The SpaceHistoric mountain home built in 1868. Formerly an Episcopal Parsonage, this home has old world charm combined with modern conveniences. Relax in the backyard and enjoy a gorgeous mountain view or take a two minute walk to Georgetown's historic main street where you can shop and dine. You will be a stones throw from Guanella Pass (US Route 285) and only a short drive from Loveland's ski area. The perfect mountain getaway for couples, families and friends! Georgetown is a quiet little town that comes alive many weekends of the year as celebrations and events are planned by local groups. The neighborhood and downtown 3 blocks away are a walk back in time with a feel and look of the late 1800s! Our home is a spacious place with two large common rooms and a well equipped kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. One bathroom is new with a Victorian tub and the master bath has been updated. Our neighborhood is the oldest most established in Georgetown with beautiful Victorian style homes surrounding us. The locals and neighbors are delightful and very welcoming. The Parsonage was used recently by Cinemount Studios in Denver as the backdrop for scenes from a film, For the Living, due out the end of 2015! We strongly recommend a short 2 minute walk to Downtown on 6th street to take in the Georgetown experience. shops and restaurants abound! There are many things to do in and around Georgetown. The hiking and mountain biking is phenomenal. Fish in Clear Creek or Town Lake. Go up to the Continental Divide! Take a ride on the train from Georgetown to Silver Plume and back and visit the old gold mine! Ice fish or watch the Jeep Races on the frozen lake! Georgetown has festivals, races and events throughout the year that are celebrations this great little town. Guest AccessThe entire property is available to our guests. Interaction with GuestsI am available but will not see guests during their stay. The NeighborhoodOur home has gone through some significant updating to add to its comfort. However, we were careful to hold onto the character and Georgetown 'feel'! There is not another home in Georgetown that combines the town history and modern day comforts like ours. From internet, cable and appliances to turn of the century floors, wall coverings and ambiance! All tucked in the most historical section of Georgetown. Awesome! Come and make memories! Getting AroundGeorgetown is small enough you can walk to most points of interest. Downtown shopping and dining is a 3 minute walk. The park and playground 10 minutes. Other Things to NoteThe house is tucked in a valley and surrounded by the Rocky Mountains on all sides -- Perfect! Scenes from a movie being produced by Cinemount Studios in Denver were recently filmed at the parsonage. The movie, For the Living, should be out end of 2015 or early 2016!

Our cute little condo in Georgetown is a great little, cozy hide-away with one bedroom with king bed, loft with trundle and futon, and sofa in living room. Partially stocked kitchen - you bring your own drinks, food. Cable tv and wireless internet. Top (third) floor, so no footsteps overhead. :-) Quiet location, easy access to/from I-70. Georgetown is a quaint little mountain town with cute shops downtown and a couple of nice eateries, but with limited nightlife. Closest ski/snowboard mountain is Loveland, about 15 minutes west. Ice fishing and ice races on Georgetown Lake. See rates posted. $50 cleaning fee + tax. $200 refundable security deposit. Two nights minimum rental. Check in 3 PM or later; Check out 11 AM or earlier. Near I-70 ski corridor; easy access. About 15 miles east of the Eisenhower tunnel and Loveland Ski Valley. About 45 miles west of Denver. Georgetown is a quiet mountain town - don't expect to find 5 star restaurants nor crazy nightlife. But, there are some eateries, and some small bars. We recommend stopping at a grocery store in Denver or Idaho Springs to purchase food for your eat-in meals, as groceries are very sparse in Georgetown. If you prefer fishing, Georgetown Lake is about 100 yards away from the condo. Drive through Georgetown and up the mountains to Guanella Pass for a scenic drive with views of 14,000 ft. peaks. Take a ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad ((website: hidden)) for some great scenery and history. The condo is on the top (3rd) floor. Be advised that there are no elevators, so please plan accordingly.

This three bedroom house has enough room to sleep up to 10 people. The kitchen is a fully functional with the basic utensils needed to make breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a microwave, stove and fridge. Pots and pans are in the cabinets as well as dishes and silverware. Each of the three bedrooms has a queen sized bed. The loft has a full size futon and a shelf wih games and puzzles. There is wifi and a roku with netflix as well as a blue ray however we do not have cable. We are in town and in walking distance to a few places in town to get a meal or a beverage. You could also drive to 6th street in about 2 or 3 minutes and check out more places to shop and eat. Loveland ski area is just up the road. There are trails nearby for hikers or snowshoeing. Rafting and zip lines are nearby. Mining tours and train rides are also an option. Shops are on 6th street and have some pretty cool stuff. You can find more shopping in Idaho Springs. If you go up loveland pass you will find Arapahoe Basin, another ski area. If you go past the A Basin ski area you will get to Keystone, another ski area. You can choose to take I-70 to Summit County and find some more shopping and restaurants. If you have little ones there is a park in Georgetown off of Rose Street that my kids love. There is also a smaller park just behind the house called triangle park. If you missed something at the grocery store in Idaho Springs there is a dollar store in Georgetown that might have what you need. You are in walking distance from a saloon, coffee shop, and other restaurants if you want to walk. The trails along the creek will take you to the lake which is a nice walk. You can go fly fishing on the creek or fishing in the lake. There is an information center right before the roundabout that can point you in the direction of anywhere you want to go or what you can do nearby. My family's favorite places are the ice cream/candy shop and the rock shop. We also enjoy the rafting but that is not for the very little ones. The train ride was fun and can be for all ages.

Don't forget to tour the Phoenix gold mine on the Clear Creek frontage road just 10 miles east of Georgetown. There's more... golf, snow shoeing, nordic skiing, brewery hopping, antiquing, art galleries, horseback riding and more. Ask us about your interests and we'll point you in the right direction with everything just minutes from your door. Nightlife, après ski or otherwise, is big in Georgetown. In addition to the Alpine, you may want to grab a few drinks at Lucia's (which also serves Mexican food) and is situated along 6th Street which is in the oldest part of Georgetown but still walking distance from the Spot. Troia's italian restaurant and the Eurogrill have awesome food and decent wines. There is also a liquor store, a marijuana dispensary, and a grocery store less than 2 blocks away. Since you can walk to everything is Georgetown, have a great time! Location, location, location... Georgetown provides easy access to so much of what Colorado is famous for and is less than an hour's drive from Denver or Vail! You will love the small town feel and friendly locals. The mountains tower all around you here and your life becomes simpler. Getting AroundOur driveway can park 4 cars. Please confine your parking to our driveway. The best way to get around Georgetown is to walk. The Greenway trail is right next to the Clear Creek - essentially in our front yard. Funding has been announced to improve the trail over the next few years. Other Things to NoteThere is a washer and dryer as well as iron and ironing board in the chalet for your use.

Guest AccessWe are renting the entire condo. Interaction with GuestsSomeone will be available by phone during your entire stay and should respond within an 30 minutes or less. The NeighborhoodGeorgetown is nestled in between some of the most majestic peaks in the State, which of course means endless trails to pedal & climb, slopes to ski, streams to fish, raft & paddle, ride a train, shop, relive history, enjoy accommodations to relax in, and eat in some of the finest restaurants around. Make Georgetown your base while skiing this winter. We're only minutes away from world class ski areas. Georgetown has managed to keep its Victorian charm with many homes and buildings rich in this architectural style. We offer a variety of unique shops, boutiques, restaurants, and overnight accommodations owned by individuals who also enjoy this beautiful mountain setting. Remember, you can't see Georgetown from the highway, take the Georgetown exit 228 from Interstate 70, turn right at the 4-way stop, and drive on down to town only a minute away. Guanella Pass Scenic and Historic Byway provides a refreshing auto trip, bike ride or hike along a 23-mile alpine route in the Pike and Arapaho National Forests. The Byway is accessible in less than an hour either from U.S. Highway 285 in the town of Grant, or off Interstate 70 at the Georgetown exit-#226. The road is now entirely paved, though large RVs are not recommended on this mountain byway. Please drive SLOWLY as many people prefer to bike or hike this spectacular area. A great hike, x-country ski, bike or jeeping road is the old Argentine Central Railroad bed. This road starts approximately 2.5 miles off of Guanella Pass road, taking you westbound to the top of Mt. McClellan. From the top, look directly at Grays and Torrey's peaks, two more of Colorado's fourteeners. There are extensive backcountry trails leading from the summit of the pass through the Mount Evans Wilderness Area and Geneva Basin. From the summit, it is possible to take a day hike up nearby Mount Bierstadt (14,060 feet) or Square Top Mountain. In the winter, many of the hiking routes turn into backcountry cross-country ski trails. By mid-September, the Guanella Pass Scenic & Historic Byway is one of the premier places to view the turning of the aspens. Along the 23-mile route, you'll see swaths of quaking, shimmering leaves creating golden waves along the mountainsides. This Scenic & Historic Byway, however, is equally spectacular throughout the year. Early in the summer tiny alpine flowers cover the ground. These hardy plants, often less than an inch high and smaller than a dime, can take 100 years to grow and have to withstand intense solar radiation, freezing temperatures and constant, punishing winds. Later in the season, Geneva Park is home to fields of blue columbines, Colorado's state flower. The Waldorf cutoff just outside of Georgetown eventually meets the abandoned Argentine Central Railway Bed. This 16-mile narrow-gauge railway, known as the "Stairway to the Stars," was built in 1905 by Edward Wilcox to access his mines on Mount McClellan. It passed through Waldorf and terminated in a mining tunnel called the Ice Palace, which was filled with ice formations and was a popular tourist attraction. The road is awesome for mountain biking and hiking! Trout fishing is a favorite pastime in Clear Lake, South Clear Creek and Duck Creek. There are five campgrounds and two picnic areas along the Byway maintained by the U.S. Forest Service. Residents and visitors alike are reminded of the fragile nature of the Guanella Pass Scenic & Historic Byway. Wildlife and vegetation are precious to us all and respect for this environment will ensure its fruitful nature and survival for future generations to enjoy. Georgetown offers much for the visitor to experience. This is a wonderful, small, victorian town with plenty to do and see. From galleries, ice cream parlors and gift shops, to the interesting history that put Georgetown on the Map. Please come visit! For over 30-years, the Georgetown Loop Railroad, Inc. has run the Georgetown Loop. We look forward to having you as our guest and we hope to see you soon. Other Things to NotePLEASE NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE THE PERSON BOOKING THE CONDO BE 25 YEARS OR OLDER. WE ALSO REQUIRE A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT PRIOR TO YOUR STAY.
