The SpaceOur townhouse is situated in a pocket neighborhood in Nampa, just a few blocks from Saint Alphonsus Hospital and Northwest Nazarene University, and only a couple minutes from the historic downtown area and the Idaho Center. The neighborhood is quiet and eclectic, with homes of different ages and styles lining the cross streets. There are lots of mature trees in the neighborhood and a very nice open grassy community area directly across from the house.
Nampa has a bunch of cute restaurants and shops, a lovely historic downtown area, a couple of nice golf courses, and easy access to both the urban experience of downtown Boise and tons of wilderness options. We are only a few minutes from Lake Lowell, and there are many good wineries in the area if you're into that sort of thing. (We are *definitely* into that sort of thing and would love to offer guidance or recommendations!) There are also loads of hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and other outdoorsy adventures awaiting you.
If you're travelling for business, the neighborhood is close to many of the biggest companies in southern Idaho, so chances are it would be a great place for you to stay and have a much more personal experience than a hotel could ever offer.
If you're driving across across the Pacific Northwest for any reason and need a nice place to rest for a night or two, this is good option for you. We're really close to the Oregon border to the west and less than 6 hours to Jackson, WY to the east. Guest AccessThe whole house is yours to use as you like. The kitchen is well appointed with full size appliances (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, toaster, coffee pot, etc.) and has all the pots, pans, utensils, and dishes you'd have at home. We provide coffee, sugar, and creamer for your convenience. We know we can't handle mornings without that stuff, so why should you?!
The living room and both bedrooms have large TVs with antennas that access about 12 stations. The living room TV has a DVD player hooked up and ready to go. WiFi is provided as well.
The master bathroom has a hair dryer and flat iron in the drawers, and you'll find soap, shampoo, and conditioner in each of the bathrooms. There are towels in each bathroom, and lots more in the linen closet should you need extras.
There's a full sized laundry room in the townhouse and you're welcome to use the laundry supplies located there.
We have three bedrooms and one has a little office area, so if you need to catch up on any work, you'll have a nice desk to sit at and some privacy if you need quiet.
Each room has its own bed, and we have one twin size air mattress and one full size air mattress that you can use for additional guests if needed.
The backyard has a lovely little patio and a table with an umbrella if you'd like to hang outside and enjoy the weather. Please only smoke outside, and use the ashtrays provided.
You're welcome to park in the driveway. If you have more cars than will fit in the driveway, please use the visitor parking area adjacent to the park and the mailboxes. (It's like 50 steps away - not a big deal.) :)
If you make any little messes, you'll find cleaning supplies in the pantry. We appreciate you treating the place like your own while you're here! Interaction with GuestsWe live about 20 minutes away from the townhouse and we're available by phone, email, or text for any needs at all. If you want advice on the area or things to do, we'd be happy to opine. If you want to be left alone, you never have to see us. :) The house is accessed by key code, so we'll provide the code after you book and you can enter the house as needed from that point forward and through your the end of your stay. We change the code after each guest leaves, so you don't need to worry about any surprise visitors during your stay, The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is awesome and unique. It's a mix of old rural homes and newer pocket neighborhoods. It's within easy walking distance of lots of fast food, Starbucks, Dutch Bros, a liquor store (if you're not from Idaho, you can only get liquor at liquor stores - beer and wine are available at gas stations and grocery stores), and lots of small, independently owned restaurants (not chains!). You really must try Flying M Coffee Garage for great coffee, pastries, and odd little gift items, and Brick 29 for a delicious lunch or dinner in a gorgeous old downtown building. Getting AroundA car is pretty necessary around this area. Let us know if you have any questions about getting around. Other Things to NotePlease no smoking in the house. You can use the front or back patios, and please use the ashtrays provided. If you want to be a spectacular human, please empty the ashtrays into the garage trash can before you leave. We don't smoke and aren't keen on handling smoking debris, but to each his own.
No pets please.
The townhouse shares walls with its neighbors on both sides. The neighbors are very quiet besides the occasional sounds of kids frolicking. Please be courteous to the neighbors and keep the noise down.
