The SpaceThis quiet cabin is surrounded by tall trees and has a seasonal brook running through the front yard area. What makes it so unique is that it FEELS like being way out in the country but it is within easy walking or biking distance from most of the highlights of Buena Vista - from Arkansas River to parks and downtown dining all of which are comfortably close. Yet this is an extremely quiet and secluded area - It's like living in your own private forest in the middle of a small town that grew up around it. If you haven't experienced the unique community that is Buena Vista in the Heart of the Rocky Mountains - you need to go soon. This quaint "one-stop-light" town has deer walking through it constantly. There are several creeks flowing through the town and ponds and lakes nearby. It's become a mecca for River Rafters, Kayakers, Hikers & Bikers and is known for being the "Heart" of Colorado. The trails for mountain biking and hiking along the Arkansas River are wonderful and Kayaking and raft trips are world class. Take a short drive up Cottonwood canyon to the top of the pass for spectacular sunset views or go just 8 miles south SW up Chalk Creek Canyon to scenic Alpine and St. Elmo - Historic old Gold Rush Towns to get a flavor of the real Colorado of yesteryear. Enjoy the Hot Springs at Mt Princeton or Cottonwood - both are located on those most scenic byways and open year round. Be sure to stop by and see our Friends, Owen & Cathy Lentz who own and run "The Book Nook" nearby - they'll usually give you coffee & cookies when they're open & have lots of cool info. Our cabin has a picnic table out front to enjoy and includes use of a Charcoal BBQ - the Furnishings are Antiques to give you a real feel of being in a 100 Yr old "Modernized" Log Cabin. Beds and Sleeping: One Pine Log Queen size bed Bathroom: 1 bathroom: shower, sink & toilet Heat: Gas heat Appliances: TV/VCR, stereo, Microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, & toaster

If you want to purchase unlimited internet it is $10/gig. We're dog friendly but please be aware that dogs are not to be left unattended in the home while guests are out. We're dog friendly but please be aware that dogs are not to be left unattended in the home while guests are out. We understand that there are activities that are not suited to our pups, but they can also become disoriented and perhaps engage in abnormal behavior while you are gone. We also ask that your dogs do not find the furniture comfy and that those who are used to sleeping with you not be allowed on the bedding in the home, as a courtesy to the next guest and to keep our comforters clean. We also require that guests pick up after their dogs; if the housekeeper has to do it she'll impose a stiff charge for this which will be deducted from deposit. Also please be advised that although we are child-friendly, there are two ponds, a hot tub, a creek and several smaller streams on the property and within toddler-range.
