The SpaceKearney House is a classic Craftsman-style home, built in 1904, and is the perfect in-town Wine Country get-away for up to six guests. After 20 years operating as the Cinnamon Bear B&B the house was converted back to a private home in 2003 and underwent a complete renovation. Hosts Jim and Tracy, live on-site. The private guest suite, located on the second floor, features three comfortable guest rooms each with a queen bed and full en suite bath. The basic booking includes two rooms - you can have the third guest room for an additional $115 per person (up to a max of two additional - the suite comfortably handles six guests). Guests have full access to the kitchen, living room, parlor, laundry room and the inviting wrap-around porch as well as the back yard with gas grill and fire pit in season. Located just two blocks from downtown St. Helena "Napa Valley's Main Street", the listing is perfect for guests who want to explore Wine Country by day then come back, park their car at the house and stroll into town for shopping, enjoy drinks and dinner or catch a movie at the Cameo Cinema. This is a "private room/shared space" Airbnb configuration so while Tracy and I (and Lenny our house dog) do live in the home, we make use of the full on-site apartment during guest stays. As you will see from reviews, the three story layout of the home offers extensive privacy so guests can spread out and enjoy the whole house pretty much on your own. You have the best of a hosted "private room/shared space" stay complete with assistance on planning your Napa Valley visit and attractive pricing coupled with the space and privacy a "whole house" rental right in the heart of Napa Valley. Hard to beat! Guests are welcomed with a chilled bottle of wine in the refrigerator and during local citrus season fresh orange juice from fruit trees on the property. Local Hotel taxes of 14% (TOT +TID) are included in the room price published on Airbnb - you will not be charged additional taxes as the hosts pay them directly to the City of St. Helena from room rental proceeds. (About $70 of the $500 nightly rate is going to the City - important to know when comparing pricing to local Inns and Hotels that charge the TOT/TID on top of posted rates). SH Short-term Rental Permit #2013-30. Please note, St. Helena has a strict short-term/vacation rental ordinance and violators are being fined and shut down. Be sure to stay with a permitted host to protect your travel plans! All legal rentals are required to post permit numbers on their booking site. Guest AccessGuests have full access to Kitchen, Laundry, Library/Living and Dining rooms inside and Wrap-around Front Porch and Dining area and Grill outdoors. Notes - this historical home was built in 1904 and all access is via stairs. Front door is accessed via a 10 stair raiser and all three guest rooms are on the second floor of the home. The house is also home to our small dog, Lenny, who has full run of the place. Travelers with pet allergies are not recommended. We keep him in our apartment during your stay but he does like to greet guests and hang out with you on the porch in the afternoon if you let him! Just a short walk from 'downtown' St. Helena where you can enjoy world class restaurants, wine tastings and great shopping. Main Street is also Highway 29, the main road through Napa Valley and the location of many wonderful wineries. Getting AroundWalk to Main Street in St. Helena and around the area. A car is required to easily get to the surrounding towns of Napa, Yountville and Calistoga. Ample street parking around our house. The Vine is the only public bus service and routes and times are limited. Evans Airport Shuttle is best option from SFO or Oakland Airport and then $40 cab ride up Valley from the Napa Bus terminal. Uber operates in Napa Valley with ample cars. Pricing is comparable to posted taxi fares. Other Things to NoteThis house is listed on the County Historic inventory and was built as a wedding present for it's original owners, Walter Metzner and Susan Smith in 1904. Walter was Mayor of St. Helena twice and Susan's family opened and operated St. Helena' first pharmacy, Smith's. Photographs of the Metzner and Smith families as well as images of Kearney House in the early 1900s are displayed in the home. Each guest room is stocked with Napa Valley travel guides as well as many books detailing the history of our region and St. Helena.

The SpaceWelcome to a lovely vacation home located in the heart of the Napa Valley - St. Helena, California. Maison Bleu is a great getaway for all seasons and just a 10 minute walk to downtown shops and restaurants. There is a house stereo setup, with CD player & audio input for an iPod or other device. We do not have cable, but we have a 21" monitor with numerous DVD's to satisfy a multitude of film viewers. U-Verse wireless internet is strong throughout the house. An access code is provided upon your arrival. 5 Bedrooms/3 Bathrooms and sleeps up to 10 guests with all linens and towels provided. 1 California King bedroom ,1 Queen bedroom, 1 Full bedroom, 2 bedrooms with 2 twins in each room. This property can also host small rehearsals, receptions, catered parties or barbecues during the day for up to 25 guests for an additional surcharge upon owner’s approval. The SpaceWe named the house "Preservation House" because our focus has been to restore rather than modernize or remodel, both inside and out. Except for upgrades important for safety, like electrical service, kitchen ventilation, and fire protection, keeping the house's historic and authentic features is our goal. The house is 1,400 square feet and centers around an open livingroom-diningroom space with historic knotty pine walls and ceilings, in the tradition of a 1928 lodge. A large hearth with a woodburning stove adds to the cozy, intimate feeling of the livingroom, and both rooms are furnished with a mix of comfortable contemporary seating and period antiques and artwork. The woodburning stove is NOT operable because of fire restrictions in Napa Valley. We have cable internet, Roku-box viewing but not cable tv. WiFi is also provided.The kitchen has a large refrigerator and historic gas stove that works beautifully (no microwave). A covered porch off the kitchen is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee (i.e. Peet's coffee provided) and as a place to unwind in the evening. In the vernacular Italian building tradition, the house's downstairs bathroom is accessible through the covered outdoor porch rather than through an interior entrance; it's a utilitarian, full bathroom. According to a historian of vernacular architecture, Arne Alanen, Prof. Emeritus, U. of Wisc., many Italians thought it was unsanitary for a bathroom to open into the first story kitchen and living spaces directly. Both the upstairs bathroom and downstairs bathroom have a shower and the upstairs bathroom also has a tub. As throughout the house, the bathrooms feature authentic historic elements rather than remodelled features. The house has three bedrooms with large operable windows, some with screens. There are box fans in each bedroom but no air conditioning. One bedroom has a king-sized, another has a queen-size, and the third bedroom has two twin-size beds. Upstairs there are softwood floors and an exterior entrance from the upstairs landing to the oak woodlands behind the house. Although we try to abate poison oak on the property, it is a native plant. Please be cautious of poison oak on the property. Guest AccessIt would be hard to find a property in Napa Valley more centrally located to the very best wineries, historic downtowns (i.e. St. Helena & Calistoga), or more bike-accessible than this property. Silverado Trail is the backbone connecting the finest wineries in the Valley and has continuous bike lanes. The house has the privacy of oak woodlands and vinyards, the Napa River Wildlife Refuge and historic Pratt Ave. Bridge while still being a quick walk, bike, or drive into historic downtown St. Helena - (website hidden) There are great bike rental options in St. Helena. Interaction with GuestsWe want to give our guests the privacy to enjoy eachother. We will be onsite to meet you if at all possible and if not will make clear plans with you to make sure you have the key and other necessities. We also will be onsite for landscaping work including watering and for other chores. The NeighborhoodOur property borders the Napa River (see aerial photo) and is in large part within the Napa River Wildlife Reserve. To the northeast the property is backed up to the Vaca Mountains and to the southwest is bounded by the Napa River and opens to the vinyards where several of the worlds finest wines are made in the Apellation St. Helena. During the busiest hours of the day, there is traffice noise from Silverado Trail at the house but as evening comes the greatest sound is crickets and frogs by the river, abundant bird-life, and almost no light pollution to hide the stars. Getting AroundWalk or bike to town or local wineries. Of course, you can also drive. The Vine is Napa Valley's excellent bus service that runs up and down Highway 29; more on that here: (website hidden) Other Things to NoteDownstairs stays cool if you leave the doors and windows closed in the summer. Upstairs box fans will help to cool the bedrooms, especially after sunset.

The SpaceBeautiful cottage in the heart of the Napa Valley. Steps from downtown restaurants, shops, movie theatre, and wineries. Enjoy all the famed Napa Valley wine country has to offer. Choose to spend the day tasting at some of the world's premier wineries or visit the shops of St. Helena, Yountville, Calistoga, Napa, as well as Napa Outlet Center. Upon returning home, relax under the majestic oak tree in the spacious and relaxing backyard while deciding whether to visit one of Napa County's many wonderful restaurants, or whether to prepare dinner at home. End the day enjoying your vineyard finds in front of the outdoor fireplace. A short walk to downtown shopping, grocery stores, world famous restaurants and wineries. Calendar is not kept up to date so please message me first to inquire about availability 5% of rental proceeds are donated to a non profit dog rescue organization, Waggin' Trails Rescue Foundation, that rescues dogs in danger of euthanasia.

The SpaceThis house was originally built in 1881, we bought it in 2010 and renovated it in 2012. It has been a fun project and now we are excited to share it with guests! It is one block from main street in the heart of Saint Helena. It was renovated this year with all new appliances, bathrooms and kitchen. We have central heat and air both upstairs and downstairs. There are two bedrooms upstairs, with bathrooms attached with walk in carrara marble showers. The third bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed, bathroom attached with a jet tub and shower. Our newly renovated kitchen has an 8 burner gas range stove with griddle, copper apron sink, butcher block island, all new stainless steel appliances including dishwasher. We have a family room with a 40 inch television and couches to fit at least 8 people. We have a formal dining room that seats up to 8 comfortably. We also have a laundry/mud room. Our porch lines our entire front yard and has rocker chairs and tables for your enjoyment. We recently planted a vineyard in the front full of cabernet sauvingon and merlot grapes! Guest AccessThe best part of this house is its charm. It was built in 1880 and has stood the test of time. We have spent the last two years making it a comfortable, cozy fun place to be. This house is only one block from main street where everything is in St. Helena, making it a blast to stay at. Interaction with GuestsWe are available for guests, we live within 10 minutes if anything arises during their stay that they need. The NeighborhoodThis neighborhood is incredibly safe and fun, making it a perfect place to own a home. It is close enough to downtown that you can literally park your car and never use it again, but at night the street becomes very sleepy to ensure a good nights sleep! Getting AroundWe bought this home because of the distance to main street. We love being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops and not worry about driving. Other Things to NoteWe accept 2 night minimums Monday-Thursday- weekends are a 3 night minimum stay.

The main house opens to the parlor, reminiscent of a Parisian tea salon, the breakfast room with a full bay window and garden room follows. The open and airy kitchen opens to a high vaulted ceiling and Lodgey family room anchored by a beautiful fireplace. The Inn has four stunning suites beckoning visitors. Everyone room has a full luxurious bathroom; some of the rooms also feature a fireplace and a private outdoor balcony/deck. Guests will sleep comfortably sound on Custom French Wing styled beds upholstered in Belgian linen from Restoration Hardware in all the rooms. Studded with Lots of large windows, the airy and open feel of the Inn exudes romance of the surrounding gardens and vineyards. The best of all is our generous farm fresh breakfast. To start, organic vegetables are picked fresh from the Inn’s garden and European egg frittatas are served along with fresh ground coffee and fresh baked pastries from the owner’s bakery. A choice of their own organic jam is offered from large mason jars, and assorted seasonal fruits are picked from their orchard, sliced and served along side. Bakers, chefs, Gardeners, Inn keepers, check all 4 boxes, being a guest here, you will benefit from all of the above. Walking across is not for the faint of heart, but countless people run and bike along the shoulder with no problem. Once you walk across the highway, you are a 15 minute walk to downtown. If you choose NOT to drive, you would have to walk across the highway (55 speed limit) to get to Main St in St Helena. Walking across is not for the faint of heart, but countless people run and bike along the shoulder with no problem. Once you walk across the highway, you are a 15 minute WALK to downtown. Or you can choose to drive 2 minutes to get downtown as well. Other Things to NoteThe house can sleep 4 comfortably in the two queen beds in each bedroom.     The SpaceBuilt and 1934 and lovingly restored, this is the perfect home base for your wine tasting vacation. Within a few miles, you'll find world famous wineries like Duckhorn, Viader, Markham, St Clement, and countless others. Our home offers two good-sized queen bedrooms, recently outfitted with higher end linens (like Pottery Barn). Brand new hardwood floors span through the living/dining area, into the bedrooms and kitchen. With two queen beds, one full bath, and a sectional sofa, you'll fit 4-5 guests comfortably. The kitchen has a gas stove top, new farmhouse sink, and all of the amenities you'd expect in a higher end kitchen (including an industrial size Kitchen Aid mixer). The sunny breakfast nook is the perfect place to relax over a cup of coffee in the morning (send someone out for Model Bakery English muffins!) or game of cards at the end of the day. The whole home is accessible, with the exception of the attic bedroom (beyond a locked door) and the storage basement. There are handicap accessible ramps to both the front and back doors, however the shower is not wheelchair accessible. There is a washer / dryer located in a laundry room off the kitchen for your convenience. We will be readily available via mobile phone or text, likely 1.5 hours away at our residence in San Francisco. The proximity to both downtown St Helena and Calistoga is fantastic - - not to mention being 1/2 mile from wineries like Duckhorn, which is a favorite place to taste wine (you have to check out the tastings they do on their back porch!) The neighborhood is unique in that it feels as if you're in the middle of the countryside, but you're so close to everything. The street is quiet and you won't hear the road noise from Silverado Trail (although we're right off of it) or Highway 29 like other Napa properties experience. The driveway could park 3-4 cars easily (in tandem). There is no real public transport in the area, but the wine train is fun :) The property is fully fenced and has a flat, paved driveway which is perfect for small children riding bikes or scooters. We can provide booster seats, high chairs and/or a Pack n Play, upon request. We also have a child-sized Pottery Barn kids table in the open living area that seats 4+. The outdoor space is our favorite part of the house with backyard views or vines and room to eat outdoors and relax. There's a firepit and large outdoor table under a shade structure with fun outdoor string lights that look beautiful at night. The house contains 3 bedrooms all with queen beds and a bonus room located outside of the house that has a daybed and trundle bed. There's a bar area with a wine fridge and a fully furnished kitchen. The location of this house can't be beat as it is less than a mile from downtown Saint Helena and restaurants, shopping and wine tasting. 2 bikes are available for your use in the garage.

It boasts a tastefully furnished 700 square foot wrap around covered porch great for coffee and the morning paper and of course perfect for relaxing in the afternoon and evening with a glass of wine. It has two bedrooms complete with their own private bathrooms. The house has a fully equipped kitchen that includes a large pantry housing wine coolers and plenty of wine storage. There is a seperate dining area off the kitchen for more formal dining. The living room is a comfortable place to curl up and watch television or a movie, and when it's chilly there's a beautiful gas fireplace to enjoy. The farmhouse also has a fully equipped laundry room with a washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and plenty of storage.           The SpaceTake notice: It's amazing that there are over 600 listings on AIRBNB for our small town. Be sure to rent only a legal rental if you wish to protect your vacation. There are only 21 licensed in Saint Helena, Napa Valley. The city is being vigilant and shutting down illegal rentals daily. You can have piece of mind renting our home for this reason. We have had many people come to view our home prior to renting, and our home ends up the choice of every occasion. It is a gorgeous 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home, with a designer kitchen, high ceilings, granite and French limestone touches. The home is also a one story living space, with the only stairs to the entrance and backyard. Although the listing says "minimum 1 night" we require a 3 to 4 night booking. We want to be available in all searches. Apologies for any confusion. Note: In May we will consider 3 nights at a reduced rate. Guest AccessOutside we have an 'al fresco' dining area next to a koi pond with a trickling brook containing fish and our pet turtle 'Fred'. Here you will also find an outside gas fireplace and spa jacuzzi. We have planting boxes filled with fresh herbs, tomatoes, etc. You can pick cherries, lemons, oranges, pomegranates, apples and pears from our garden depending on what time of year you are here. When you leave, you really feel like you've been in the Wine Country. Getting AroundLocation, location, location. Walk a couple of blocks to Main Street St. Helena where you will find a diverse selection of fantastic restaurants and shops. You can walk 2-3 blocks into town, or borrow our bicycles to get around. Several wineries and wine tasting shops are also within walking distance. Napa, Youtville, Sonoma, and Calistoga are just minutes away by car, train, or bus. Come and Enjoy!
