    The SpaceHistoric 130 year old house with beautiful hardwood floors, tall ceilings, three story staircase and modern bathrooms. The entire third floor suite is yours, with a queen size bed, table and chairs, dresser, rocking chair and lots of natural light. The suite has a twin bed plus two roll-away beds are available for children or extra guests. The master bathroom is very spacious, even includes a washer and dryer! I ALSO RENT OUT TWO BEDROOMS ON THE SECOND FLOOR with full size beds and private hall baths. (Listed on AirBnB under "Short Walk to Downtown..."). I reside in the master bedroom on the second floor where my office and sitting room are located. The kitchen, dining room & living room on the first floor are always open and available to my guests. Guest AccessThe first floor of the house is always open. I enjoy sharing a meal, cocktails or a glass of wine with guests from time to time. I'm convenient to our outstanding selection of cultural and historic attractions including Winterthur, the Nemours Mansion & Garden, Hagley and the beautiful Brandywine Valley as well as Rt. 95 (three blocks from entrance/exit), Amtrak and buses. If you have business meetings or are starting a new job in downtown Wilmington, you can walk there, take public transportation within a few blocks of my house or we'll figure out another approach. I offer recommendations for local unique cafes and restaurants. There is a friendly cat in the house. I work from home so I have a lot of flexibility.     The SpaceThe home is located in a beautiful, quiet, tree filled neighborhood. It is about 100 years old and has an open floor plan, wood floors, exposed brick and stone walls. The bedroom and ensuite private bathroom are both large. A deck off the bedroom allows you to sit and relax under an awning. The bathroom features a soaking tub and double sinks. Great water pressure! Very close to Winterthur, Hegley and Delaware Art Museums. Also Brandywine River Art Museum and Longwood Gardens. Check in time is flexible with advanced notice. Guest AccessGuest have use of common areas including a small garden patio area, living room (with gas fireplace, skylights, vaulted ceilings), kitchen and dining room. Parking is available in a private lot. Home is equipped with blazing fast high speed wireless internet, Comcast cable TV and AppleTV with Hulu and Netflix subscription. Amazon Echo will answer questions on demand (Weather, etc) or play music. Washer / Dryer is also available for guest use. Breakfast is self serve... usually an assortment of yogurt, fresh fruit and granola along with French Press coffee and OJ. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is filled with stately homes and tree lined streets. Rockford Park is beautiful (with public tennis courts and I can let you borrow my racquets). Brandywine Park is majestic following the course of the Brandywine Creek with small waterfalls and magnificent cliffs. The Delaware Museum is one block from my home and has a lovely sculpture garden open to the public. The museum is free on Thursdays and Saturdays. Within a few miles there are other museums such as the Hagley, Winterthur, Delaware Natural History Museum, Brandywine River Art Museum and of course Longwood Gardens. The Zoo is also a 10 minute walk from my home. Kennett Square PA is also close by and hosts a Mushroom Festival. Historic New Castle is also close by. Trolley Square is a vibrant upscale area a few blocks away where outdoor cafes, taverns and craft beer bars abound. Downtown Wilmington / Business district is 1.5 miles. The Historic Queen Theater has live music. The riverfront area there has a river taxi, a number of restaurants and brewpubs as well as a scenic walking trail and nature area. Bottom line, for a place so close to the city center it is amazingly serene and calm. Getting AroundThe home is located just a mile from I95. Wilmington Amtrak about 2 miles away. I'm happy to pick you up or drop you off there. Philadelphia International Airport is 21 miles away. Inexpensive bus options to DC/NYC are available from GoToBus, Peter Pan and others. Other Things to NoteDelaware has no sales tax so if you are planning big purchase its a great place to shop.

    The SpaceMy three story, 100 year home, is located in the Triangle Neighborhood of Wilmington. It is within walking distance to the Brandywine Park and River, as well as the Brandywine Zoo. Wonderful array of restaurants and pubs are a very short distance away. The suite is located on the third floor, with a private bath, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and cook top. Amenities, as in shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, soap, and toothpaste/brush, hair dryer, iron and steamer are all available. You will be greeted by my very friendly cat, Mitts. Getting AroundUnder a block to local buses to Wilmington and the Amtrak Station; other local bus lines to Rt. 202/Concord Pike, to shopping, restaurants, and the mall are 2 1/2 blocks away. Amtrak station, a 8-10 min. ride, provides transportation to all points North and South, via Amrak, or points North to Philadelphia via local rail line, SEPTA. Wilmington is central to New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Shore Points, Lancaster County, and the Poconos. Other Things to NoteComplimentary laundry service will be provided. About the park: You'll be staying two blocks from the eastern edge of picturesque Brandywine Park. Walk through the mile-long free public park which runs along both sides of the river and offers 178 acres of walking paths, gardens and footbridges. You’ll encounter stands of Japanese cherry trees, formal gardens, noted sculpture and architecture and the Brandywine Zoo. Follow wooded trails to Trolley Square and Alapocas Park. Getting AroundCentrally located and easily accessible to major highways (less than a mile to I-95) and shopping/dining on Route 202/Concord Pike (there is NO sales tax in Delaware!). Blocks from DART bus public transit route and just 2 miles from Amtrak/SEPTA station and Greyhound bus station. Only a 20 minute drive from the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Depending upon your arrival time & my schedule, I can pick you up from the bus/train station (no charge) or from the airport (surcharge).     The SpaceOur Charming 1000 square foot condo is located just four minutes from the Wilmington Amtrak/SEPTA station. Nestled in the business district of Wilmington, our location is convenient to the I-95 on and off ramps. Our guests have two dedicated parking spots, all within the building. The apartment is wired for your convenience with a premium xfinity wifi connection; including HBO and On-Demand. There are two bedrooms, the master has its own en-suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has a full bath too, just across the hall. The unit has central air and heat. All bedding, mattresses and linens were purchased in August 2015. Ralph Lauren Pillows, Josie Natori towels and Trina Turk and other designer high-thread count bed linens. The unit is also equipped with cookware, flatware, wine glasses and dishes to accommodate 8 people. Guest AccessOur guests have an all-access pass to our condo. No space is off limits. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions at all. We love hosting! The NeighborhoodOur apartment is located within Trinity Vicinity, which is an historic nook within Wilmington. The houses around us have great charm and speak to the areas history. From our location you can walk to such hot spots as Trolley Square and Market Street. If you are visiting the are on business, you will be able to walk to Capital One, WSFS and also Bank of America from our location. Barclays would be a short 5 minute drive to the Riverfront area. As always, we recommend caution at night and have included details below on how you can safely navigate the city at large. Getting AroundThe city is walkable. Delaware Avenue, Market St. are all within reach. To get to the Riverfront we would recommend a cab. Again, after dark (this is our policy) put yourselves in a cab. While you probably have a car parking is limited in the city. Additionally, as is also best practice, if you intend to imbibe know that Delaware is very strict on drinking and driving. If you know you are going to have a beverage, put yourselves in a car. If you don't have UBER or LYFT apps on your phone, we can give you access codes to receive promotional discounts as our guests. If you would prefer a cab, here is the number to the Yellow Cab in Wilmington (give them extra time to arrive). We recommend UBER or LYFT based on customer service experience, but the choice is yours. You're booking a second floor bedroom with a full size bed, dresser, desk and a private hall bath. On the third floor of the house is a master suite where guests can book the entire third floor to themselves. The suite has a queen size bed plus a single bed along with a spacious master bathroom. The suite can be booked on AirBnB - see Sweet Suite. I also have a private office, bedroom, bathroom and sitting room on the second floor. The kitchen, dining room, living room and powder room on the first floor are open to guests anytime. My house is in the historic Cool Spring neighborhood that's quiet, friendly and a nice 6-7 block walk into center city. I'm convenient to banks, offices, hospitals and court houses as well as Amtrak, SEPTA and buses. Or, visit our outstanding selection of cultural and historic attractions including Winterthur, the Nemours Mansion & Garden, Hagley and the beautiful Brandywine Valley as well as Rt. 95. If you have business meetings or are starting a new job in Wilmington, you can walk there, take public transportation within a few blocks of my house or we'll figure out another approach. I'll give you recommendations for local unique cafes and restaurants. There is a friendly cat in the house. I work from home so I have a lot of flexibility. Must be dog and cat friendly (and human, too) We prefer guests not use the kitchen to cook (vegetarian household) but you may leave things in the fridge if needed. Also, there is Keurig coffee & microwave available for you to use. We both work/school full-time, but one of us is home during the day off and on. The animals are always home! One of us is always available to answer questions via phone or text if not home. Us: a 30-something couple, one works full-time, the other is a full time PhD students. The bedroom is located on the second floor and has its own private bathroom. You will have washer and dryer close by on the second floor as well. On the first floor, there is a furnished living room with a cable TV, a fully equipped kitchen, all to your services (shared with the owner and/or other guests). The bedroom is furnished with a full-size bed, nightstand, writing table, desk chair, and lamps. There is plenty of closet space. The bathroom supplied with necessities (towels, paper, soap). There is a high-speed internet (WiFi), all included. There is plenty of parking in front of the community. There's a super comfortable full sized bed (pillowtop mattress with 3 inch memory foam topper) along with nightstand, bedside lamp, ceiling fan and 5x7 area rug. There is also tons of closet space: hangers provided in 6 ft sliding door closet with rod & shelf above as well as separate 30" wide closet with rod & shelf above. Furthermore, there's built in cabinet storage with countless shelves (excessive, I know!). Shared bathroom on 2nd floor plus powder room on 1st floor . Guest AccessCozy up in your private bedroom with shared hallway bathroom just a short stairway from your door (towels & toiletries provided). Full use of the entire home's common areas - including the living room, eat-in kitchen, dining room & powder room, washer/dryer (detergent provided) & front porch / backyard. 32" TV with plenty of DVDs to watch in living room. Free high speed WiFi access (password provided upon arrival). There is plenty of free street parking available on my block. Free breakfast/anytime snacks are provided - help yourself to the items I typically keep stocked in the fridge/pantry: orange juice, milk, fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, toast, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, pancakes etc. You're welcome to bring your own food items & store them in the fridge. The NeighborhoodNestled in the Triangle Neighborhood of Wilmington, you'll be staying in a quiet, residential area with beautiful homes and landscaping. In the mood for something to eat? Just a short stroll away you have a variety of delicious options. Choose Mikimotos if you want the best sushi place in town. Or visit the Washington Street Ale House for good burgers, etc & a huge on tap beer selection. More of a fine dining person? Visit Domaine Hudson - known for their wine list. Of course the Presto coffee shop is also right there if you just want a latte, smoothie or light snack/sandwich (currently under renovation). About the park: You'll be staying two blocks from the eastern edge of picturesque Brandywine Park. Walk through the mile-long free public park which runs along both sides of the river and offers 178 acres of walking paths, gardens and footbridges. You’ll encounter stands of Japanese cherry trees, formal gardens, noted sculpture and architecture and the Brandywine Zoo. Follow wooded trails to Trolley Square and Alapocas Park. Getting AroundCentrally located and easily accessible to major highways (less than a mile to I-95) and shopping/dining on Route 202/Concord Pike (there is NO sales tax in Delaware!). Blocks from DART bus public transit route and just 2 miles from Amtrak/SEPTA station and Greyhound bus station. Only a 20 minute drive from the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Depending upon your arrival time & my schedule, I can pick you up from the bus/train station (no charge) or from the airport (surcharge). Other Things to Note**I DO have 2 cats & a small dog - during your stay, I may confine them to my personal bedroom. The NeighborhoodCool Spring is a historic area of the City of Wilmington with 100+ year old homes. Our home is unique in that it was built in 1987 and dropped right into the middle of all of our the historic beauties. This provides us with the best of both worlds - new amenities and upgrades but with the added charm of the neighborhood. We are 1 city block away to a beautiful $18 million dollar park for jogging, running or walking. Getting AroundThere is a DART bus stop 1 block from our home to take into and out of the city on a regular basis. The city offers a $1 per ride trolley within a few blocks walking distance to see more of the city if you don't have a car. In addition, downtown Wilmington and Trolley Square are both in walking distance where you can find groceries, cafes and most of the other types of places that you'll need without a car at your disposal. We are also walking distance to two libraries and a taxi ride away from Amtrak and several very nice DE museums. Other Things to NoteThe private space is accessible via the front doors of the home. It does not offer a private entrance nor does it have a lot of windows for natural light. It does offer a very large living space for the money with wireless internet, cable TV and generous accommodations overall.

    The SpaceThis is a private Studio apartment in a Historic District with lots of old world charm and the comforts of a modern day home. Large windows make for a bright sunny space with blinds and curtains for privacy.The kitchen has full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, electric teapot, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils. snacks provided on arrival. Towels and linens are provided. We just removed wall to wall carpet , refinished floors and added new area rugs. Unit is occupied better photos coming in November. Guest AccessYou have full private access to your apartment. Shared access areas are the front porch between 9 am -9pm weekdays and 10 am-10pm weekends. Guests also have access to gas grill next door with notice to host. You must clean grill and area and properly discard any trash/recyclables before leaving the backyard area. The NeighborhoodHistoric Cool Spring/Tiltlandia is a vibrant and welcoming neighborhood rich in history. Our neighbors are fully involved in our neighborhood. We have a an active neighborhood association, 2 parks, and a small coffee shop/gallery in the immediate neighborhood. The University and Whist Club which is up the street was James Tilton's home. Tilton was the first Surgeon General of the US. Getting AroundConvenient to Dart bus system Septa Rail station, I95, route 202, Taxi and Uber are available as well. There are restaurants/bars and convenience stores within walking distance. a variety of take-out is available for delivery. Other Things to NoteParking is on street. There is usually plenty of on street parking in front of the building. Trash and recycling containers are at the side of the building.

The NeighborhoodThis home is just outside of the city limits of Wilmington (5 minute drive- 10 minutes if you hit every light). So it's in close proximity to transportation and access to Philadelphia. There is also a bus line (2 minute walk from home) that takes you to downtown Wilmington that drops you off about 10 blocks from the train station. You can walk it or hire an Uber driver. The home is in a quiet, safe neighborhood with plenty of street parking right outside the house. I do have a two car driveway, but it will be occupied.
