The SpaceYour 11x11 private bedroom has a window, a double bed with cotton sheets, nightstands, reading lamps, alarm clock, ceiling fan. A trunk holds your suitcases, with dresser, closet, and two chairs to hold more. Your private bath has cotton towels, hand-held shower, nightlight. large sinktop to spread out your toiletries. Your room holds one or two adults. Room for a travel crib-- babies/toddlers welcome. Airbed in next room for 1 or 2 older children. No tv but lots of quiet. Comes with a hot breakfast every morning! Guest AccessBeyond your room & bath, enjoy lounging in the living room & dining room, and go into the kitchen for filtered water, ice, tea, coffee. You can enjoy the screened back porch for daydreaming in the hammock, eating breakfast, sipping a glass of wine, or eating take-out. After a bicycle ride, relax on the comfy living room sofa. Parking in driveway. Wifi but no cable tv in house. Laptops welcome on dining room table. Barefoot house, slippers provided as wanted. Use the outdoor shower to get the sand off & out of your bathing suit, if you didn't find a bathhouse at the beach.... Key to front door so you can come and go as you please. Interaction with GuestsThis is my home, and I sleep at the far end of the house, so you have privacy. If you need anything, just knock on my door. I'm glad to chat when you wish. . The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet single-family residential neighborhood with lots of trees and greenery, plus small private park on Red Mill Pond. One mile from DE Route 1, only 4 miles to Lewes, 10 miles to Rehoboth Beach, less than 40 miles to Dover. Many gourmet & family restaurants in Milton, Rehoboth & Lewes. Close to Dogfish Head Brewery, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware Seashore State Park. Also close to Tanger Outlets for shopping.The "Rehoboth Foodie" writes a wonderful local blog/restaurant review column on the (EMAIL HIDDEN) Getting AroundNo public transportation, so you must come in a car. You can borrow my Sussex county map & I'll help with suggestions & directions. There are several web-enabled local taxi services for nights on the town, and Uber has finally arrived. Other Things to NoteTwo cats live here, and they are curious. One is very friendly.
Garbage is now collected at 7:45am on Tuesday mornings.
Please NO sandy feet or bathing suits inside the house. Please rinse sand off at the outdoor shower (cold) on the side of the garage.
