The SpaceThank you for your interest in our apartment. Over the years we continue to make improvements with remodeling, new furniture and accessories. We we have supplied it with all that you will need for a pleasant stay in our town. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions we have not answered or have not made clear. We do not allow children under the age of 10.
Our apartment will sleep 4 by using the queen sofabed and the queen bed in the private bedroom. The mattress is hotel quality and will provide a good night’s rest after those busy days of visits to area attractions. There is ample storage for clothing in the dresser and chest of drawers in addition to the bedroom closet and the hall closet if needed. A 6 foot window gives lots of light and the newly installed central heat and air will cool you off as you rest under the plush comforter on the new pillow top mattress or warm you up on a chilly winter night.
The bathroom has plenty of towel sets and extra towels are in the bedroom chest of drawers. Sheets for all beds are in the closet and chest of drawers, along with light weight blankets and pillows for each bed. Emergency toiletries are in the bathroom in the event you left home without.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, pots, pans and some extras to make you feel at home in the kitchen. A few food supplies are on hand such as flour, sugar, tea, even some soups and peanut butter to tide you over until you settle in. The stove is gas and we provide a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, and hand mixer.
The dining table seats 6 and has extra lighting above.
More 6 foot windows in the living area provide lots of natural light as well as a nice view of the creek and fruit trees. All of the windows have roll up shades for privacy. The queen sofabed sleeps 2 and air mattresses may be available for use in the sleeping loft (older children or adults only) make it a great place to house 6. The TV has Direct TV with Encore added and a DVD player with some movies provided for your enjoyment.
Off the dining area is a built in computer desk so you can work on your laptop via the internet cable or WIFI if you like. The bookshelf above holds childrens' games and some extra reading material if you run out.
If there is anything missing that would make your stay more comfortable, please let us know so we can do our best to remedy the situation.
Although the bathroom is small, it has a roomy shower, sizable vanity and wall mirror. A small window opens for fresh air and extra ventilation. Done in all black, white and silver, we provide plush white and various colored towels for a dash of color. You will find many "hotel" extras in case you forgot to pack something. The night light outside the door will lead you there safely in the dark.
Our apartment is available by the day, week or month.
This 575 square feet upstairs apartment is so much nicer than a small hotel room AND for a better price. You have a private parking space with a motion light and lighting along the stairway to the private entrance.
The garage is used for storage so you don't have to worry about early morning door openings. We live next door so if there is anything you need, we will do our best to provide it during your stay. We do expect tenants to wash up and put away dishes, put things back where you found them and do light cleaning, but we will follow up with cleaning as needed once you leave. If your stay is longer than a week, we clean only at the end of your stay. We do not provide laundry service until check out, but there are several laudromats close by. Upon leaving please strip the bed and leave the used linens in a pile.
We provide a basket full of maps, travel books, and brochures for use during your stay. Please feel free to add to it. There is also a notebook with information about the apartment, the area and instructions for the heat, air, stove and TV.
We are approx 23 miles from Disney, 5 from Universal, 10 from Sea World, 6 from International Drive, 1 hour to the east coast, 2 hours to the west coast. Our street dead ends into a city park with a playground, basketball and tennis courts. We are 2 miles from a 20 mile bike trail.
We are not in a great area for public transportation. Busses are few and far between. We suggest a car rental for getting around.
Get away from the tourist scene in our town with nice restaurants, great shopping and 2 movie theaters. Non-smokers only and no pets. We will rent for the winter season.
Due to some missing linens we have gone to an inventory list that will be checked as guests leave. Pricing for missing linens will be as follows: Bath towel - $15, Hand towel - $12, Wash cloths - $7, Dish towels - $7 and dish clothes - $3. We provide rags in the closet for shoe cleaning and such that can be left for us to launder and replace. So far we have not missed any sheets, blankets or pillows but we will be watching!!! Guest AccessThere is a park at the end of our street with tennis courts and on the other side of it are basketball courts. There is a large playground area also. We are only a few miles from the West Orange Bike Trail that is a popular place for bikers, roller blading, runners and walkers. Of course we are close to Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World. Busch Gardens is just over an hour away as is the beach area on the east coast. The west coast white sand beaches are about 2 hours.
We have plenty of good shopping and restaurants within a few miles and as you venture further Millinea Mall is a hot spot and the outlets near International Drive and Lake Buena Vista. Interaction with GuestsKerry works full time so is not around much. Kelly works part-time but is gone 4 months during the summer. Both live next door and if guests would like to walk over and meet us we'd love it. We try not to intrude on your vacation time but if you have questions or need anything we are available or someone in our family is. The NeighborhoodIt's very quiet and relaxing but very close to shopping, movies and entertainment. Getting AroundThe public transportation system is not good. It is about 1/2 mile to a bus stop and then you must take it to downtown Orlando to change to a bus for another location. Other Things to NotePlease leave a note or email us if anything needs repaired or replaced so we can make sure our next guest has the same great place to stay as you. We also appreciate comments in our book left on the Baker's rack.
