Guest AccessThree bedrooms, two full bathrooms (and for the adventurous, an outside shower), open-plan living area (compact kitchen/dining/lounge), patios, large garden (fully enclosed) and off-street parking behind gates. No washing but laundry facilities available in Hermanus, or privately in Fisherhaven. (Also char services can be arranged directly with Sherry.) Interaction with GuestsSherry will meet-and-greet and ensure that everything is in order before, during and after your stay. If you need a charring service during your stay, please liaise directly with Sherry. The NeighborhoodFisherhaven is home to a small community of young families, holiday makers and retired people. It is situated between Hermanus (15 km), Kleinmond (20 km) and Bot River town (30 km) - and provides easy access to the coast and mountains, and Cape Town city centre which is only 109 km away. There is an excellent cafe/superette in the village for necessities and everyday groceries. There are two restaurants in the village - pub grub at The Blue Roof Pub and Grill in the Crescent and Leo Romer's renowned fine-dining establishment Le Chalet in Riverside Drive. Both are within walking distance - pre-bookings are required for Le Chalet. Fisherhaven is an easy drive of wine estates, golf courses, mountain biking trails, fine and pub dining, etc and other coastal towns such as Kleinmond, Betty's Bay, Pringle Bay, Rooi Els in the west, and Stanford etc in the east. Getting AroundPrivate transport is recommended as it is easier to access the beaches, mountains and wine estates in one's own vehicle from Fisherhaven. To get around the village, bring bikes or walking shoes as it's comparatively flat. Other Things to NoteSea Rose is surrounded by open areas - and open areas mean that there are animals of all sorts: bugs, bees, spiders, snakes, chameleons, birds, horses, tortoises ... Please exercise the usual care when engaging with your natural environment.
Please bring your own beach towels.
There is a TV and DVD player. If you wish you can bring a USB hard drive or your own decoder. DSTV PVR can be activated but at full monthly rate. (Better for long stays.)
If you need a sound track for your holiday, please bring along your own playlist and device.
The usually dry summer in the Cape is often accompanied by fresh south-easterly winds, and winters invite north-westerly gales and rain. Cape weather isn't boring! Sea Rose faces on to the estuary so the high-winds, especially in winter, can be dramatic and impressive. Please don't leave furniture lying out where it may blow away, or be blown into something or someone.
