Atlanta is a large, sprawling metropolitan area located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Everywhere you walk in Atlanta will be uphill or downhill; it requires a lot of stamina, especially on hot, humid days. Even though the apartment location is considered "close-in" you will need to have access to a car -- your own or a rental.
MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) is great for going to and from the Atlanta Airport, as well as going to Midtown, Downtown, the Georgia State Capitol, Centennial Park (near the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, CNN, Philips Arena, the Georgia Dome and the Georgia World Congress Center), Georgia State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. But, MARTA won't get you anywhere else in a timely manner. Plan on having a car! Interaction with GuestsAs a guest you have complete privacy. However, your on-site host is friendly, hospitable, helpful, and usually available 24/7, if needed. Any issues, repairs or other concerns are dealt with promptly.
Even though you are in Atlanta on business, your host can suggest some quick sidetrips to places that say, "Atlanta!" in your collection of travel souvenirs and memories. Just ask! The library of books in the apartment includes "Atlanta Walks" by local authors Helen and Ren Davis.
This is not a vacation property. It was planned for a traveling nurse, a medical or legal intern, an adjunct professor, a CDC professional or other business professional in Atlanta for training or a temporary duty assignment.
