor. The NeighborhoodPlaya del Rey is one of the safest neighborhoods in Los Angeles and is still considered the best-kept secret among the beach towns. But secrets don't keep long, and with new trendy businesses like gastropub The Tripel and Mexican lounge Cinco, the area is becoming increasingly popular. Getting AroundBus lines run on Manchester Boulevard, three blocks away. The Culver City Metro station, which will take you downtown, to USC, and elsewhere, is less than 7 miles away. The SpaceThe apartment is a 3 bedroom one bath with a big living room, kitchen, and balcony off the back deck. We have big comfortable couch with Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Go all hooked up. Have all cooking materials you'd need as well as grill and fire pit on the back deck. Roommates are between 26 - 30 and all travel consistently for work as video editors and a moustache salesmen respectively. Guest AccessYou will have access to one of the 3 rooms which are all about the same in size and comfort as well as access to the bathroom, kitchen, dining room table, living room area, and back patio (unless the room leading to the patio is occupied). Interaction with GuestsFor the most part, at least one of the roommates should be around and we are all happy to socialize if that's what you're looking for. The living room area is 4/20 friendly and the apartment is NOT suitable for children. Relatively mellow during the week, but like to have some drinks on the weekend. The NeighborhoodSimply put, Playa Del Rey rocks. It's a sleepy little beach town with laid back people, great food options, and a variety of bars within walking distance including a whisky bar, wine bar, gastro pub, and a number of dive bars. If you're looking for a big night out - suggest a quick trip up to Venice/Santa Monica or down to Manhattan Beach/Hermosa, but if you're looking to experience everything the west side has to offer, you've found the right place. Getting AroundWe're right next to the bus stop, but honestly Uber and Lyft are cheap enough that strongly recommend using those as your form of transportation. There's ample street parking in the neighborhood if you do end up renting a car and depending on when you visit may be able to provide bikes as well. Other Things to NoteWifi is available and all rooms have a desk in them if you need to do work. That said, we are not "professional" AirBnB hosts and guests looking for a hotel quality experience should look elsewhere. We have a fun, enjoyable experience to offer that for the right person at the right price will be a great fit on both sides, but if you consider yourself high maintenance would prefer that you don't book our home.

We live close by so are always available for any questions or problems should they arise. The NeighborhoodPlaya del Rey is a sleepy little beach community known for it’s solitude and ‘small town’ feel. A hidden gem and favorite for L.A. locals since it hasn't changed much in the last 30 years. The beaches never get crowded and there are very few tourists, so if you are looking for a great quiet and family oriented area, you've found your retreat! Getting AroundWe recommend the use of a car to experience all the closeby L.A. attractions. Lyft and Uber are also gaining popularity and more reasonable than a taxi in most cases. This bright, spacious home is within walking distance of the beach in beautiful and quiet Playa del Rey and sleeps up to 8. It's also within walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. It's filled with everything that a family might need, from a fully equipped nursery with a glider and padded changing table to a professional espresso machine for a morning pick-me-up. The open plan living and dining area features elegant formal living and dining rooms for entertaining and a separate family room for catching up on Saturday morning cartoons. Parents can pack light – the gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and gorgeous wooden cabinetry provides every gadget a home cook could wish for. A short drive from all of Los Angeles' best attractions, it's a tranquil space in the heart of the city. Great for walking/running/cycling with easy access to the beachside bike path. Easy access to freeways means that you can be anywhere in Los Angeles very quickly. The house is very secure with a front gate, where the doorbell is. After you enter the front gate, you head down a beautiful path, through a courtyard (complete with fountain and table where we love to have morning coffee) toward the front door of the house. The hardwood floors on the ground floor were just refinished in November of 2014 and are beautiful. The ground floor consists of a gourmet kitchen with double oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, four-burner range, granite counter tops, butler's pantry and lots of cabinet space. There is a formal dining room and a light-filled living room. The family room has couches and a television with surround sound. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, large walk-in closet, and granite master bath with separate shower and bath. One of the bedrooms is set up as a home office, but has a closet and could be used as a regular bedroom. The other two bedrooms are set up as kids rooms; one with a crib and changing table, the other with a twin-sized bed. There is another full bath upstairs with twin sinks, and separate shower and bath tub. The back yard is large, very private, and well landscaped. There is some great lighting for nighttime entertaining. There is a gas grill on the back deck, and a smoker, for those so inclined. You will not have access to the garage, but there is enough space in the driveway for three cars, and there is plenty of street parking. Playa del Rey is a quiet and peaceful beachside community in Los Angeles, with lots of green space and public parks. It feels far removed from the hustle and bustle, but it has quick access to the freeways, so you're downtown, in Santa Monica, or in Beverly Hills in just a few minutes.

The SpaceThis is a two-level town home nestled on a calm street with beach front views. The highlighting feature of this house is the gigantic wall of windows that faces out to the ocean. On the first level sits the master bedroom and bathroom, along with one other bedroom. The dinning, living and kitchen areas also sit on the first floor with exquisite views. Continuing with the breezy beach architecture, the third loft bedroom sits at the top of the stairs, along with a covered, but open entertainment area equipped with stainless steel grill. Guest AccessGuests will have full access to this home. Interaction with GuestsBest Nest prides itself on our personal check-in services. We will greet you with keys upon your arrival, and once we've shown you around the property, we can be as available or hidden as you wish. Always feel free to ask for concierge services if you are unsure of what to do in the area. The NeighborhoodPlaya Del Rey is the local's alternative to the touristy beaches of Venice and Santa Monica. It's got a suburban vibe to it- neighborhoods with nice houses and apartments adjacent to little restaurants, bars and cafes. With activities in no short supply, you can do anything from watching the boats head out of Marina Del Rey or Venice beach. All this while being a stones throw from the airport and a quick car ride to the more chaotic Venice and Santa Monica areas. Getting AroundThis home is great because of the sheer number of things you can walk to. With handy paths that stretch down to the beach as well as over to Marina Del Rey, you'll want to stretch your legs while taking in the scenery and ocean breeze when you stay in Playa. If you don't have a car, it is totally possible to localize your entire vacation within the Playa Del Rey area, only needing quick taxi/uber/lyft drives to certain activities.
