The Bird’s Nest is an attractive top floor studio apartment in the heart of The Palisades Village neighborhood of Washington, DC. A private entrance leads to a beautifully crafted wood spiral staircase and your Washington hideaway. This modern-comfort studio has its own private deck where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine after a day exploring the cultural riches of the city. In addition to a comfortable a queen bed, there is also a step-up sleeping or reading alcove that kid’s love, with an armchair that folds out to a twin bed. The alcove has a sliding door for privacy. The sofa also folds out to a second queen sized bed affording you up to 3 separate beds in the unit. We have 4 apartments in this converted townhome that can accommodate families or parties of up to 13. B.AMENITIES: •Private entrance and private deck. •Washer/dryer in your apartment. •Wall mounted HDTV with cable service. •WIFI. •Full bath with tub. •Coffee maker, mini-fridge and toaster. •Off-street parking space. •½ block from the Metro Bus stop that will take you to The National Mall and most other interesting sights in the city. •A variety of restaurants (some really superb!), Starbucks Coffee, mini-market, pharmacy, banks, post office, cleaners and other conveniences are located on your block. •3 blocks to Battery-Kemble National Park hiking trails and the trail to the Potomac River, C&O Canal and Fletcher's Boathouse! Just 5 blocks from the apartment, in the heart of Palisades Village, you’ll find a marvelous fish market, upscale wine store, a variety of restaurants and gourmet take-out, Sunday Farmer’s Market, Safeway, CVS and community library. •Limitless free cultural options. You are a mere 20 minute drive by car to The National Mall with its memorials, monuments, gardens, open spaces and Smithsonian museums. It’s a also just a 15 minute drive to the Kennedy Center (free performance every night at 6pm!). •An outdoor lover’s paradise close in to the city. The apartment is 2 ½ blocks to Battery-Kemble National Park. The house is a big stone Tudor house with all the charm of history but with the necessary updates to make us comfortable. Alas, children leaving for college have left us with some extra space. A nice room with a private full bath/shower, a bay window with a view of the private side yard, grill, hot tub and fire pit area. Full closet and storage space (a nice empty trunk), desk and an antique full Jenny Lind bed with temperapedic mattresses (sleeps 2). New additions: mini fridge, microwave, keurig machine with 24 beverage selections! You also get access to the backyard and family kitchen. The backyard includes a fire pit, huge picnic table, reclining lawn chairs and a ready-to-cook gas grill. This house is in the best neighborhood in Washington, DC. Quiet, peaceful, pastoral and yet SOOO close to everything. Metro, Buses, Shopping, Dining! Guest AccessUse of the full kitchen, private backyard, hot tub, fire pit and gas grill. Meridian Manor at 16th and U is one of Washington's newest Bed and Breakfasts. Built in 1895, this stately Victorian row house offers 4 bedrooms with private baths, a 2 room suite and a furnished, private entranced apartment. Additional amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, color televisions with cable and a gourmet continental plus breakfast each morning. Guests will find easy access to the city's Metro, a short 3 blocks from the front door, as well as a major bus line, which stops directly in front of the home. We have limited off street parking and welcome children. Advanced reservations require a two night minimum stay for rooms in the B&B and 3 nights in the apartment. Single night reservations when available carry a $20.00 surcharge.

The Ivy Mansion B&B is just 2 blocks from the Dupont Circle metro station on the centrally-connected Red line, and 1 block from the excellent shopping and restaurants on Connecticut Avenue. Embassies, historical houses and gardens; art galleries and Rock Creek Park – DC’s urban forest – are minutes away by foot. The White House and the U.S. Capitol, the Downtown business and entertainment districts, the Convention Center, conference hotels and Smithsonian museums are either a short walk or 2-4 metro stops away. I love my adopted city and am eager to engage with my guests and offer itinerary suggestions. The Uptown House is a 11 bedroom whole house rental that accommodates groups for corporate retreats, wedding parties, family reunions and other groups who want the privacy of an entire boutique style setting. Our first floor has two living areas, large dining areas and two fireplaces. We have four bedrooms on the second floor with private baths, the third floor has four bedrooms and two that share a bath, the basement has two bedrooms with private baths and our gourmet kitchen. The Cottage has a bedroom on the top level with a private bath and a living area on the first floor. We are located on a major thoroughfare in a semi-residential area that has easy transportation to the sites via a bus across the street that runs every seven minutes to downtown or to the Metro (subway) station. We are a newly rebuilt (2013) boutique hostel, situated in Downtown DC, next to Convention Center focused on providing you a great experience for your stay here in DC. Situated a few blocks from famous Dupont Circle and U street night live, as well as shopping centers, food and the metro. Our hours are from 10AM to 10PM. Check-ins outside of those hours are possible, but please contact us with exact time of arrival. Please do this at least 24 hours ahead of time, and your late check-in are not guaranteed unless EXPLICITLY approved by the management. Late fees of $20, or $30 apply. NO CHECK-ins AFTER midnight! No hassles, no hidden costs. No curfew Maximum stay per year is 7 nights for any person. DC Lofty is located on 1333 11th street North West in Washington DC, only 5 minutes walking distance from Convention Center Metro and a bus stop right outside.     Check this place out! Choice neighborhood, great building and beautiful surroundings in the center of D.C. Located on 15th St with a view of the Masonic Temple this location cannot be beat. Experience the city like you live here! This definitely is not a cookie cutter hotel room! The apt is located in the basement of a very large and imposing historic mansion. This charming building stands out from the street as if it owns the city. Don’t let this apt fool you. Even in the basement there are many windows bringing in natural light from the street. Your first steps into the apt revel a large and inviting open living space with plenty of room to kick your feet up and relax after a day of touring the city. The living room features a large flat screen TV with full programming and on demand services from Comcast. Plenty of couch and chair space for a group of up to 8 people to spread out. This house is newly renovated keeping an open floor plan. When you open the front door you will see how spacious and grand this house really is. The plaster molding combined with very high ceilings give the house a special ambiance where the living room is only a third of the space.                                           I believe that everyone who visits the Nations Capital should have an affordable, secure, comfortable, extremely large, beautiful place to stay. It brings me great joy to make this wonderful condo unit available for your staying pleasure. I also believe you should have a private place to say, your own place for a period of time, while you are traveling - just like your home. I really appreciate all of the guests who have stayed with us this past year and they really appreciate the hospitality, the large basement condo suite and how close it is to the attractions. If you want your own place at an affordable price than read on.. This is a very large (1400 SQ feet) beautiful remodeled basement condo that has two bedrooms, each with a full sized bed, one bath, a private living room area, washer/dryer, an eat-in kitchen area, cable TV, and wireless Internet. Wow! It's has two private entrance ways (one in the rear and the other is on the side) so you can come and go as you please - just like your home.. Includes all utilities. Sleeps six people with one person sleeping on the couch and the other sleeping on the sofa bed (in a private living room), the other four would sleep in the two bed rooms. The below ground condo suite is close to the Brookland/CU Metro on the Red line which is the best public transportation system I've seen in a while comparable to other large cities. Now, our Metro system is not perfect by any means, but it is the best of what I've seen based on some other transit systems in large cities in the US and abroad. When using the Metro bus and train it's best to travel during rush hour. Why? Because "mass transit" systems work more efficiently when you are moving a "mass" or large number of people. There are more buses and subway trains running more frequently. It does not work as effectively for the individuals during the day. So travel times to the City center can vary greatly based on when you are traveling. The key is that the Metro system has schedules that can be used to minimize your wait time. The suite is about 1.2 miles to the Brookland/CU metro station, 3 miles to Capitol Hill and 4.5 miles to the White House. Off street parking is available if you are driving. Thank you travelers for making us number one in Washington, DC in the four or more guests category. We really appreciate your appreciation of the condo suite. We also appreciate your feedback on how to make the basement Condo suite even better. So here are some of the things that we have done based on your wonderful suggestions: We have added an electric frying pan so you can cook, in addition to the existing Microwave, George Foreman Grill, egg / omelet grill, toaster oven, and coffee maker. We have also added a HP LaserJet 4 Printer so you can print out your airline boarding pass. We really love the reliable HP LaserJet 4, you will too. The only thing that I can not fix is that for some reason AT&T; cellular phone service is really spotty in the basement. There have been several guest who all have AT&T; cell phone service and their calls go to voice mail. Interestingly, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon work very well. For the young and the young at heart, we have added throwback board games such as Monopoly, Trouble, Battle Ship and a Chess board / pieces. We really like young at hearts. We have installed a garbage disposal, more towel racks in the bathroom and a silent toilet bowel lid - so when your family member or friend closes the lid in the bathroom it won't disturb you or the other guests outside of the bathroom. So a hardy "Thank You" to all the guests who have graced us with your wonderful presence and made super fantastic suggestions. Being number one in one category is great but it is not good enough. We want guest who are traveling either singularly or as couples to be able to enjoy this wonderful suite. Okay, so here is the deal: If you are a single traveler and you want to say in only only one bedroom then send me an email and let's talk about the price. If the basement condo is free then why not talk about it and see what we can work out.
