They have a full bar, salad bar, gluten free pizza and, of course, regular pizza. They also have fun activities for the kids like Wii night and movies and trivia contests. Dining – The Lodge Restaurant is in Tahoe Donner next to the Trout Creek Rec Center, at the golf course, offers elegant dining along with bar service.
There are two sushi bars in the town of Truckee; The Drunken Monkey and Maki Ali Sushi. I understand that they are both excellent. We go to Maki Ali Sushi, which is more for the locals and less fancy. Zano’s Pizzeria is very decent too and now has gluten free pizza also. Wild Cherries is good for a quick cup of coffee and an egg sandwich (gluten-free options also) on the way to the other slopes. Smokey’s is great if you like BBQ and beer.
Groceries – There is a small market next to the Lodge and the Trout Creek Rec facility called – Z Market. It is good for last minute items. During the summer, Z Market has a barbecue set up for BBQ sandwiches to order. There is a Safeway, Starbucks and a Rite Aid in the strip mall just down the street on Donner Pass Road.
