The SpaceSuch a cute little cottage! The big yard, tall trees and the quiet street are so peaceful, but downtown Dunedin restaurants, waterfront, and baseball stadium are just minutes away by bike- less than a mile to the water, the historic area, the Fenway, shops, the Pinellas bike trail, restaurants, etc. There are several shops and restaurants within three blocks of the house in our more working-class neighborhood just outside the historic downtown. Guest AccessThe whole house is available for guests' private use, along with front and back decks, the carport and a washer/dryer utility space. There is also a big backyard with a tall privacy fence which your kids and dogs will love. Our tiny house on wheels is parked in a separate section of the back yard waiting for us to take it on a trip. We have two bikes, with locks and helmets, for your use as well. There is plenty of parking in the driveway under the oak trees. Interaction with GuestsI am available by email all the time, and my property manager who lives nearby is available by phone at any time, too. We are happy to provide as much information as you need on local things to do. Dunedin is such a great place to visit! The NeighborhoodDunedin has a super-quaint downtown about a mile northwest of the cottage, with tons of great restaurants, and a public marina for sunsets and fishing. The historic Main Street, Fenway Tai Chi Center, public library and the Blue Jays stadium are all less than a mile away to the west, past lots of cute houses, some of which have hilarious mailboxes. In the opposite direction, there is a great Mexican restaurant two blocks away and the best Thai restaurant in town just 4 blocks away! Getting AroundBesides the easy access to Dunedin attractions, there are 2 public bus routes within a few blocks of the house, the Jolly Trolley runs from downtown Dunedin to Clearwater Beach and Tarpon Springs, and it's an easy bike from the house to Honeymoon Island, with a gorgeous beach where you can rent chairs, umbrellas etc. There are several local taxi services and Uber is available too. The cottage is a great base for visiting Tampa, St. Pete, and even Orlando (1 hour 45 minutes away). Other Things to NoteBesides the two bedrooms, one with a king and one with a queen bed, there is a sofa, although not great for an adult, in the living room if someone snores....We provide most everything you'd need for your stay- linens, laundry and dish soap, iron, hairdryer, fully equipped kitchen with china, utensils, pots and pans, basic condiments, sugar, salt, pepper, herbs, spices, a blender, toaster, etc. We provide several days' worth of paper goods and consumables in the kitchen and bath, pretty soaps and shampoos, and a welcome basket with coffee, tea, creamers, granola bars, etc.
We welcome dogs up to 20 lbs (no more than two dogs at a time), and will add an additional $125 pet fee (minimum- more for stays of longer than a week) which is due at arrival by cash (exact amount) or check.
