The SpaceI live in Decatur, Georgia in a three bedroom house. I live on a quiet cuddle-sac that is minutes away from shopping centers, grocery stores (Publix and Kroger), Perimeter College, restaurants, and the interstate. There are hills throughout the neighborhood which are great for running. I am never home much so its a perfect place for someone who doesn't mind quiet time. There's plenty of parking, a full kitchen, den, laundry room, and a large bathroom for use.
My neighborhood is off the Marta bus line so if you need access to public transportation, it is available. Otherwise I suggest using Uber or Lyft to get around. If you are needing to commute to downtown Atlanta, I will be more than happy to show you the most direct route that can put you there in 15 minutes.
My home is literally minutes away from a thriving shopping area that has everything you could ever need. Please see the guidebook for just a glimpse.
My neighbors are all home owners and I know all of them by first name. Guest AccessGuest have access to all common areas. Interaction with GuestsGuest typically see me from time-to-time because I travel weekly. Sometimes more often than not but I am usually available and can be reached easily. The NeighborhoodI live on a quiet cul-de-sac. I know all of my neighbors so you may find them waving at you when you come and go. They know I rent out my home so they know to keep a look out for my tenants. Getting AroundYou may access the Marta bus line just outside the front entrance of the neighborhood. It's a short three minute walk. Other Things to NoteMy home is peaceful. I just ask that you don't smoke, don't blast music (unless you're home alone), and you must agree to notify me and other guests if you will be having guests over. No pop-up visitors please. I cannot stress how important this is to me. A simple text message will do a few hours before. That way there wont be any surprises.
This is my home and for the safety of myself and others in the future, I have to know who is there. Also, I do not permit the use of other bedrooms in the house when they are not being rented. I recently caught a guest having overnight guests in another room that was not authorized. I found it to be most disrespectful because I was out of town at the time. She did not ask for permission and I had to reset the room again (having it cleaned).
If you are a smoker, I do not permit smoking in my home or near the front door. I have a small patio in the back where you are free to partake in cigarettes. Absolutely NO DRUGS of ANY kind.
Guests must pick-up behind themselves and wash dirty dishes or stow them away in the dishwasher until another cycle is ready to be run. If you have long hair that sheds, please make sure to clean the tub drain after use. I leave plenty of cleaning supplies just so the counters can be wiped, mirrors can be cleaned, trashcans can be emptied, and bathrooms can be cleaned. Common areas must be left clutter free at all times.
If you are a long term guests (staying longer than one week), you are expected to provide your own toilet paper and toiletry essentials. I will also clear a shelf in the pantry for your grocery and can goods.
