The kitchen and living room (with bay window and ceiling fan) and master bedroom have stunning views of the ocean, Hualalai Mountain and beautiful tropical sunsets. It is decorated throughout with Hawaiian furnishings, rattan furniture and Hawaiian photos. The living room is appointed with a tv, stereo and cd player. There is also a tv in the master bedroom. The condo is well equipped with washer/dryer, beach towels, cooler, etc. The beautifully remodeled kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with dishes, microwave, toaster oven, blender, cooking utensils and everything you will need to prepare meals if you so choose on your vacation. There is a king bed in the master, a double in the second bedroom and a twin/double day bed in the third bedroom which doubles as an office/den. Internet and cable tv are also provided . There are abundant bbqs on site and a very nice heated pool area, tennis courts, play ground facilites and exercise facility 100’ away. You are also welcome to use the Waikoloa Village facilities which include another pool, tennis courts and more. Restaurants, sightseeing and shopping: You are located a short stroll from the Waikoloa Village featuring a large grocery store complete with fresh butcher, deli and bakery, a bank, health food store, restaurants, bars and other shops for your convenience. There are over 20 restaurants located in the Waikoloa Beach area including Roy’s, Merriman’s, Buzz’s Sand Trap, the Sansai Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar and many more. The Dolphin Quest at the Hilton Waikoloa Beach area is also about 10 minutes away with it's restaurants and shopping. You can experience world class shopping at the King and Queens shops of Waikoloa. 15-20 minutes North of Waikoloa is a town called Waimea, or Kamuela, which is home to world famous restaurants, such as Merriman's and Daniel Thiebauts, as well as being home to the famous Parker Ranch Paniolos, or Hawaiian Cowboys. Snorkeling: There are many places to snorkel including 69s Beach or any of the access points along Puako Road which is a short drive away. However if you want outstanding snorkeling, Kahaluu Bay awaits you, which is 7 miles south of Kona. (about a 35 minute drive) Here you will see large numbers of very friendly, colorful fish, and lots of Green Sea Turtles. (you don’t even have to get into the water to see the turtles, just look in the tide pools and on the rocks) If you want the very best, either Kayak or take a snorkel cruise to Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook’s Monument). It is the very best snorkeling I have experienced in the Islands with over 100 feet of visibility. Honaunau Bay (Place of Refuge) is also nearby.               Waikoloa Hale has all the amenities of home plus ocean and mountain views. The master bedroom has a huge attached bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. The guest bedroom has it's own full size bathroom. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and ceiling fans. Special attention has been given to the spa style linens and luxurious bedding. The fully equipped kitchen opens to a spacious great room and dining room. The office through the French Doors has a sofa bed that can sleep one. All the floors are either hardwood, bamboo or tile, no carpeting. There is a covered lanai with a gas BBQ overlooking a tranquil and private yard and water feature. A-Bay, Waialea Bay, and Hapuna Beach are all just a short drive from your "resort". The Poolhouse comes with a solar heated, salt water pool and a gas heated grotto with waterfall. A commercial gas grill is right outside if you feel like cooking and dining next to the pool. All of the amenities of a resort, without the cost. Guests can sometimes catch an exotic fresh fruit smoothie in the mornings and fresh fruit is usually available. This space is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo where the owner occupies one room and travels a lot of the time. Your room has its own private bathroom. This is almost as good as renting your own private condo. No parking fees. Wifi Internet Access Guests gets special treatment when staying in paradise: They get discounted deals on local scuba diving, chiropractic, massage and acupuncture, helicopter rides, and Lava Light Galleries, a gallery where everything is printed on aluminum. Just let the host know in advance what you are interested in. Hawi is 40 minutes north. Waimea is 20 minutes away. Turkeys roam free on the property and you can feed them off the balcony. No parking or resort fee costs, like all of the hotels charge. The Waikoloa market is in walking distance past the golf course, and everything you need is right there. There is a room refrigerator for your convenience and we have snorkeling gear and beach chairs you may borrow as needed. Bike rentals are available at Bike Works Beach and Sport at the Queen's Shops at Waikoloa Beach resort area. We are people people! We love good conversation and are open to evening wine, cocktails and pupu's. We are open to dinner nights when planned. Waikoloa Village is a suburban community with Golf Course and Club House. A 5 mile drive down the hill will take you to the Island's best "World Class" Resort's, Restaurant's, Shops, Art Galleries, and Beaches. Kona International Airport is an easy 25 minute drive down the highway. Kailua-Kona Town is a 35 minute drive. We are centrally located to all other adventures and sight-seeing. We love our neighborhood because it's very safe and quiet, and our neighbors are really nice and respectful of our privacy. Everyone is friendly, and their is enough space between homes so your not looking into someones house, and you have your privacy. Our home is at the end of the cul de sac, and sits our over the bluff with unobstructed views. Best way to get around Waikoloa and the Big Island is a car. There is the Hele on Bus, but I don't recommend it for visitors because they are not large numbers, only a few a day. More restaurants in Kawaihae and Waimea, fine dining and gift shopping at the 5-star resorts of the South Kohala Gold Coast. My favorite restaurant is the Lava Lava Beach Club off Waikoloa Beach Drive. Check out the dolphin pool and snorkel with turtles and tropical fish at the Waikoloa Hilton. Visit the beaches at Hapuna, the Mauna Lani and Mauna Kea Hotels, or the world-famous golf courses just minutes away. Hiking, horseback riding and deep sea fishing are some of the more adventurous activities found locally. The weather is superb: with only 12 inches of annual rainfall and cooling trade-winds, it tends to stay clear, warm and dry. In winter you can even ski on Mauna Kea! Skis available for rent in Waimea, snow quality questionable. Getting AroundA rental car is a must. Free designated parking. 40 minute drive to Kailua-Kona, the local "big city", and just over 1 hour to Hilo via the Saddle Road (route 200) between the majestic peaks of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Our home is just steps from one of two well maintained swimming pools, and Cabana areas. Each pool area includes Jacuzzi, shuffleboard and two barbecue grills with covered eating space. Our condo has all the amenities of home. Two large bedrooms with two bathrooms, living and dining area, and a wonderful lanai complete with wet bar. Remodeled in 2007, the condo includes bamboo hardwood flooring, a comfortable Polynesian style sofa and matching recliners, an entertainment center with TV, DVD player, and a Stereo with CD player. All furnished in a tropical motif. Enjoy your morning Kona coffee on the lanai while checking your email using the FREE WIFI HIGH SPEED INTERNET.                                                                   The Yurt has 1 bedroom with queen size bed; bathroom with shower; also outside shower; living room with double size futon and oversize couch; mini kitchen (no big stove); private deck extending all around the Yurt with chairs, lounges, and patio table; gas BBQ; Cable TV; DVD; WI-FI, Stereo, games, books, total privacy, few neighbors, very romantic and a place to really "kick back" and rejuvenate from life's common stresses. The deck runs completely around the Yurt. There are ocean views and mountain views from every direction. We are a 3 minute drive to the bay at Kealakekua. This is a wild life refuge and to be seen are dolphins, whales, turtles, and many different kinds of fishes. The water is crystal clear and warm. Snorkeling, diving and kayaking are great activities here. The Volcano is a 1 hour drive to the south; main town is 30 minute drive north. Local shops and restaurants a ten minute drive. There are many places to stay in Kona, all very nice, but in most cases you are packed in with other people. The drawing card with the Yurt is its total privacy and unique beauty. This is a very fun place to stay; away from the crowds. If you desire “night life” and noise, this is not for you. Yurt is off by itself and mostly what you hear will be birds singing and the wind in the trees. It comes complete with just about everything you will need, except your own personal items.
