The SpaceThe subterranean environs create a cocoon of quiescent independence. Stays cool in the summer (central A/C helps!) and pleasantly toasty in the wintry months (central heat, no duh!).
Outside too, the wistful "hidden in the woods" feel abounds. Tucked behind a tall stand of mighty oak trees, the eight-unit townhomes wherein I reside, offers a suburban off-the-beaten-path sensibility.
And everything you need is within a mile, except for downtown Chicago and Milwaukee proper---you'll need 45 minutes to reach by car. Guest AccessGurnee Mills, a humongous indoor mall, is less than a mile away, as is Aria, a very nice hookah lounge, Shooters, a fantabulous billiards hall/bar, and ~4 mi from Great Lakes Naval Base. The NeighborhoodA quiet, suburban rural neighborhood that has just about everything you could need, within a mile radius. Kenosha and Milwaukee are within an hour drive (15 and 45 minutes, respectively). Chicago downtown (when traffic is good) by car is about 45 minutes, but there are public transportation options. A few close Metra train stations include ones in Grayslake, Libertyville and Waukegan.
